This pedal out of the box without reading the whole manual is by far the best pedal board I've purchased. Navigating around, such as bank and patch switching is easy. I especially like the feature that allows you to go from preset to preset and still keeping the basic sound level, very nice. The expression pedal is sturdy as are the buttons and outer shell, all metal. You need to stomp pretty heavily on the foot pedal to activate the WAH, but I like that, no accidents.

The previous person did not rate this, however I feel you can rate this, because of the expression pedal. Is the expression pedal realisic in the WAH emulations and are there pops when swicthing presets? Yes and No !! Great work digitech! I love the WAH Clyde sound. Also the "throw" on the pedal gives a realistic WAH sound.

Just got it..........but I did buy it as a "scratch and dent", saved 70 bucks throught Musicians Friend. I'm giving it a 10 so far....oh yeah, NO scratches or dents on this baby!! Looked new.

Have not tried yet. But I will have a few questions. I want to utilize the MIDI for switching my Marshall JVM channels using the control button.....hmmmmmmmmmm

This thing is basically plug and play. You can use it either 5 patch mode or 10 patch mode. In 10 patch mode, you can select from 10 pathes in each bank and have the fully assignable expression pedal. In 5 patch mode, you can select from 5 patches in each bank which are controlled by buttons 1-5 and once a patch is selected, you can then toggle on and off various effects in that patch using buttons 6-10. The mechanism between switching between these two modes is located within the GSP1101 menus. It also has a tap tempo switch and a tuner switch.

I guess it makes you live sound better because it makes things much easier on stage, but I really don't want to put a rating in this category.

Very solidly built. Will last a very long time. I've had the Control X for my Genesis 3 for 3 years now and it still works great.

Overall this is a great foot controller. It sucks that is has a proprietary connection but I guess that's the price you pay for getting power directly from your processor thus eliminating the need for a wall wart on stage. I also don't like the way that they placed the cat5 jack on the unit and on the GSP, with the unlock clip DOWN?? it makes removing the jack a bit of a chore sometimes.
