Ease of Use : 10
This is a grat item,I have owned it for 17 years it is so easy to use and sounds good I love that it has full bandwith I use it still in my studio rack

Sound Quality : 9
I have used this on guitar, and vocals haveing the db switch in back is great. It is pretty quiet too. Some times I add a preamp in front if I am using a low signal.I have used this with all kinds of amps and situations,In mixdown this has really been greatEven after all these years It is still a important part of my studio gear

Reliability : 10
The 7.6 is like all the RDS FX's they keep working, just keep it clean and dont do anything stupid to it,Mine has worked for all this time.I have never needed a back up on a gig

Customer Support : 10
My RDS 360 broke down once in 1987 (my fault) and they fixed it.I dont think they even charged me except the shipping I really love the 360 readout I wish the Time Machine had that option. I think they would still try to fix your RDS now if you asked them

Overall Rating : 10
I am a blues rocker I have been playing since 1968.If this item was stolen I would most difently get another one I love the full bandwith looping time. I only wish it had the digital readout.I do not care that you cant program it,You can turn the knob in 1/2 second Thats faster than my midi reverbs can change programs.I call the 7.6 and the 360 my left hand man on guitar It is like having another person working with you My Pal

I bought this at a pawn shop figuring it would be fun, and my hunch paid off. I don't have a manual for it, but found it to be easy and intuitive to use. The delay and modulation effects are musical and powerful.

Sound Quality : 9
My rig changes from gig to gig, but I would run this with a guitar of some kind, and an amp of some kind, usually with a gain boost of some kind and a few other effects. Noise is not a problem. I can't find a bad sound in this unit. I use Fender, Mesa, Gibson, Supro, Vox and Ampeg amps. The trick with this unit is to realize that it has a life of its own and to let it do its thing. The modualtor can be used on long delay settings to randomize a long phrase, which then can be stored in memory and summoned back whenever you need it. For Robert Fripp-type manipulations this is key. I like that the delays get so long that they pop up out of musical context. I mean, who can use 7.6 seconds with precision? The echo comes back so far after the note was played that it is beyond the capacity to use within meter, so it adds a puckish element. For simple delay I'd give it an 8. For creativity, a 10. I'll average the two...

Reliability : 10
Never broken down, probably won't. I only have one and I take it with me. If it does break I will seek out another.

I've played 35 years. I think that it's in the fingers and heart first and foremost, and that gear should just help express the intent. This is not a box for everyone, but it helps me keep it loose and signals the musicians I'm with that we are all just this side of the gates of magic. Inspiration in a box. What more can you ask? Oh, I only use it for experimental music or jamband stuff, not jazz gigs or anything tightly scripted.

Easy. you can download the manual from www.digitech.com, under discontinued products, if you don't have it. Follow the examples they have and then experiment - incredibly versatile machine. There's a few nobs to twiddle which gives you lots of sonic options

Sound Quality : 9
Get a little bit of noise, it's not dead quiet, but who cares - this thing sound awesome. I hate digital usually. This sounds warm and full of character. Seems like early Digitech is terrific and later is terrible. I just got it so have only had one evening to mess around with it. Sounds wonderful on both electric violin and acoustic guitar. Didn't get the Tele out yet. I used it with a Bruno Underground 30 tube amp. You can get unique flange, chorus, echos, all the way to whacky and flipped out sounds. I didn't find a sound I didn't like on it yet. I took off one point for the slight added noise, but once you're playing with it you don't notice it at all [and I'm pretty picky]

Reliability : 7
Well it's pretty old I think and looks well used but seems to work just fine, so I'd say it's reliable. Stab in the dark - I'll give it a 7

Customer Support : 7
no clue. though I've emailed Digitech with questions about older products and they've been very responsive so I'll give 'em a 7

Overall Rating : 9
overall I'd give it a 9. I've been buying a fair bit of gear lately and most of it is top quality analog effects. They sound great. But this thing got more wows out of me than most anything I've bought recently. Also just got an original Whammy which is also a great piece of gear. I think the Time Machine is even warmer sounding, very unusual and a real winner.

Unabelievable sound character to this unit. Just incredible. Its one unit that makes me feel like I really scored for this price!!

Reliability : 10
built like tank--digitech is pretty tough--not plastic--no glitches

Customer Support : 10
they are very helpful with me everytime I have called them. I own several Digitech units and have called them about 4 times over the years. nice people.

Overall Rating : 9
this "time machine" is a digital delay / sampler with up to 7.6 seconds of sampling--wow--for the price I paid it was a steal. I love using it as my secret weapon (heheheh) ....this baby is the king of all digitech rack delay/samplers. These are very hard to find, but very nice to own. I would buy another in a second.
