Demeter BEQ-PB Bass EQ

It doesn't get any easier.

This Eq pedal is king. Nothing even comes close. My rig consists of a Crown XTi 1000 series power amp, Demeter VTBP-201S Tube Preamp, 1979 Fender P Bass w/EMG, 1972 Gibson SB-350 w/ Dimarzio PAF's (short scale). My effects board has a Boss TU-2, Ibanez Phat Head Overdrive, Boss CE-2 (Jap), and now the Demeter BEQ-PB. All pushing through a 4x10 cab loaded with Tone Tubby Super Boys.

The Demeter VTBP-201S preamp is by far the best sounding piece I've ever owned. I started with an SWR WP 400, good but not enough power. Then I went to the Alembic F1-X, cool but extremely hard to dial in with the parametric EQ. I finally ended up with the VTBP-201S and it was EXACTLY what I wanted in a preamp. Easy to dial in and keep in the sweet spot. The only problem was that the EQ was not diminsional at all. It just doesn't shape the tone very much. Hence the Demeter BEQ-PB Bass EQ. This thing sounds SO freakin good paired the VTBP-201S. It might be hard to imagine the tone getting better, but believe me it is night and day difference once you get the pedal dialed in (which took me about 30 seconds). Before the Demeter EQ, I tried the Boss GEB-7.....piece of crap. Maybe it might sound ok through a cheaper head or preamp. But when you put that thing in front Demeter it literally sucked the tone right out. It was horrendous.

If your lucky enough to live around a shop that carries Demeter..plug into the BEQ-PB and try it out. If your like me and don't even have a decent music store within 100 miles then don't be afraid to slap down $200 for this pedal. It is worth every single penny.

Never needed them in the past. Wouldn't suspect any problems if I did.

I play blues, rock, some alt country stuff. Been playing for 15 years. If it were lost I'd cry. If it were stolen then somebody else would be crying. Definitely would replace it.
