Well it is a bit difficult to use I must admit but after reading the manual and messing about with the sounds I got there, you must be patient!
Actually I have the limited edition one and it was fitted with duals s-discs ppc-210 it has an upgrade to software 3.00.

I use a 50/50 Mesa Boogie power amp, 2X12" Laney cab and play with a JS chromeboy and a Gibson Les Paul.

After spending many hours and days messing around with tweaking it really did pay off. To begin with I was dissapointed with the sound it didn't sound right it was after some time I realized that it was performing in mono so I switched over to stereo and wow oh wow!
This thing is awesome I have created some sounds I have only ever dreamed of, I was using a rocktron prophesy before but it always sounded muddy when I cranked it!
But this 2101 comes up with the goods believe me I did try it with the grundge setting to begin with but then I decided to work with the valves only so I went onto saturated valves and there you can decide how much overdrive each valve gets. You can get any sounds you want out of this the clean sounds are just gorgeous and when you add chorus or echo it's heaven! I was advised from my friend Danny Danzi to get this and it is the best advice I ever took as regards equipment www.DannyDanzi.com Danny uses this model as well!
I have programmed all sorts of settings with this including Satriani, Vai, Judas Priest, Andy Timmons and Van Halens eruption!
If you don't have one then get one you will not regret it! I was also told by a technician at Digitech that all there programmers are guitar players too, so they all know what they are after, unlike some other companies where all the sounds are put in by unmusical guys!

I play basically rock but also general music and this unit does it all some of the sounds on this are almost like a synthesizer nearly eventide like. I have played 30 years and this is definately the unit for me I am so impressed!
If I got it stolen I would considere suicide !

This unit was made specifically for Guitar Center. It is identical to the Limited Edition except for the Chrome face plate and silk screen that says Artist Pro. It has Dual SDISC and the memory upgrade standard.
The manual is indespensible. To get where you want to go and to take advantage of all it can do , you must read it closely.

I can achieve all of the exact sounds of bands that I have to cover or record at the touch of the controller. Go from Metalitone to twang to grunge to Via to super clean chorus. Its endless. Just pick tube or solid state (3 choices each)then set the (clean/crunch)gain stages, add effect algorythems anywhere in the chain(over 40 effects), tweek them, set the analog EQ or even add 10 differnt type EQ's if you want and save the patch. And if that's not enough there is a global master EQ,cab sims, stereo XLR outs, balanced 1/4" TRS outs and headphone out. It also has effects loops and Midi in/out/thru. 100 of your presets, 124 of the factory.
I use a Marshall Dual Mono Block (50w/50w stereo tube) w/ 1960a cabs.
Very clean setup. No Bob Bradshaw needed here. :-) As for guitars all stock Ibanez RG570,Dean Cadillac III, USA H.M. Strat. I give it a 8 becouse there are amps I have not tried like Custom Audio Electronics and Koch etc.
Here are PC programs for the 2101 thanks to Martin Eckar.

I can also use this as a amazing effects processor for live or recording. I will not part with this unit. For the money you can't beat it's value. I recommend the best 12AX7 tubes you can buy for grate tone. I didn't like Groove tubes in it. RCA or JAN types sound great.
