Very easy pedal to use. He gives you the classic Sola Sound circuit & improves areas like overall output & range of fuzz & tone knobs. No manual needed.

No problem getting Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page or any Tone Bender type tones. This pedal will clean up very well for a 3 germ pedal. I have an Analogman Sun Face (2 germ NKT). It won?t clean up like the Sun Face but I?m very surprised how well the Klone Bender 3 does clean up. ?Outstanding?! It's a bit noisy but not too bad, you don?t notice it when your playing. The effect doesn?t sound weak at all it sounds very full bodied & rich. I?m using Strats & a Les Paul into any of the following amps 65 Deluxe Reverb, 63 Vibroverb & 65 Twin Reverb. Very good tone I?m very surprised that I found this pedal so quickly. Usually it takes a couple of tries to find a pedal of this quality. Some builders pump up their product & shouldn?t.

This pedal is built with something that you don?t see much anymore. Care, Respect, Dignity & a complete regard for something that goes above & beyond just trying to make money. I?ve bought pedals that I wanted to smack the guy or ?big company? who built it. People should put PRIDE in what they do. Rick does & thank God for the few like him that do. There aren?t many like him around anymore. Anyone can build a pedal but only a few can really ?Build a Excellent Sounding, Well Constructed Pedal? Thank you Rick.
Can I depend on it? ?No Doubt?
Would I use it on a gig without a backup? ?Absolutely?

I?m a blues, funk, jazz & rock player with a bunch of equipment (that I use). I only purchase what I want & keep only what I think will last & has the best tone. The DeMarco Klone Bender 3 is one of those pieces. Thank you very much, for making me an ?Outstanding? pedal that I?ll use to make my soul shine thru. I?m positive you will hear from me again & I?m looking forward to our next transaction. You?re on my list of top builders.

This pedal uses the standard 3-knob Volume, Tone, and Fuzz configuration, it doesn't get any easier.

Let me start out by saying that I like germanium fuzz pedals in general, and I like 3 transistor Tone Bender style pedals most of all. I like the way that these pedals sustain, and I like the hairy
semi-out-of-control distortion that they produce. I tested this pedal
using an early 70's ES-335, a PRS McCarty, and a variety of Telecasters, going out to three Fender amplifiers: a Super Reverb,
a Deluxe Reverb, and a Princeton Reverb. I had this pedal side by side on the floor with a Fulltone SoulBender and a 70's Colorsound
Tone Bender. I set up all three pedals with the Fuzz on full, the
volume set to the dark side of the spectrum, and the volume set for a small boost above unity. I found I could set all three pedals up to do virtually the same thing, that crazy sustaining fuzz that I groove on - think Jimmy Page early ZEP, and the Neil Young on solos like "Cowgirl in the sand". The actual Colorsound has a chaos factor to it that has made it my favorite thing for years. But both
the Fulltone and the Demarco have much better signal to noise ratios. The tone knob on the Demarco is wider than the Fulltone, which gives you more mud on one end, and more hiss and spit on the other. Fuller engineered these not all together useful extremes out of his pedal, they remain in Demarco's pedal if you want them.
This is not an overdrive, and I would not call this fuzz smooth, but for what it is trying to be, the Klonebender 3 is excellent.

I play blues, old rock and entry level jazz, and as previously stated I am a ToneBender fuzz freak. That does mean that I'm heavily bias towards this of pedal, but it also means I've owned and extensively listened to: three Fulltone SoulBenders (including an early hammond box edition), a handfull of old Colorsounds, a mid-sixties Vox, and two prescription YardBoxes. I've auditioned a swack
more that I didn't buy. The Demarco hangs in there with the best of them. It doesn't have an LED, but this is not a subtle effect, so it's not hard to tell if it's on or not. It doesn't have a 9volt jack
and I wish it did for pedal board reasons.
These pedals are $139 new which is a great price concidering the
quality of the workmanship which is on par with Fullers, and better
than vintage. It has three gorgeous amperex germanium transitors and
super neat soldering and perf-board construction. This pedal is finished in gold hammerite which is absolutely deluxe looking.
I obtained mine
on eBay for $90. This is about 65% of what Soulbenders go for, and less than 35% of what Colorsounds and old Vox's sell for.
All in all, it's a heck of deal.
