I give this a 5 only because its not a 2 knob fuzz that you just put the level where you want and then turn the fuzz knob to taste. This is a 5 knob fuzz and all knobs are very interactive with each other. Its easy to get great sounds right off, but its not the easiest getting back to that same sound if you've messed with it. Its manageable, just takes awhile to figure out how everything relates.

Awesome. this is dangerous fuzz. don't get this for you're big muff replacement. This is dangerous stuff. so loud! I can't stress that enough. this pedal is extremely loud. the Gate and Oscillate options are great, vary the knobs' interaction even more. gate would be the more traditional fuzz side of the pedal and the oscillate would be the over the top side. the gate is pretty strong and I run a drive pedal in front of it to get any kind of sustain. This is a really knarly fuzz, but suprisingly transparent, letting the sound of the amp through. Not one of those pedals that makes every amp/guitar sound the same. the oscillate is harder to control, but can be done. I play mostly noise pop and 60's drone. Forget the fender blender, the shredmaster, and whatever else kevin shields was rumored to have used. This pedal makes that jet engine noise. And on oscillate, it makes that shin-ei feedbacking in the background "because this pedal must be broken sound" any psycho candy fan wished the reid brothers would have done album after album. To sum up, this is an excellent sounding fuzz for those that are looking for "out of the box" type fuzz sounds. Its not the smooth, violin sounding fuzz. I am sure you could get that from this pedal by tweaking. but why? too many other fuzz pedals do that already very well. Get this pedal to bring back the noise in fuzz.

only been a week, but these are hand built by musicians and are very well constructed. And, guaranteed for life. The designer and assemblers all play in bands (check them out, they are great: a place to bury strangers) and tour and all that. I am sure they know what the needs of a pedal are and seem to have been implemented in the construction. I opened it up to see the work and on the inside of the lid, in pen, written is the model name, #190, and the signature of three people. very cool.

? Hopefully it is never needed.

Top notch. perfect for what I want. I've been playing for a long time and have had many pedals, many of which were fuzzes. this is one of those pedals that just stands out. The only thing I wish it had, was a control for the gate. Maybe it does, I still am figuring out new sounds every time I turn it on.

Pretty straight forward. There are 5 knobs on this thing which I could see some people being overwhelmed by. It's ideal for me. The more options, the more opportunities for unique sounds. I had to play with the gate/oscillator switch to get sounds I wanted, but that's to be expected. If I plug a pedal in and it already does something I expect, it's kind of a disappointment. I want a pedal that sounds unexpected and good. One that will give me ideas, and this pedal does that all the time.

Some of the best fuzz I've ever heard. It's self-oscillating settings are amazing, speaker-rattling insanity. I use this pedal in my recording studio as the first go to pedal when clients are looking for something great and loud and different. It's very popular with the metal and noise clientele, but I've had some terrific results with traditional rock and experimental music (running violin/cello->SSFG>Fender Reverb>ProTools). I've tried it out with countless amps and dozens of instruments and I have yet to be disappointed. This is the best Fuzz pedal I have ever used.

I bought mine from a store in Brooklyn. After about a week the led burnt out. I took it back and they fixed the led for free. Not a problem since.

See above.

I would not let this pedal leave my studio. If stolen I would replace it. If borrowed I would miss it. I've tried about every fuzz pedal you can think of and this is the only one with the versatility, reliability and overall sound quality that brings a smile to my ears.

Five knobs: bias, density, fuzz, filter, and level.

The knobs on this pedal are HIGHLY interactive with each other. Find a good sound, try to tweak it by nudging a few of the knobs, and everything changes completely. Took me about a week to figure out the nuances of the controls, but well worth it.

My setup is usually a Fender Jazzmaster > Wobo buffer/booster > DBA Supersonic FuzzGun > Boss PS-2 Pitch Shifter/Delay > Danelectro Danecho > Boss DD-20 delay > Boss RV-2 Reverb > to '71 Fender Pro Reverb.

I use a Mesa Studio .22+ at home, and the Pro Reverb with my band. This pedal was VERY hard to get a good fuzz tone with using the Mesa, but once I plugged it into the Pro Reverb, I fell in love.

This pedal is capable of producing everything from subtle fuzz, to mammoth, paint-peeling, ugly sheets of white noise/feedback.

I get a very dense, warm wall of fuzz with this pedal, kind of like William Reid of the Jesus and Mary Chain circa '85, which is just fine by me. By playing with the knobs and experimenting, I've found a great setting with the perfect combination of dense fuzz and clarity.

I use mostly with the gate/oscillation switch in the gated position, but in the oscillation position, this thing gets very ugly/noisy/out of hand (in a good way), a lot like the fuzz tone on the first Jesus and Mary Chain album.

This pedal interacts wonderfully with everything else on my pedal board. This thing is the tits.

Haven't dealt with them yet. Says on the box, "Run over it with a truck, DBA will always fix your pedal, no matter what is wrong with it, for free. Contact DBA prior to sending to make arrangements for repair."

You can't beat that with a stick.

I play in a post-shoegaze/indie rock band. I had been using a Big Muff, but was looking for something a little more distinctive/different.

This pedal delivers the goods in spades. This is probably my favorite pedal I have owned in the 15 odd years I have been playing guitar and accumulating gear.

I LOVE this pedal. I would most definitely replace if stolen.

Easy to get good sound from --but with some tinkering you can get truly crazy fantastic sounds. This pedal is like playing with another musician. it eggs you on--challenges you to add to the mayhem. It plays back at you!

Whole mess of effects Fulltone, Keeley, EH, Zvex, Line 6, Frostwave, Maxon, Mobius and more. This pedal is for crazy, huge, biting, thick, grinding fuzz. and is a wonderful noisy mess! Don't buy it for classic rock or blues jams!
Think ambient assalt noise fest. Plays well with others (I run it on my mono board in a Mobius feedback looper with a POG and AD900) A truly beautiful thing!

I caught them during a move, so not to much contact but the box arrived in a timely manner and their website has all you need to know

I play improvisational/ambient/loop guitar music. I run a stereo setup through 2 amps and two loopers I have custom switchers to allow routing of my guitar signal to any combination of amp/looper. Been playing a very long time and love create on the fly. This pedal is not for the tame or lame. But can be applied to everything and anything with the right approach. I love it and recommend it highly to any guitarist who is looking to sound unique. And make a whole lot of wonderfully shocking noise.
