The Diago Powerstation can be used at either USA voltage or European/UK voltage (you'll need only a plug adaptor not a power supply convertor). It comes supplied with a daisy chain lead suitable for pedals that have the same power requirements as standard compact Boss pedals - other adaptors are available at additional costs. Plug it into the mains, plug the pedals into the daisy chain, simples!

Absolutely silent, no hum, no nothing and I run a combination of Boss, Carl Martin, Danelectro and I bought an 18 volt adaptor for a MXR chorus pedal. Half the pedals are in the effects loop and half are in through the front, a complete miss match of voltages, milli-amps, analogue and digital but it deals with them all brilliantly.

All you need to do is plug the AC mains cable into the Powerstation and then the daisy chain lead and that's it!
The mains cable is a decent length (2m), much better than having a thinner cable going back to the main unit at the plug, so makes this much more road worthly compared to the Boss PSA I was previously using.
The daisy chain cables have a decent length between ends to cater for various pedal sizes. Also you can link the daisy chain leads togther so as long as you keep within the 3000mA you can link as many pedals as you need (and 3000mA is loads!)
From the Powerstation I use two of the daisy chain running:
Boss TU-2 Tuner
Boss CS-3 Compressor
Electro-harmonix Micro Pog
Biyang EQ-7
Boss TR-2 Tremolo
Biyang PH-8 Phaser
Marshall Regenerator RG-1
Boss CE-5 Chorus
Boss DD-5 Delay
Boss RC-20xl Looper
No problems at all powering that lot.

Hasn't let me down yet, seems really sturdy (good tough materials used for the main box).
I'd suggest keeping a spare daisy chain and powerlead if you're gigging regularly, but that's just as a saftey net and not based on any failures!

I haven't dealt with them directly apart from ordering so I'll give it a 9 (based on other users experiences)
Ordered direct from their website which was quick and easy. Despatch was really quick so can't fault their service.
Their website even gives details of their competitors products, now that shows how much faith they have in their own range!
The compatability chart is also fantastic (lists most common pedals showing their power requirements and compatability with the powerstation). Great to check how much current you need.

Previously I used a Boss PSM, and then the Boss TU-2 with a PSA and daisy chain. I didn't really have any issues with those until I bought more and more pedals and needed to up the current I had available. I was recomended the Diago from a guitar forum (www.Guitars.co.uk/Forum) and it just looked perfect.
Great product, and a really decent price.
If you want to power multiple pedals then get one of these!

Very simple to use. 3 bits to plug together, plug it in and then chain up your pedals. The little LED is a nice touch to let you know that it is working, and could be useful in trouble shooting power problems, should they ever arise.
It is currently powering my pedalboard, and with a quick comparison to battery power, I did not notice any change in noise levels, which is a very good start. Admittedly, I do not own any pedals that have a reputation for playing up when daisy chained, but I am unable to fault it so far.
Has pretty good compatibility when additional adaptors are bought. The only glaring holes are 12V and 24V adaptors, which does cause a point to be dropped. Otherwise, very easy to use and very few cases where you will need to make separate power arrangements.

I am running a custom shopped 5 string Warwick Corvette through a Warwick Sweet 15.1 amp. The powerstation is powering a Barge Concepts VBF-2, a Fulltone Bass Drive, a Boss ODB-3 and an Ibanez Weeping Demon. In addition, it has also powered some pedals I have borrowed off friends.
As said before, it doesn't seem to introduce any notice at all into the signal. The effects all have plenty of power, so it is impossible to fault it.

I have owned it for over a year now, and it has yet to fail me. I barely even turn it off, and yet it still is only ever so slightly warm.
I would gig without backup, but then again, I have a "panic button" to bypass all my effects in case of power failure. While you could trust it not to fail, if the gig is important, you would be a fool not to have a backup of everything.

I've contacted James several times, and his relies were always quick and very helpful. I have not yet had to deal with any returns (see reliability) so I cannot give a perfect score. However, if it is anything like his response to questions about the product, it would score a 10.

It's a solid power supply. Plain and simple. It has masses of power on tap, great compatibility (other than the previously mentioned 12V and 24V) and introduced no noise. It is also far cheaper than many other power supplies. The ability to buy additional daisy chains is very useful, as it keeps the setup as compact as you need it to be, while having massive potential.
It also has a very nice small size, which means it takes up very little space on the top of a pedalboard, and can be held to the underside of a pedalboard that has a bit of clearance.
It can't get a perfect 10, as it isn't perfect. However, unless you have a fetish for the 24V EHX pedals, this is a very good power supply for a solid price.

I bought the Diago Powerstation to power my pedalboard in as simple a way as possible, wanting to avoid the clutter of tangled power cables and over-loaded sockets. The Diago delivers all of this in a simple, easy to use package which took me only a few minutes to set up. Now my board of eight pedals requires only two power outlets, my entire rig taking up only three sockets in all (Diago, Whammy and Amp). Very simple, very easy to use.

I use the power station to power my Korg Pitchblack Tuner, Zvex Fuzz Factory, EHX Micro Q-Tron, Cry Baby wah, Boss CE2, Boss BF2 and Line 6 DL4, which is all but one of my pedals (my Digitech Whammy pedal requiring it's own seperate power supply). All of my pedals function correctly off the power station, with no noise or degredation of sound quality.

I've been gigging a lot with my power station and it's seen a lot of abuse (being jumped on, drinks spilt near it, use over excessively long periods). I've not once had a problem with it and don't expect I ever will. Very reliable.

Whenever I've had a technical question for Diago they've been available to take my phone call straight away, in most cases speaking to James Kitchen (Diago's managing director) himself. He always gives informed and helpful advice and in my experience can help with all of your technical enquiries without problems. As customer support goes, it doesn't get any better.

When faced with the problem of buying a power supply for all of your pedalboard there are a few competitors on the market (namely power supplies from Voodoo Labs and Dunlop's DC Brick), however none of them measure up to the Diago, and at such a reasonable price too. I have been using my power station for 2 years now and never had a problem with it. Although it's inconvenient that it can't power my Digitech Whammy with it (which requires it's own seperate 9v AC adapter)*, for half the price of it's rivals, you cannot beat the Diago for ease of use, reliability and noiseless operation. Thoroughly recommended.
* I've recently spoken to James at Diago about powering the Digitech Whammy, him telling me that they will soon try to develop an adpater for the power station for it.

No switches, no movable parts, just plug and play. Simples. Has a bright green LED to let you it's on. The adapters for rarer pedals simply clip into the daisy chain. There are very few pedals that can't be used with this successfully.

I was previously powering my odd assortment of pedals through a wall wart and breaking a daisy chain off my BOSS TU2. This was a rather noisy affair especially with gain/distortion pedals. I did a bit of digging and after seeing something similar in the US stumbled on to Diago.
It immediately fixed all the earth hum hiss I was suffering from. Used with decent patch cables it's practically silent (my Big Muff is dead silent when palm muted now).
I have a hand full of Boss pedals, Big Muff, Akai Headrush, Digitech Bass synth all running off this tiny little box and I plan to add more in time.

I have had my Diago Powerstation for over a year now and it's never left my pedal board. It's neat, it is smaller than the average fag packet and sits snuggly at the back not interfering with other cabling. This is so much less hassle and a complete joy to do away with lugging aroung a 4 gang and multiple wall warts! From what I have read of others reviews before purchasing mine, I don't expect anything to go wrong with it but would buy another in a flash if anything was to happen to it.
The only thing to keep in mind is to cover any spare plugs on the daisy chain. If they catch on something metal it will short the unit and you'll just get a clicking noise and a flashing LED till you figure it out. Just an excuse to buy more pedals really.

My order came fast and was supplied with the right adapters to get my EH and 9V battery pedals going. I've never had any qualms and have literally been able to forget about my power and hum issues thanks to Diago. Their website has loads of detailed information including a list of all the compatible pedals and their required adapters. I feel comfortable in that if I were to have any issues it would be easy to contact Diago and get support. This is made clear by their excellent website.

I am really happy with my Diago Powerstation, I don't have to think about POWER anymore and feel quite comfortable adding more pedals to my setup.
It's attractive in that it is minute, it takes up such little space you'd wonder why you'd want a DC brick let alone a ton of chunky transformers. Oh, and no more batteries too!
My only qualm perhaps was with the price. At the time of purchasing it seemed quite expensive but given that I don't expect it to die on me anytime soon and as Diago is a essentially a cottage industry I am more than happy to have paid 70 odd quid for my unit plus adapters. I can't stress what a good investment this little box is.
It was also much more satisfying buying direct from Diago (great service) than paying through the nose at a guitar store (poor sneering service) for a cheaply made often more expensive alternative.

Well, a total no brainer really.....in at the mains, then connect the daisy chain to your pedals. Easy! I use a large flightcased board mostly, which includes the VL's PP2, but I needed a much smaller 'board for fly dates and smaller gigs, so much research ensued, and after not much deliberation, I thought that the Pedalpower was perfect for my needs. It's very light and does the job as needed. Perfect.

Well, it's not detracting with any hum, so that's all I need to worry about. It provides the right current to my pedals so they're getting the correct supply....no noticable sound difference. hopefully this will continue throughout my time swapping pedals in and out for different sessions.

Very simple, plug in to the wall, plug your daisy chain in, hook it all up and you're good to go. Couldn't really be any simpler than that, doesn't need instructions!!! I used to use batteries, and some of my Digitech pedals used to EAT batteries, not no more!

I've still got batteries in my pedals, just incase, and cause I cant be bothered to remove the old ones, but yeah i'd gladly depend on it. Although I am a little wary, but I always am, I wouldn't wanna stand on it. It's more likely that the pedal would stop working I think than the power supply.

Overall, I can't really think of a better power supply for my needs. I wouldn't trust a small power supply like a OneSpot, just cause they look too fragile and perhaps wouldn't pump out enough power. But I can count on my powerstation. It's nice and neat and small, I got it for a good price and it seems there are loads of other great, quality accessories for all your pedals aswell. So I may need one for a Big Muff I'm eyeing, and Diago is who I will go to. I could probably break it if I tried, I wouldn't say it's bomb proof like a Boss pedal, but it would stand up to any normal punishment going it's way. I suppose that's why it's small though, to keep out the way!

As its only a PSU, its nothing to get too excited about however this is exactly what i have been looking for to power my pedals instead of using batteries.
Was considering buying the voodoo labs pedal power plus which was much more expensive, however i'm glad i went for the cheaper (diago) option. As far as i can tell i would not have gained anything more by spending ??160+ on a more expensive PSU.
Overall i'm extremely happy with my purchase - it does exactly what i need it to do. So good in fact that i don't even notice its there, which is what you want from a PSU.

This a digital switching power supply. It will provide 3000ma of power to any amount of 9v DC pedals.
It is a no brainer - works the same as any single ended power supply, with a daisy chain cable going to 5 Boss style plugs.
I like the fact that this has 240v cable which is detachable from the transformer unit. This makes packing it up easier. It will accept pretty much any worldwide voltage and change it to 9v DC.
It claims to be silent in operation, which I have found to be true (exceptions noted below).
Sound Quality
:

I power 4 home built Tonepad pedals - a TS9/808, a Ross compressor, a Boss CE-2 chorus, and an MXR phase 90 pedal.
Each of these pedals is either a gain pedal or a modulation pedal. If there were any added noise by the power supply, I'd hear it using one of these. I also run my guitar through a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic on its own power supply (16DC), which would again accentuate any hum or added noise in the other pedals.
I'd like to say now that I don't get any unwanted noise from the Diago Powerstation - at all.
The exception is when I try to run a Line 6 Echo park on a 9volt chain with other pedals. There is a ton of noise which makes the pedal unusable. This is a design fault of the Echo park which requires it to run on its own isolated power supply. This is not the fault of the Powerstation. If you run a few of these 9v Line6 pedals, you'd need either an expensive isolated power supply like the Voodoo labs pedal power 2, with several outputs, or you'd have loads of individual 'wall warts' - I'd say that this is a design oversight by Line6 I'm afraid. Diago do state on their website that these pedals will do this.
I will stress again though that this adds no noise to any properly designed pedal.
Reliability
:

There are no moving parts, I don't expect this to blow up any time soon. It is certainly more reliable than having loads of individual power supplies, and definitely better designed than a standard 'wall wart' type power supply.

Sound Quality

Here's the rub.
If you use a lot of pedals, including for gain, and run your amp clean, no problem, it's very quiet.
If like me you use a high gain amp, and use pedals just for colour, beware. Pedals in front of the amp can lead to a very annoying hum, which gets worse with volume and gain.
I couldn't bear it after a while.
Shame, but if batteries are silent, you want a power supply that does the same.

As a power supply this is very easy to use. Just plug in and go! It's not too big so it fits nicely on the corner of my pedalboard. Just attach your daisy chains (it can power more than 20 pedals!!!) and the appropriate converters for those pesky pedals which don't use the standard boss negative tip power adapters, which can too be bought from Diago for a reasonable price and get down to making sweet pedal fuelled music, without any worry of your batteries running out ever again. If you plan to travel, just contact Diago and buy an appropriate power adaptor, it can be used anywhere in the world! I power 9 pedals (some quite power demanding) and I have had no troubles with it at all. At 3000ma neither should you!
Sound Quality
:

Absolutely fantastic. No hum, no annoying noise, just 100% pure clean power. No issues with old or new pedals alike. This happily powers my entire pedalboard and retains my pure, clean signal without degrading it as some cheaper wallwarts may.
Reliability
:
8
From experience, it is very reliable. My only concern, that fundamentally as a daisy chain, the power outlets are not isolated, which could mean that ALL your pedals could lose power, not just one or two in comparison with a brick style power supply malfunctioning, such as the Gator G-Bus. Even so I have no worries about this power supply and I have total confidence in it. I'm sure my pedals would break long before this thing stopped pumping out juice.

Overall I would say this is a fantastic powersupply that will suit the needs of the minimalistic through to virtuoso gearheads, sporting a stupid number of pedals. Say goodbye to batteries forever! It's simple, clean, reliable and perhaps most importantly it's comparitively cheap. It doesn't hog space on your pedalboard or break your back with a stupid weight, it's small effective and seems to be fast becoming the number one choice of power for players in the UK.

What is there to say - it's a power supply. You plug it into your effects, and they work. It can manage a lot of effects with multiple daisy chains, and deliver a substantial amount of current.
It can handle most variations of power socket, and polarities, that different manufacturers of effects come up with, although you may have to purchase extra bits to do this. And it's quite small.
Sound Quality
:

Here lies the problem. I suspect that most customers use a clean amp, and get the bulk of their sound, drive etc, from pedals.
I use a 2 channel amp, get my drive from that, and colour it with the pedals. For clean and crunch sounds, no problem. But for high gain sounds, there is a hum. Again, not a problem for effects in the loop, but can be a bit noisy if you put a pedal or two in front of the amp, and try and do both and it howls. Presumably some sort of ground loop.
So for pedalheads, go for it. For those who love the gain only a valve amp can give, just bear this in mind.
I have a pal who uses a Marshall DSL and he loves his powerstation, but he only uses the clean channel.

This is the good bit. Contacted the designer, who after a chat did his best to solve the problem (although it did take 2 months), culminating in me receiving a prototype for a new design.
Still didn't solve the problem, so I now use both old and new, one for in-front FX and one for loop.
A hassle (2 plugs), but cheaper than blowing ??140+ on a Voodoo Labs or a BBE.

Been playing for over 25 years, pop, rock, blues, metal, country - whatever.
Recently moved from modellers to a valve amp, and the difference in tone is unbelievable. So trying to keep effects to a minimum, but thought a power supply would be less bother than batteries. But batteries are silent, and that's what you want from a power supply. Got this on recommendation, but hasn't lived up to expectations. Now got a workable solution, but still a compromise. This is probably better than you average daisy chain wall wart, but for my purposes still not exactly what I want.
Will keep for now, and see what happens.

I have been playing for more than 10 years, and using effects for at least 5, I previously used a DC Power Brick and that kept tripping out and letting me down. I would replace this immediately if lost or stolen. Its small size is great and it is an unobtrusive addition to any pedal board. There is nothing else in this price band to compete with this power supply.

I have dealt with Diago for a few things (not related to the powerstation however) and they have been nothing but helpful - James has always been (mostly) swift with his responses, and it is obvious that the company cares about providing quality products.

For the price, I don't think that this can be beaten. There isn't much to evaluate due to the nature of the product, but it throws out an obscene amount of power, takes up virtually no space on my pedalboard and just keeps on going. I have tried other power supplies which look similar, only to find they are significantly noisier - I am very happy with my Diago powerstation, and I would definitely buy a new one if it were stolen.

You don't really get much easier than this. You connect the daisy chain to the pedals and powerstation, the mains cable and turn it on!
I also bought the adaptor for my EHX small clone which was top notch.
Its small and takes up very little room plus the detachable mains cable is better than having a wall wart.

No hum and i powered 10 pedals with it until i slimmed my board down. All various makes. It does power my Echopark but can end up with clocking sometimes but his is a known problem and Diago state that it will not work on the website.

Its a great peice of kit plus all the adaptors are available. I'm very much of the 'buy it right first time' camp even if it does cost a bit more.
There are cheaper alternatives out there but i will always recommend the DIago.

Just plug in and go. Its small size means it takes up very little room on your pedal board, and the various adaptors available make it especially easy to use with pedals requiring different voltages etc. I can therefore run my Full-tone MOSFET Drive 2 on 18 volts without having to use a separate power supply, which is a real bonus. Although so far I've had no cause to use it outside of the UK, it's very useful to know that you can plug it into any mains voltage.

I use this with a relatively simple set up (5 pedals including tuner) and have experienced no discernable noise or interference.

I've had this power unit going for a year now and have used it for umpteen gigs. It's been 100% reliable so far. At one point I was inadvertantly shorting it out, in which circumstances it just cuts out and comes back on when the problem is gone without any damage to the unit.

I'm relatively new to using multiples of effects. I find that in a chain straight from guitar, through the effects and into input of the amp then i had a slight buzz when i turned on the CE-20 chorus pedal. However, i have now put most of the effects through the effects loop and the buzz has gone.

Most of the time i play a Les Paul Classic with a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifer through a 1960 Marshall 4x12. The effects i use are, Morley Wah, MXR phase 90, Boss TR-2 Tremelo, Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi, Boss DD-20 Giga Delay and Boss CE-20 Chorus Ensemble.
The combination of these effects caused a buzz wehn in a direct line to the main input of the amp, and through trial and error it pin pointed the problem with the chorus and big muff pedals. I now have the chorus, delay & tremelo through the effects loop, and the rest into the main input on the amp. I'm not sure if this is a standard procedure, but it seams to have done the trick regarding the buzz.
All in all the Diago Powerstation has reduced the amount of space required and the cost of batteries which can mount up very quickly. So all in it has to be great value for money and i am very pleased with the purchase which i have now had for 18 months.

I have this powereing a Boss Tu-2, Boss LmB-3, Boss GEB-7, Boss Hm-2, Dunlop Bass Crybaby wah and a Samson Ap1B wireless reciever. I have used a red adaptor for the Samson AP1B as it has reverse polarity. All these pedals work fine with the powersation and i get no hum what so ever. I have read other reviews saying the same thing and it's true.

I have only given this a 9 for the simple fact that i have only had it for a few days but i cannot see this letting me down. It's well built. I play non-stop with this on and it has always provided the power and it doesn't even get that hot after hours of constant use.

I have been e-mailing James with lots of question before i bought the powerstation, mainly about compatibility issuses and everytime, i got and answer back within the next day. I wanted to know which adaptors i would need to use for the Samson AP1B and i got an answer straight back the next day. He has been extremley helpful and i'm sure if ever i need to contact him again, i won't need to worry.

Before this, i was using a Boss ACA adaptor which went into my Boss TU-2 and then a daisy chain. This boss daisy chain was too short which meant i could only power 5 effects. It was also limited to 200ma. This Powerstation now is excellent. The Deluxe daisy chain is perfect and is not too short. It can also power up to 3000ma which is great. I think this is well worth the money and if it was lost or stolen, i would definately buy a new one without hesitation.

Couldn't be simpler. Plug in the supplied daisy chain cable, connect your pedals, plug in the supplied vey long mains lead and you're good to go. Given the 3A output capacity of the Powerstation it is remarkably small and takes up very little room on a pedalboard.

I'd looked at a number of different power supplies before deciding on the Powerstation and it seemed to have the edge over more than a few of the others available. I'm very happy with the choice I made and would definitely get another if mine were lost, stolen or needed replacing for any other reason.

The only thing you have to consider is the power needs of your pedals - a comprehensive list of manufacturers / pedals on the website lets you check if any of your pedals needs one of the special connectors. for example the Line6 DL-4 has slightly special needs, so you'd need the connector that handles that. The number of pedals that can't be handled is very small, typically its the high voltage e.g. 24v types

Have owned for over a year, in daily use in a static set-up; if you had a pedal board then that would also count as a static set-up. In short, its as reliable as a laptop power supply. Either works for ever or blows up the first time you plug it in.

This is the device i have been looking for since i have started using various pedals. It is COMPLETELY silent in operation, no humming through the amo like i did with my previous 9v adaptor. This device can also connect up to 30 pedals (in a daisy chain) i think, so basically as many pedals as you could ever want to use.
Before this pedal i was considering splashing out hundreds on one of those voodoo powerstations things. They are alot more expensive and can only connect about 5 or 6 pedals.
I urge you to buy this device without any hesitation! (it costs about ??55)
...and just for the record i'm using a Marshall TSL60 with 1960A cab and a gibson les paul electric guitar
I usually play high gain sounds although this power supply is also completely silent going through the clean channel

There is no manual for this, as it's not required. Connect all your pedals to it - using conversion cables where necessary (their website provides more than adequate information on what you need but support will help if you need it - see later) - plug it into the mains and off you go.

Here's where Diago really sets itself apart from the rest. Support is first rate. I had a few queries about compatibility / connectors / etc before buying. As you might expect response was good - potential buyer. However, having made the purchase I have had a few other queries (some only indirectly related to the power supply) and support has been fast, courteous, accurate and above the call of duty!
