3 knobs man, come on.

Sound Quality : 9
You can get great sounds from this pedal. Put distortion before the flanger and it sounds really great. An equaliser really boosts your flanging. I've mananged to get really professional sounds from this. At the moment my setup is Squier Strat-->Dano T-Bone-->Dano Hash Browns-->Dano Fish and Chips-->amp. Makes bad amps sound better.

Reliability : No Opinion
I would probably gig with this, I don't see why not, but I've only had it since yesterday.

Overall Rating : 10
I play classic/hard rock. This pedal is great with distortion before it and an eq. Good price, good sounds.

No Brainer here. 3 Knobs

This is tough, the Flanger sound is good...BUT the unit alters the sound some what. It is definatly noticable if you run it after your pre-amp (which you should do to avoid mega noise created by the pre-amp). I used a patchmate to switch the unit in and out of my path and it made the signal louder and less clear. This was done with the flanger in the bypass mode.

Its great unit for the price and for people with simple systems or if you choose to use it before you pre-amp.

Well, it only has three knobs so it couldn't be hard. Speed, depth, and regeneration.

Sound Quality : 5
I'm not an especially big fan of flangers, since every time i play with one, i end up sounding like some jet plane van halen shit. But i learned a neat little trick with this. If you put a flanger in line before the signal is actually processed and overdriven, it seems to "confuse" the distortion sometimes. So don't run it through the effects loop unless you want some eddie van halen crap. Anyway, i can come up with some convincing Tool sounds here and there. Adam jones always had this way of making me wonder just what the hell he was doing. It seemed that sometimes his signal turned to mush and i couldn't make out what he was doing, just for a second. Well, i can sort-of do that with the pedal in line.

Reliability : 5
I'm sure i could break it if i tried, but i'm pretty rough with my stuff. Unless you're overly abusive towards equipment, it'll probably last awhile.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 7
I found one really good use for it. Like i said, i'm not into that progressive rock shit, but i guess this would work well for that. It's overall a cheap pedal that does exactly what it's supposed to do. No frills (except that 50's car thing that danelectro has going). Also if you turn all the knobs all the way down, you can get some really interesting preamp coloring. It's not bad, but i wouldn't pay anything over $30 for it.

Its very easy to use. Speed (controls how fast the effect modulates), Width (controls the intensity of the effect), and regeneration (controls the amount and intensity of the filter sweep). The only thing tricky about it is the sweep of the filter can be a bit unpredictable, but its probably the same way with most flangers.

Sound Quality : 9
This is my current signal chain. Guitar(Fender strat with seymour duncan little 59er in bridge or an epiphone sg) to boss oc-2 octave to ibanez ts-7 tubscreamer to peavey classic 50 head (a great underrated amp) then in the effects loop a mxr phase 90 to the hashbrowns flanger to dod stereo chorus to ibanez de-7 delay. The quality of the sound is great i usually keep the pedal set to speed at 1-2 oclock, regen at 3 oclock, and the width maxed out. This gives a really swooshy, detuny, trippy sound when played clean, and a jet plane sound when used with distortion (that van halen thing). This definetly isn't a weak effect, in fact its a noise makers (like me) delight. When my strat is in the tween position i can nail the intro to metallica's one(not that i like metallica i just like that particular song), yet the sound also reminds me alot of the sonic youth modulated clean sound on nyc ghosts and flowers (maybe they used it). Of course with distortion you can get some insane noises with this thing. Also with the regeneration turned all the way down, it does a pretty good twelve string impersonation. The effect doesn't seem to make any extraneous noise when bypassed.

Reliability : 8
Although it is made of plastic it is a tough little bugger (way better contructed than the sountank series by ibanez). Ive had it for about 9 months now and have used it on gigs and at numerous practices, Although i definetly wouldn't jump on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
For the price i paid this pedal is a steal. Im sure it compares favorably to the other flangers on the market (except for the really nice electro-harmonix ones) It already has helped me make music, and i love to use it when i play (im just really addicted to effects and noises).

Really easy to use,(Only three knobs)No manual, but it was not hard to find a setting I liked.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds really great. I use it with my Dano Fab tone,Dano Cool cat,and a Rocktek Delay, into my Peavey Delta Blues Amp.It has a really strong sound not weak like some of the other Flangers I have played.
I Keep the SPEED either really slow or really fast. You can get some really cool JET FLYBY sounds and some really cool Spacey sounds.I'll give it a 10 because it sounds so cool.

Reliability : 8
The plastic casing is not to strong but I think it would hold up in a concert.(unless you jump off your amp and land on it)With such a low price you could afford to break it.I wish that Danelectro had the Mini effects in Metal casing.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never dealt with them, but I hear that they have great Customer Support

Overall Rating : 10
I have played guitar for 3 years, And this is deffinitly one of the best Flangers I have played. If it was lost or stolen I would deffinitly get another

For this being a first for me using a pedal, using this pedal on a small practice amp (a crate, but will be looking for something, say a little bit larger) blew my mind. I was amazed at the variant speed controls, the deepnest of the flanger.

Sound Quality : 9
The sound was more than i bargained for when i first gazed at this item in it's oversized USPS shipping box. It's a very good sound for such a very small and lightwieght pedal.

Reliability : 10
Despite it's size and plastic casing (like everyone else mentions) I would mind recommending this to a friend who's into guitar work. I've even impressed a few non-guitar people as to it's power of sound. Although, it's sucked my Dano battery dry (and i'm not sure how much power was there when i got it), a decent 9volt keeps the sound coming for a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't tried their HR dept. but their website is a blast from the past.

Overall Rating : 10
When I had opened up the oversized box and stared in I blurbed out, "you gotta be kidding. I hope i know what i got into when i purchased it". Once plugged in though, this baby performed solidly. Not what i expected at all. I was thoroughly impressed.

Very simple... the 3 knobs are a bit small, but that's not a big deal. it also helps keep your settings from getting bumped around...

Sound Quality : 8
I'm playing a standard Strat to a Crybaby, then to the Flanger, Ibanez TubeScreamer, and an old Coral PA3. Sounds great for the price, and you can get some very sci-fi esque sounds with all the controls maxed out.

Reliability : 7
It seems like a sturdy casing dispite the fact that it's made with molded plastic... I haven't had a problem with it yet. One downside though - changing batteries can be a pain due to the inset screw on the underside. Only a problem if you have large hands.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't dealt with them yet.

Overall Rating : 7
I really like the switch used in the Danelectro mini-pedals. They don't "Click" on or off like a lot of stompboxes do, and it doesn't change your signal level at all. It's size is handy; it fits into a gig bag very nicely... I'd buy another if mine was stolen, and at $30, it's not a major money drain.

Very easy to use. 3 knobs. No manual, but that's not necessary.

Sound Quality : 9
I plug my Danelectro Hodad or my Fender Strat into an SKB pedalboard. The first loop is Wah > Big Muff > Danelectro Fab tone. That goes directly into my Tech 21 Trademark 60. The second loop is the Hash Browns into a Toneworks Pandora's Box into the effects loop. The nice thing about my setup is that I can keep the Hash Browns on and use the effects loop button on my footswitch to turn on and off the effect. I don't have to worry about smashing the pedal in the heat of the moment. I tend to either set all the controls at ten o'clock for a slow sweep, or I set everything to the max for really sci-fi kind of sounds. It sounds great with distortion, wah, ect. It sits well in the mix.

Reliability : 9
I do depend on it, but I also have flanging effects on my Pandora's Box if something were to happen.

Customer Support : 10
I own a lot of Danelectro products and I've never had any problem with them. I actually dropped my Fab Tone pedal down a flight of stairs and it still works great. If you have any questions then e-mail them and they'll get back to you really quickly.

Overall Rating : 10
I play various styles of rock music. This pedal rocks.

this pedal is pretty simple anyone could use it if you know about flangers at all

Sound Quality : 8
i havent played many flangers but this one is good all danelctro pedals have good sound and give no feed back

Reliability : 7
the danelctro baby pedals are made good for plastic pedals and they give a good sound but the knobs will brake easy!! so if your going to be jumping around and possibly landing on your pedal i would keep a backup

Customer Support : 5
dont know ( iknow that you get a lifetime warranty on the baby pedals though)

this is a good investment ive been playing for about two years i play with a fender american deluxe strat and a samick lp copy through a danelctro hashbrowns flanger, pastrami overdrive,t-bone distortion and a pepporoni phaser into a fender princeton 65 and the danelctro pedals all work well though the overdrive could be better thier still nice

This is a really cool, really simple little pedal. Three basic knobs to adjust speed and width, and a footswitch. It might take you a little effort to find a comfortable setting (depending on what your looking for), but this thing goes from sounding spacey to tough...

Sound Quality : 10
Guitar players... I am giving away what might be my greatest TONE secret. If you get famous before me, I'll probably regret this, but I bought this pedal with specific intent and use it solely with my Acoustic-Electric guitar. I play a Takamine EF-341C through either a Fender Hot Rod Deville or a Fender Acoustasonic SFX. This little pedal yields some of the coolest acoustic sounds I have ever heard. I love it... I still can't believe that $1000 guitar and a $600 amp sound so much better when you plug in to a $29 pedal named after a fried food product. If you are doing covers you can beef up some awesome tunes or if you are looking for your own sound this may be ticket. I usually throw all the knobs between 12 and 2 o'clock and let my fingers do the work. It is quiet and seems to be a true bypass circuit... if it isn't, well it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Reliability : 9
We'll see... so far so good... the plastic casing could be a problem in the future, but hey........ take care of the things that you love and you will not have problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
We've never had reason to chat...

Overall Rating : 10
In terms of rating this pedal based on its value, I look at its performance, not its price. If this pedal was $100 I would call it a great deal. If you are a big fan of playing your acoustic plugged in then this pedal could change your life. I just hope that it changes mine first.... Have fun with it...
