Ease of Use

Presets are OK. Where this pedal really shines in when hooked up to a computer using the X-Edit system. You can very easily dial in and save your patches using the software and a USB cable.
I give the pedal a 7 by iteslf for ease of use but a 10 with X-Edit.
The nice thing is that for a gig you can have all your presets set up and just cycle through them - assuming you know the set list ahead of time, just use X-Edit and set it up.
Sound Quality

Using with an 85 MIJ Strat and an Epi LP custom. Used it with several amps and a PA system. Overall, I am very impressed with the sounds quality. I have generally looked down on modeling, but this pedal might change my mind.
When setting up your patches, have the pedal hooked up to the amp you will be using, as you tweak the sound using X-Edit. I have found that if I set up patches with headphones, and then plug into an amp, the sound was a bit thin, and I needed to boost the bass. An amp with a good across the board frequency response and clean sound or a PA system is ideal for use with this pedal.
The Lexicon reverb sounds awesome, and so far the amp models seem pretty darn accurate. Dialing in the SRV sound is doable by selecting the Bassman model and a TS-9, witha bit of room reverb. Sweet! Also, the noise gate does a splendid job with the single coil hum. the amp is dead silent until I satrt to play, and the effect on tone is minimal. It may clip the end of very long bended notes that are fading, but careful gate settings make this minimal - or turn off the gate. I leave it on, and really don't notice any negative effect.
The delay is nice, and the harmony seems to work well. If you want to wha-wah and whammy, you need to hook up an expressions pedal. I have a Cry-Baby, so no need for me.
I can't imagine that there are many sounds this pedal won't replicate.

Not as durable as a stompbox, from just looking at it. Although it feels sturdy in the hand. I would gig with it - carefully.
Until I use it for a while, I won't judge.

The online stuff is great. You can download firmwar upgrades and the X-Edit software. Also, people exchange patches online, but I have yet to do that.

Overall, it's money well spent. The range of tonal possibilities is amazing, as is the amount of effects and tweakability of the effects/models.
I was going to buy the DeltaLab DGFX1, but after playing both, the digitech won out. The effects are better, and the unit is quieter. If it was stolen, I would get another one, but maybe one with the pedal, just so I had another music toy to play around with.
