It is a hard thing to get used to as you cant get repeats to work if the repeats dial is on full and the manual isn't that great either

It does sound good although the reverse setting does tend to play it forwards sometimes so actual quality is good but it is let down by poor quality of dials.

Absolute useless! Do not buy this if you want a pedal that works. addmittedly the casing is like a tank but the electrics are bad quality, I bought mine last week and it has already died after maybe 3 uses, and only practice uses at that!

Not having to as am sending it to the retailer, although there is one place in the whole of the UK that is allowed to repair them which happens to be a bloody long way away from me.

I would not recommend any digitech pedals after this one, I am probably going to have to fork out for a boss now as this one is low budget shitness.

4 knobs clearly marked as to their function.
The manual explains what the knobs do and how to use features like tap tempo. It is up to the user to create usable sounds.
For $99 it's up there in capabilities with the DD5, DD6 and the Echo Park. It's head and shoulders above the DD3.
The loop function could be better but the better way to loop sound is to play a riff then dime the repeat knob. Same thing but you get a longer loop.

It is a quiet pedal. The delay sound is good. The stereo feature allows me to get ping pong sounds.

Digi Tech is good at responding to emails. Unlike firms like MXR and Ampeg who take a few days to reply.
6 year warranty is comforting.

At first it seemed complecated because its got loads of features and stuff, but u get familiar with it very quickly. The manual is kinda helpful but only gives u a breif instuction, they could of gone into a little more depth.

I use a 1950's Fender Strat (mexican) My amp is the Marshall tsl 122 (combo) and the tslc212 extention cab. I also use the Boss DS-1, Boss TU-2, MXR ten band EQ, JDunlop Crybaby, Digitech Whammy and MXR phase 90. The pedal is very quiet, but when you turn the tap tempo function on there is a high pitched fuzz which is a bit of a let down. but forget all that... the pedal is amazing!!! everyone says 'get the boss dd3' or whatever its called, its shit comppared to this bad boy I've used both and the digidelay soooooo much better by far. It has up to 4 seconds of delay, tap tempo, reverse, loop function, mod delay, tape delay etc... Its crazy what u can do with this. me and my m8 were messing around with it the other day, I had the loop funtion on, recorded a riff, unpluged my axe and pluged in my bass and recored a funky bassline ontop my m8 plugged in his microphone and did a hip hop beat box over that it sounded CRAZY!!!!!!! yeh this pedal is lots of fun and does loadsa things and is incredible!!! My favourite guitarist is Tom Morello from Rage/Audio Slave hes amazing if u know who I'm talkin about then with this pedal u can get loadsa toms sorta sounds out of it.(hes uses a DOD delay but its sounds kinda similar). i what the last reviewer means when he sed it sounded 'canned' but personally i like that digitised sound. I'm gonna give it a 8. but an 8 is good.

My favourite band is rage against the machine / Audio slave and they are a big influence on my band (the funky riffs and the interesting sounds tom morello makes out of his guitar) A delay pedal is essentual for any type of music u play. for the money its a brilliant buy, i got it for 90 quid and that a bargin for what this pedal can do. This is the pedal for u. Get it!!!!!!!

Mediocre sounding digital delay. It has more options and modes though than any of the other compact floor pedals. It's a trade off in a sense because the sound quality, although workable, is nothing to write home about. The repeats are a little sterile and the overall sound is a little "canned". Doesn't complete with rack units like it claims, and there are much better digital floor unit delays out there (Guyatone MD-3). The summary is that it will get the job done on a gig, and it gives you a lot of options but if you're picky about your delay sounds look elsewhere.

I play everything from jazz to rock, funk and blues. I play on recording session of all kinds, on my own projects and live. I'm a professional musician in Los Angeles. I've been playing for about 15 years and have owned and played MANY effects - I'm very picky about sounds :)

This is one of the coolest delay pedals out there. Put on the 4 second delay maxed and your sync'ed to 120bpm.
Turn the decay to about 3/4 way and your delay will slowly fade away with beautiful warm detail.
But, play a riff and turn the decay all the way up and- you capture your riff in a loop. You can play over it then back off the decay and start over. This is the best feature on this pedal.
The modulation delay is the only setting that allows you to turn the time knob in real time to create swirls of sound. Very smooth. All other settings have a steplike glitch sound when turning this knob.
Because of my fasination with its knobs I put the pedal on a stool or something so I can do the loop thing in real time.
Anyway, all my other delay pedals can't do that. I have the Boss Loop Station, it needs to be played on the floor. My Line6 delay/looper has many great points but it's not good at making pretty swirls of sound like the Digidelay.
This pedal is really different. Two ways of creating loops, the mod decay is beautiful. Four seconds of memory. That is the most time of any pedal in it's price range.
It's not good at tap tempo or looptapping. Action's to hard. that's OK 'cause I elivate anyway. It's a hand operated effect for me. Sort of like Bill Frisell or Nels Cline. Those are the guys that are showing me how to manipulate delays with their hands while playing.
It's amazing.

I wouldn't waste our time trashing gear. I'm saying that this is a great sounding delay with some way cool features as in capturing sounds and creating polyphonic loops that morph into other polyphonic loops as you will it.
I don't use it for regular delay only for sound scapes.

Even with the light going out, this pedal is important to what I've been doing with loops or should I say, the pedal led me to my loops.
I'll sell this one for fifty bucks and buy a new one.
It stays!

Its pretty self explanatory. Level knob, how many time it repeats, and how long it repeats. and then the type of delay selector. The looping function is a joke. you cant do crap with 4 seconds. Im about to buy a Boss RC-20XL and thats a nice looping station.

Man this thing sounds aweosme. You can play so soft and then play harder and it changes with your dynamics. I use it with my bass-Musicman stingray- and i love it. It even has a delay with a chorus effect on it.

I play solo bass stuff and this is a nice pedal to have for the slower or softer songs. Its very reliable, sounds great, and isnt all that expensive. but dont buy it for the looping function, because its a waste. I wish Digitech substitued something else for the looping thing. thats why it gets a 9.
