Five holes for five mini-pedals. You can load this puppy up in total darkness. There was a manual, well a single sheet with illustrations. It goes into the typical, "this is where you would want your delays in your chain, this is where the modulation effects would go, now here's where the overdrive goes...etc".

Sound Quality : No Opinion

Reliability : 8
Pretty darned reliable. I holds my pedals in place and the case doesn't slide all over the floor. But, don't go moving your pedals in and out of the holes too often. The catches tend to wear out pretty quick. Get your chain setup before sticking the pedals in the case.

I got my case and the tuner for free when I bought four other mini-pedals from my local dealer a few years ago.

it is damn easy, i would give it a 10 but i have a hard time trying to get my wah-pedal and boss delay to fit in those tiny slots. other than that, its pretty easy. yeah, just right for the minis

Sound Quality : 5
i give it a 5 because using it as a drum i made some conga-like sounds that would make shakira want to shake her booty on over to my house.

but i tried plugging it in and couldnt find the jacks. after i made some i plugged my guitar in and found that there was no sound going to my amp. i'm not sure if dano did this as a joke, but its not funny. however if you use a horse-hair bow on it you can get some jimmy page kashmir sounds

Reliability : 9
i would depend on it. its made of plastic, but its a hard space-age plastic. not the stuff your mom use to use in her tampons, but real hard stuff. it would take some serious deliberate assault to twist/break/bend this thing

Customer Support : 10
dano are very friendly and helpful, i dont think anyone is argueing this one

Overall Rating : 8
overall it works fine. other than the dead-sound when you try plugging your guitar in, it works.

i've been playing 16 yrs. i play everything. i also own a mini-twin amp. if it were stolen i'd probably try to get in touch with the F.B.I. and get some one on it S.T.A.T.

i love the gay-barney color.
i hate they way it "hurts" when you try to....you know??!!??
favorite feature is the way it is also a suitcase for other "stuff"
i compared it to a boss ds-1 and the boss sounded better.
i got it free, i didnt choose it, it chose me
i wish it had a built in lifetime supply ATM machine, but dano said that would be too "costly" for them.....smartasses
it helps me make music
i like to share

Nice, easy to use little case. It holds up to 5 Danelectro Mini Pedals, the Patch Cords, the Power Adapter and its Power Supply Line. After the initial assembly, all you have to do is open it up, plug your guitar in on one end, plug the amp in on the other end, and then plug the power supply in. After use you just disconnect it from your guitar and amp, pack the power supply into it, close the lid, and your off. It really couldn't be any easier to use.

Assembly was a tad difficult. First, in order to avoid having to disassemble it, I strongly advise that you make all of your patch and power connections to the pedal you wish to mount prior to attaching the pedal to the case. Depending on which spot you chose to place a pedal in, it can become difficult to plug the patch cords in which then results in having to remove the pedal, plug it in and then attach it again. (It was a pain in the ass.)

Putting the pedals into their pre-formed spots requires a very firm push. I had to actually step on them to get them to snap in and seat properly. Once there, they stay in tightly, but can be removed if necessary I believe that repeated removal of the pedals will, however, cause them to become loose over time.

The whole unit, fully loaded, is very light to carry. The power supply is powerfully enough to drive up to 10 Dan mini pedals, so I was told by Danelectro when I e-mailed them.

The manual that came with the case explains how to put it all together and in what order the pedals should be in for best performance.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds great! Not that the case has anything to do with the sound, but the power supply produces no hum at all. The patch cords produce so static at all and even when I use all of my effects at once (7 in all) I still get a great sound.

Reliability : 8
Fairly rugged, plastic case. The locking tabs on the front most likely will break off in time. Because the cabling and power supply line never get touched, they sound last forever.

Repeated removal of the pedals would most likely wear out the gripping power of the pre-formed locations. If the unit was dropped it would survive the crash and also help cushion pedals from damage, but I would not be surprised if it were to pop open and have the pedals pop out of their spots.

I would certainly depend on this case and its other supplied parts if I had to.

My dealings with the company have been by e-mail, and so far I'm very pleaded with them. Others also seem to have nice things to say about them.

The warranty I believe was for 1 year, but I'm not too sure about that. I did have some trouble mailing in the warranty card for this and other products from Danelectro. It seems as though they changed their mailing address to something other than what is printed on the warranty card because I received them all back from the Post Office and they were mark as not being forwarded because the forwarding time had elapsed. The warranty states that the card needs to be returned within 10 day of purchase. Well that time has long expired and I'm also out 5 stamps. I'd register them over the internet, but they don't seen to offer that capability on their web page.

I bought this Pedal Case to help me manage my sudden explosion of effect pedals that I came to own after purchasing Dan's "Summer of Love" 4 pack from Guitar Center. That in itself was a great deal, $39.99 for 4 great pedals. Those four along with my Pastrami Overdrive made five pedals that found a good home in this purple colored case.

Finding the case to purchase in the first place was the hardest part. I went to my local Guitar Center two days after Christmas only to find out that they were sold out and would not be stocking this item anymore. I then scoured the whole state of Rhode Island (not a big task) to find anyone who still might carry these cases. I finally found myself in a Daddy's Junky Music Store. Although they have not carried them for over 2 years, the manager just happened to have one sent to him a few days before for no apparent reason. Well, how lucky could I get at this point, I thought to myself, I'll pay almost any price for it now. Normally this item lists for $49.99 and typically sells for $39.99 and is worth every penny of it in my opinion. I, however, was offered the unbelievable price of only $9.99. I couldn't believe it, and I was told that the day before someone thought that was too much and passed on purchasing it. Thank you, is all I have to say to that.

Needless to say, I think this is one great little pedal case even at full retail. I also use a One Spot Power Supply Cable ($9.99) that can connect up to 5 standard pedals. I have it plugged into the 5th plug on the Dan's power supply line which I then use to power all of my remaining pedals with. Since most small pedals only draw 20 to 25 mA of power, the 200 mA power adapter that came with the case can power up to many as 10 pedals at once. With my setup, I have enough power coupling for 9 effects, so I'm good to go.

By the way, the only alternatives that were offered to me at all of the stores I shopped at had prices around the $150.00 mark. So if Danelectro's mini pedals are what you own, and you want to have a neat, handy, and cheap way to manage them, then you should seriously consider purchasing this item. I'm glad I did.

Simple, as the others have said.

Sound Quality : 9
I find with four pedals in, if they're off there's no noticable degredation of tone. I tested by pluggin in direct and then through the pedals. I was going to build a bypass but don't think I'll bother, now. All the connections are flat to the floor, too, unlike my old Boss PSMS which stuck three leads up into the air, and started making noises whenever I touched it.

Reliability : 7
Not as strong as the BossBCB6, but also much smaller, slimmer and lighter. I like small setups - the Boss got in the way and was too tall for my mike stand to sit over. I like that I can hold this case with two fingers.

I paid less for it than I got for the Boss second hand, as I got 20% off list. See how lucky you guys in the US are? No freebies like that over here. I like it a lot - simplified and lightened my rig no end.

YOU INSTALL YOUR PEDALS IN THE ORDER YOU WANT, AND VOILA!, YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY. THIS PEDAL BOARD IS ESPECIALLY GOOD IF YOU PLAY WITH DIFFERENT STYLES OF MUSIC WHERE YOU MAY USE DIFFERENT EFFECTS. THIS PEDAL-BOARD AFFORDS YOU THE CAPABILITY TO REMOVE EFFECTS THAT YOU DON'T USE WITH A PARTICULAR STYLE AND INSTALL A DIFFERENT PEDAL IN IT'S PLACE;eg Phasor, Octave Fuzz in 70's Disco vs. Tremolo and Slap-Echo in Early 60's Rock.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I FIND THAT I CAN GET ALL THE PEDALS (I USE DANO EXCLUSIVELY) I NEED FOR A PARTICULAR STYLE THAT I'M PLAYING IN THERE EXCEPT A WAH-WAH

Reliability : 6
iT'S GOOD ENOUGH CONSIDERING WHAT I PAID FOR IT.(I GOT IT FOR FREE AT THE GUITAR CENTER IN A SPECIAL SALE "BUY ANY THREE DANO MINI-PEDALS AND GET THE CARRY-CASE/PEDALBOARD FREE. THAT DAY I BROUGHT A MILKSHAKE CHORUS,DJ TUNER AND BLT SLAP-ECHO TO COMPLIMENT THE TUNA MELT TREMOLO AND PASTRAMI OD PEDALS I ALREADY HAD. IT WILL HOLD UP IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT AND NOT USE IT AS A TRAMPOLINE OR THE LIKE.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING AND RECORDING FOR OVER 35 YRS AND I PLAY VARIOUS STYLES FROM MODERN FUSION JAZZ, DISCO, FUNK, OLDIES (EARLY 50's & 60's ROCK 'N ROLL, HENDRIX, SRV, CLAPTON, SANTANA,LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM, PINK FLOYD, LARRY CARLTON, ERIC GALE, AND OTHERS. WITH THIS LITTLE PEDAL/BOARD I CAN SET UP FOR ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE STYLES BY SIMPLY INSTALLING THE DANO PEDALS WITH THE PROPER EFFECT(S) FOR THE PERFORMANCE I'M DOING. MY FAVORITE SET-UPS ARE: R to L, TUNER,OD, CHORUS, TREMOLO, & PB&J ECHO FOR OLDIES AND 60'S & 70'S. ALSO R to L: TUNER, CHILI DOG, PHASOR, CHORUS, PB&J ECHO FOR DISCO AND FUNK. I RECOMEND THAT YOU GET THE BLUES PEDAL COMBO THAT IS SOLD THROUGH MUSICIANS FRIEND, BUT SUBSITUTE THE BLT FOR THE PB&J PEDAL (IT GIVES YOU BOTH KINDS,ECHO AND DELAY FOR A COUPLE OF BUCKS MORE). IF IT WERE STOLEN I WOULD RUN TO GET REPLACEMENTS IMMEDIATELY (THAT IS IF I'M NOT ON DEATH-ROW FOR EVISCORATING AND CASRATING THE M.F.(S) THAT CHOSE TO VIOLATE ME. I HAVE A TESTICLE COLLECTION.

Open it up and put in your pedals. It does require quite a bit of force to put the pedals in.

Sound Quality : No Opinion

Reliability : 8
Fairly sturdy plastic, but don't use it as a trampoline! Only one big downer, if you remove a pedal (or pedals) a couple of times, the plastic tends to wear thin and doesn't hold them in the board as tight as they once were.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
Very convenient to have, just make sure the pedals you put in are where you want them to be the first time! Or else if you move them around to different positions, they may not stay in as firmly.

Very simple to use; just open it up, stick your mini pedals in, run the provided power supply and patch cables through 'em, and turn it on. The only real problem I encountered was that it takes a lot of force to lock the pedals in place.

Like the mini pedals themselves, this thing is made of some very sturdy plastic. I wouldn't jump up and down on it, but even did, it would probably come away without a scratch.

I've been playing guitar sans effects for a few years, but I recently decided to try out a few Danelectro Minis, and I bought this thing as well. It's a very convenient way to keep the pedals together, and of course, the inclusion of a power supply and patch cables is a very big plus.

Seems sturdy enough, but don't use it as a step stool: I don't think those tiny hinges and latches could stand much abuse ...

I've been playing for much too long now, but a pedalboard like this would have gone a long way back in the mid 80's to 90's when I was still in school (senior High to College), without wrecking my tight budget!

The pedals in my Mini pedalboard (my "retro board" as I refer to it) are: 1. Surf & Turf compressor, 2. French Toast octave Fuzz. 3. Chicken Salad vibrato, 4. Rocky Road spinning speaker and 5. BLT slap echo.

While it has its limits, it takes my sound in a retro trip, cool indeed since I'm into a weird blend of blues/folk/psychedelic rock. The mini pedalboard has been money well spent as it houses all of my mini Danos in a ready-to-carry/ready-to-play package.
