I use it for all my pedals, a Korg DT-10, a Boss MT-2, Boss GE-7, Marshall SV-1. Gives off a little hum on the MT-2....but that's natural on the MT-2 anyway. It powers them to the maximum, the LEDs have never been so bright on my pedals.

Simply plug the daisy chain to one end and the power lead to the other and your away. No switches or anything complicated which is good when you are trying to set up quickly! An LED tells you it's on and everything is working all right. And as far as my experience goes the only pedals it can't power are ones that come with their own dedicated power supplies anyway. Can't give it anything but 10.

I have not gigged my new board/pedals/this unit yet but have experimented at length in the house and in a "live setup" situation at full band rehearsals and I can't say I've experienced any noise from this power supply. Even right next to my amplifier there was no hum.

So far it seems very dependable. I don't see any reason why it should break down. I believe it protects pedals from overloading and I plug it into a surge protector to begin with so when the time comes I'll be happy to gig without a backup. Before I bought it and was researching various power supplies and I happened to see someone using this unit on their board for a gig in a local bar. I spoke to the guitarist after the set and he had nothing but praise for the Powerstation. He worked in a guitar shop also so I considered his opinion informed.

I would give more than 10 here if I could!!! Every email I have sent to Diago has been responded to very quickly and all the information I've been giving has been very helpful. I had all sorts of questions before I bought this unit and I got honest, helpful answers and facts not the usual "standard auto-replies" you get from some companies. Also the website is very helpful - loads of great info and pictures.

It's got to be 10. This thing does what it says on the tin, I consider it good value for money and it takes up little space of my board. Also comes with velcro for mounting it which is a bonus. And I've ran it for a good few hours in the house and it hardly got hot at all. I have and will continue to recommend this product (and the manufacturer) to others.

You just fit the included daisy-chain adapters to your pedals, plug it in, job done!
Adding the coloured, converter adapters diago offer to power more awkward pedals that don't use the common boss style adapter (such as the line 6 dl4, electro harmonix big muff etc) is just as easy as you just attatch them to the adapter on the daisy chain.

If my powerstation was stolen.. I'd immediately replace it.
Its level of ease and practicality beats the other power competitors in my opinion. It can power many more pedals (up to 30 I believe) than the dunlop brick n that crazy voodoo lab power supply and is much cheaper and smaller!
Although this power station is a daisy chain based unit, the chain is solid and there has been no loss in sound quality to my ears.
good stuff =)

Connect your pedals to the daisy chain, plug the unit into the wall and thats it. Easy!
The standard daisy chain has 2.1mm negative centre barrel connectors which fit most boss/mxr/fulltone etc type pedals. Some pedals need different adapters ie dunlop wah, line 6 etc, diago has adapters available for pretty much anything. You can also connect more daisy chains to power more pedals from one power supply, up to around 30 maximum! Plus you can buy ac leads with different plugs for use in different countries with no need for a voltage transformer.

Plug it into the wall socket... plug the daisy chain cable into the adapter... plug in your pedals.. voila! Certain brands of pedals need different adapter cables which simply slot onto your daisy chain, they make adapters for most pedals. I have an older model and the daisy chain is quite short, making it hard to reach around some pedals, but they have since improved the design with a longer cable as standard.
A little green light lets you know its working and the power is on at the wall. Unit is nice and compact, the main block is a little smaller than a ten deck of cigarettes..

Very easy - plug in and go.

Very easy to use straight out of the box, there is a diagram on the internet for the various types of connectors to use (such as Line 6, older Electro Harmonix pedals) but you can figure it out easily. And it powers my Line 6 DL4 without another power supply.

I'm recommending it to friends - it may seem a lot to pay (although a lot less than some 'Powerall' Power Supplies) but it costs the same as a half decent pedal - If you are serious about your set up, this needs to be your first port of call for power. Its like buying your tuner pedal - you know you need a good PSU as part of your essential kit

It's very easy to use. Simply connect the daisy chain to the PS01, connect the daisy chain(s) to your pedals, switch, looper etc. Plug the PS01 in your mains socket and that's it !!... No switches or dials. Do you need an adapter for NON-standard BOSS connections simply plug the appropriate adapter (think they got them all) between the daisy chain and the pedal. It will work almost anywhere around the world it accepts 90-246 V AC and 50-60Hz.

Sound Quality ??... Find it hard to give it a rating in this category because it has no sound and it doesn't affect your sound. It really is quiet and I have had no hum problems. Could give it a 10'er, but find it more appropriate with No Opinion as just described.
I use it to power:
Lehle lopper
KORG DT-7 tuner
Boss CH-1
EHX Holy Grail, needed a blue adapter
Rocktron Short Timer Delay
BYOC - Screamer
T-Rex Comp Nova
And I got a MXR Flanger that I am planning to power, but I need the 18 volt adapter, need to get one.
Waiting to get Carl Martin - Octaswitch (looper) and is planning to power it as well.

This power supply is small, light and fits snuggly on the effects board without taking too much room up like other power supplies I've used in the past leaving more room for pedals. Its easily the best piece of kit I've bought recently.

Not the cheapest power unit available, but you only get what you pay for I say.

The size of this unit is also excellent- much smaller than some of the other products on the market- which saves premuim pedalboard space.
Additionally this unit can supply a huge amount of current (3Amps) much more than many others which means if you are running some of the higher current pedals you don't run out of available current.

This is an update to my previous review.
I've had my Diago power supply for quite a while now and my pedal board has grown in size since I bought it. So, I headed over to the Diago website to get another daisy chain cable. I was pleased to discover that they now stock a 'deluxe' daisy chain cable with right-angled connectors (a definite bonus), and most importantly LONGER LEADS BETWEEN THE CONNECTORS (an essential improvement). Apparently, this improved daisy chain is now supplied as standard with new power supplies. I received the improved cable a few days ago and it essentially addresses the minor criticism I had of the version of the product I bought. Now there is plenty of slack between connectors to hook up all my pedals.
In other reviews here, several people on HC have mentioned the short interconnecting cable lengths of the originally supplied daisy chain. James at Diago has clearly listened to customer feedback and addressed this minor niggle. Now it???s perfect. Nice one James.

This power supply is excellent and, now that James has addressed the minor niggle of cable length on the daisy chain, it's a total no-brainer in my book. If you need a new quality power supply for your pedals and, like me, you think that the cost of specialist power supplies from certain other well-known manufacturers is taking the p1$$ then check this out.

This product is ridiculously easy to use, just wack in the AC adapter (which is more than long enough to connect safely to a power supply) into the little box, and connect the daisy chains to the box and straight to the pedals. Simple, efficient and most importantly (for a clumsy footed guitarist like me) safely.

Before buying my Diago setup I was using a board with a wall-wart style brick attached, and it caused no end of trouble with a Morley Wah Pedal, which irritates, especially with such levels of distortion... The Diago fixed it all. All my pedals are powered properly, there's no hum (or at least none from the power... you can't lose the hum from your guitars or your amps!), and it really improves on the wallwart!
Current Setup:
Gibson SG Special
Danelectro FAB Metal (for fuzz)
Danelectro Blue Paisley (boost)
Ibanez PH7 Phaser
Morley Power Wah
Digitech Whammy Wh-4 (connected to seperate adaptor - not compatible with Diago probably due to the AC and the excuricating 1.3A it sucks out of the plug, although the Diago can take 3A)

I'm a bit of an effects junkie, and to have a product that says I can power up to 30 pedals (!!!) is a dangerous time bomb on my wallet... but sure enough, it's a kickass piece of kit, which shouldn't be ignored or sidestepped. If you like your gear to work and sound pristine, and to cut down on the wallwarts so you've got more space for pedals (and lets face it, who doesn't) then go for it.

Very easy to use - plug the daisy chain into the output from the Powerstation, then plug into each of your pedals, via any adapters needed for pedals which don't use the boss-type power scheme - Diago can supply a variety of adapters which cover pretty much all the variations, for a few quid each. Connect the powerstation to the mains. Job done. If you have more than 5 pedals, or some larger pedals, you'll want to get extra daisy chains.
Sound Quality
:
10
The sound quality of your effects chain can be seriously degraded if the power supply is noisy, or can't supply enough juice in a stable fashion.
There are no such problems with the Powerstation. It can supply 3,000mA, and power up to 30 pedals (if you buy enough additional daisy chains). I could not detect any noise over and above what you'd get when using batteries.
In fact, the Wah/Volume (which requires 18v on a 3.5mm pin, hence I got the voltage doubler and blue adapters from Diago too) sounded noticeably better than when I was using a multi-voltage/multi-adapter job.
The Powerstation appears to be very well shielded. To test it, I had it, the pedals, and the amp set up very close together, and there was no extra noise at all, even at high volume.
My set-up is currently Fender 70s Reissue Strat (Ash/Rosewood) with Seymour Duncan Lil'59s > Morley Slimline Wah Volume > MXR Auto-Q > Blues Driver with Keeley Phat Mod > Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe > Session SG-75 MkII 2x10 combo w/Celestions.
Reliability
:
9
The Powerstation is very solid in construction, and all the connectors fit snugly together. If anything, the voltage doubler adapter seems to be a slightly looser fit onto the daisy chain than the other connections, but once in place on a pedal board there are no problems. It comes with a strip of adhesive velcro to fix it to the board.
With the pedals there is always the backup situation of using batteries.
The ultimate backup is of course to plug directly into the amp ! You *can* play without the effects, right ?

James at Diago is a very friendly, efficient chap. I wasn't sure if the powerstation would power my Morley, so I emailed him, and got a really helpful response. I get the impression that any problems would be dealt with quickly with a minimum of fuss.

I play mainly blues and hard rock. I've been playing for over 20 years, and I've owned many guitars, amps, effects units and power supplies. This is a good unit. If it went missing, I would not hesitate to get another one.
What I love most about the Powerstation is that it is a very good power supply in such a small unit - it takes up next to no room on the pedal board.
Until I found the Powerstation, I was beginning to think I would never find a reasonably-priced power supply that would power the Morley.
The Diago Powerstation comes highly recommended !

Generally use a clean tone with a crybaby, envelope filter, couple of overdrives, Chorus in the way. Use single coils, so don't appreciate anything that adds noise. This seems to fit the bill and is solidly built to boot.
This seems to fit in it's own niche. Outside of this you either get a Boss PSA at half the price and a quarter of the robustness, or one of the very expensive US power supplies like the DC Brick. I'm sure the latter is a great bit of kit, but with this, you don't really need it. Oh, and it's supplied with a bit of velcro for your board. Nice touch.

Very easy. It automatically decides what current to use for your pedals, so all you have to do is plug in and play. If your pedal accepts a 9v battery, it'll work with the Diago......no matter what input it takes (Diago supply the nescessary adaptors, including a 9v plug. Have a look on their website for details. www.diago.co.uk)
It powers up to 30 pedals!!
There's also a really handy guide on their website to what pedals are compatible with the supply, what adaptor you'll need etc.

I only just got it a week ago, but I can't imagine it breaking down on me anytime soon. I've also got a Diago pedalboard, and it's sturdy as hell.

James Kitchen (owner of Diago) is the best guy out there, enough said. He personally answers emails within a day (often even within minutes) and is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Excellent item, and very reasonable price compared to the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power and similar items. It's also very small compared to other power supplies, and weighs less than a hamster.

The persons who designed the Diago PS01 powerstation power supply, is a musicians best friend. I really do mean this. Being a sceptic, I thought there's no way this little square box of dynamite is capable of doing exactly what Diago states.. . NO HUM.
I have sourced a lot of different power supplies, and sometimes they work and the're times when the HUM, is there. Not a nice sound.
I have recently been back to places [ giggs ] where I had a lot of trouble with HUM , and when I said to my wife '' here goes '' plug my PS01 in and to my relief . . . silence is golden !
My wife, purchase a showman pedal board for me , and was asked if I needed a power supply, with this my wife said '' no '' as I already had one.
After receiving my board for xmas, I was over the moon at this well presented pedal board and immediately got rid of my old board and reset all my pedals into there new home, now . . it looks great but I still have the problem of HUM.
Jane, said she was asked about a power supply but said that I already had one , and that I should check out the Diago web site and look at the power supply they had.
Reading the write-up on the PS01, I looked at the item and said to myself . . .
no way can that little black box do what they say. So I left it for about a month, and got sick of the continueing hum noises from various venues, so I thought about it and finally took the plunge.
I have since told EVERY muso I know that uses pedals to go on-line and see for themsleves as I can't rave enough about this product.
I thank my wife for putting me onto the DIAGO website, and thank you guys from both my ears, you are a musicians friend.
Keeping it real.
cheers

I have just replaced my old power supply (bought from a leading high street electronics supplier) with the Diago PS01. The Diago is about 1/8th the size of the old one and about half the size (and price!) of the DC Brick. This makes it very space saving and wallet friendly and the daisy chain application makes powering my mix of Boss, Digitech and Voodoo lab pedals simplicity itself.

I use a fender Clapton strat a Fender 4x10 Blues DeVille amp, a Voodoo lab sparkle drive, Boss chorus, Digitech Main Squeeze and Digidelay, Dunlop Crybaby on a Pedaltrain pedal board
There is no mains hum or interference. Highly recommended.

I play rock and pop covers. I have been playing live for 5yr. As it is a power supply there are no issues with style of music and I would certainly replace it if lost or stolen. Any one who has used pedals live will know that they eat batteries so a mains power source makes good sense.
