Very simple standard labeled controls, good heavy-duty footswitch, function-on light also gives a visual on the speed/rate. Heavy-duty metal box that will still be around with Keith and the cockroaches.

I have tried this through a number of set-ups, with a TS-9 into a 50W plexi and with a Deltalab Tube Driver into a solid state Raven POS as well as into the FX loop of a Marshall reissue with the master volume gain fairly high, and I rarely use the FX loops. I went to a lot of trouble because of the disbelief over the price. This chorus is excellent. I had to force it to make noise using a single-coil stock Strat and an MT-2, and that's the only time that I heard the swirly noise that I've heard about from one source that seems to follow the indicator light. I really had to push it into unreasonable territory to get the crud, so I'm thinking that the other guy had another problem with proximity to his tube amp or some such thing. Results; this thing sounds great. I own a CE-2, and I like this more. I put it with a Fulltone DejaVibe mini, and this was much better, especially considering the price being less than .25 of the Fulltone unit. The SC-1 is an excellent value. It has a very nice sparkle and the rate doesn't thin out the tone of the guitar. With a Les Paul the SC-1 wasn't overcome by the thicker tone of the humbuckers, even in the neck pos. A Strat got even sweeter and yes, I got a very convincing Trower-esque tone, especially with a Fulltone RTO. The Digitech Hardwire chorus may have more variety, but I still found the tones in this tough little guy more useful all around.

The unit appears to be very well armored and fairly RPG-proof. Popping it open I can only speculate as to how someone finally made one of these at a price that fits the amount of material.

I cannot imagine the circumstances under which this might suffer. These haven't been around long enough to wear out (yes, they do, and remember that when someone tries to get hi-$ from you for a "vintage" anything!), so... I'll give them a high mark for pre-emptive common sense.

I play anything style-wise on my contract. I am not asked to do much in the way of classical guitar, but pretty much the lot of the rest. For me, equipment is a tool box, whatever tool(s) I need for any particular given job, I apply. I put this lil' dude into my little room jam rig which is a TS-9, the SC-1 and whatever else is called for. I would replace this if anyone were foolish enough to steal from me. I constantly research gear. I am an "old pro", 40+ years. What I really love about it is the price/functionality ratio, it does a great job for a lot less in a day when I see way too many idiots doing the freakin' River Dance on a half-acre of stompboxes that seem to have become status symbols. I like this because it gets me a tone that inspires me to let slip the mortal bonds and simply play.

Three knobs is all there is, rate, depth, and effect level. Easy to dial in a good mono patch. The manual isn't much but you don't need much. I just wish it had expland that the B output only comes on when the effect is engaged. Otherwise the dry signal is not sent. That is a big bummer in my book. This unit is only good for mono use.

Sound Quality : 5
My amps are a 68' Bassman and a 65' Bandmaster both going through their own 65' Vibrolux 2x10 cabs. My guitars are a G&L Commanche, Gibson Standard SG, and a Heritage 555. To be honest I didn't get very far once I realized what was going on with the B output. I tried several diffrent cords and even thried more units out to see if this was me or the unit itself. It does have a nice chorus sound but not very deep but I wasn't going for deep. I just wanted some light chousing for cords and finger picking.

While I did email Delta Lab I didn't wait for a reply. I emailed on late on a Friday and returned the pedal on Saturday. So I have no comment

I have been playing for over 25 years and been through a ton of gear and never have I ran into this issue. I would have kept the unit if I ran only one amp but I don't. It did not fit my set up and for this I am giving it this middle of the road rating.

Three knobs - rate, depth, level
Pretty easy to get the sound you're looking for. There are pretty wide parameters for each of the knobs.

I chose the SC1 because it's small, it's true bypass, it's cheap, and most importantly - it sounds great!

I use this with a custom made strat style guitar with Purebred Pickups from Budz guitars and a PRS Custom 24 through an Anderson Amplifiers 20/45.

I mainly use the SC1 to add a little lushness to leads. It sounds great clean or with distortion effects. You can also get a perfectly usable Leslie type chorus sound out of this. It adds a tiny amount of noise, almost unnoticeable.

This is built pretty solid. It's a little bigger than an MXR style box. There are some plastic parts on this unit, but there's nothing fragile about it. I'd venture to say it's much more dependable than the Small Clone box. One nice thing is that there's a battery cover on the back plate, so if you use batteries, you don't have to constantly remove the back plate.

I play jazz and bebop, blues, country, and rock. I'd say for what I use this for, the SC1 is a great little pedal capable of everything I need from it.

I have a modded Boss CS-3 (can't remember who modded it), a Keeley Modded Crybaby, Fulltone Full-Drive 2, Paul Cochrane Timmy, Keeley modded Boss MT-2, a Time Bomb Boost from Gearmmandude (on youtube), Hardwire DL-8, and an MXR Smart Gate to keep it tidy.

This pedal sounds REALLY nice for the money.
Other pedals I was considering at the time were the Analogman Chorus, the Home Brew Electronics THC, and the Electro Harmonix Small Clone.

If it got lost or stolen or it broke or something, there's a chance I might get the Analogman, but again... for the money, the DetaLab SC1 can't be beat.
