Very easy to install, depending on guitar, mine; an Ibanez SZ720FMTB, and I love the 4-conductor cable, so I can set this up for a LP type humbucking mode, instead of the awful, standard setup on this great guitar. I Love them!

The most brilliant, clean, clear, and responsive Humbuckers I've ever had, and I've gone through a couple. I decided to go with Nickel Covers, b/c in my opinion, it totally adds a new dimension to palm mutes and I think it improves the overall tone and quality. I didn't want to go with anything High Output or with Distortion, b/c that's why I have those pedals, to do all that, I wanted a clean, clear, tone. And being that Eric Johnson designed these, I was certain they had to be great, since he's the biggest tone phreak ever! They sound amazing for any style, my band plays Blues, Rock, Metal...f'n Motorhead and they rock. So yes, the low Output and Resistence Humbuckers w/ Nickel Covers can pull off Motorhead! Or they can just be whatever you want them to be. I use them through an array of True Bypass Pedals into a Fender Twin (96' Model) Reissue, sounds great! Just what I was looking for!

So far yes, I originally ordered another type and just didn't like them, so I sent them back within the 30 days and got these, I don't see them going out on me, I installed them, so the problem would only be wiring!

DiMarzio Rules, you get 30 days to rock the crap out of your Pickups, and if you aren't satisfied, just send them back, and within days you get exactly what you ordered! I love it, the guys there talk to you like a Human Being, not a Customer! They took great care of me, and will remain with DiMarzio forever because of that!

I play it all, from Phish to Motorhead, Probot to Silverchair, Clapton to SRV, these are just right for anything you want, now shredheads, you might want to get something a tad bit higher in output, but I love these. They are for me, and that's what matters. If you aren't concerned about High Output, Super Distortion type buckers, and just want to hear your guitar play the way it should, without Modulation, these are the one's to get, and the Nickel Covers are great! Nice look too! Just remember, if you have an Ibanez, Fender, or other guitars that have a certain nut spacing of I believe 1-11/16, but don't take my word for it, I just know that you need F-Spaced ones, that's what these are and I would recommend them to anybody who plays the following and has a nice amp.
-Rock, Jam Band, Country, Jazz, Metal, anything really, maybe not Shredding, but that's another story, that's the Mo' Joe, PAF Joe, or one of Vai's Humbuckers there! But be careful, you'd be suprised at the Output at around 300 mV, that's rockin, loud, no clean on them!
because of the Low Output, you just have to crank the amp up a notch, which most guitar players will say...hell ya! True Tone, almost Tube like Warmth, great high end, and low! Perfectly balanced out, find that groove and rock it forever! Get em! If you don't like them, send them back, but I recommend them to
