Ease of Use : 7
It takes some practice and it also needs its own amplifier, as well as another amp or PA and a mic to amplify the sound coming out of your mouth, but other than that it's pretty much stick the tube in your mouth and start mouthing words.

Sound Quality : 10
Has a unique distorted sound that is affected by what amplifier it is powered by. I use an old 35w SS Crate amp that runs it very nicely and it will take up to 100 watts, but I think that much power could blow your throat out the back of your skull.

This thing is a lot of fun and can make some cool sounds. Much more versatile than a wah pedal.

For those who don't know how these work it is basically a speaker in a box that funnels the sound of your guitar or whatever electric instrument you care to use it with, through a tube that runs into your mouth. The sound then comes out your mouth and into a mic. This allows you to either talk or just make cool wah type sounds.

Peter Frampton made this famous in his Do You Feel Like I Do, as did Joe Walsh in Rocky Mountain Way, as well as other artists.

It is a fun toy and unique effect, but a bit of a pain to set up, though well worth it.

Reliability : 10
I've had this thing 20+ years with no problems. Pretty foolproof and not much to go wrong.

I play mostly blues and this thing is just fun to mess around with. I like to play slide with it and one time my sister stopped by and heard me and thought I was playing harmonica. I rarely try to make it talk because I have no reason to, I just like the wide range of sounds it can produce and I don't know anyone else that has one or uses one because they all use a wah. I have a variety of guitars and amps I use it with and they all sound great through it. The amp that powers it makes the most difference.
