The effect has four knobs and it is pretty simple to get exactly the Chorus effect you want. The Manual is simple to understand but you won't need it.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm running a Fender MIA Jazz Bass > Digitech X-Series Bass Synth Wah > Digitech Bass Multi Voice Chorus > Marshall B65 Amp. I never heard noise from it. The Effect I get from it is very good.

Reliability : 10
I would absolutely depend on it, it is built like a tank. Would gig without backup. But at least mine is a battery drainer, but I'm always using a DC Adapter.

Never dealt with Digitech

I play Rock and Funk. The Chorus is very nice to use in ballads. have been plaaying for 4 years now, I own the mentioned equipment plus a p-bass copy fretless. I would definitely buy this effect again. I love the feature that you can have a stereo chorus with up to 16 voices. I simply love it. Especially for the price I paid.

Controls are level, speed, depth, and voices. It was very simple to get good tones out of this little box. It's a chorus, and pretty much all of them sound alike/do the same thing. The suggestions that come with this thing are killer, especially with no previous guitar effect experience...

Sound Quality : 8
I'm using an Affinity strat going into a Behringer 212 combo. The combo already has 99 effects on it, so the chorus was a little overkill. But, I had the effect before this amp, so whatever. When I plugged in, I noticed a definite loss of high end. I guess some people might say it warmed things up, but I doubt it. It also buzzes a little, but thats with the level control turned all the way up. This is a powerful effect, and used by itself I can't help but be reminded of Metallica's clean sound on Nothing Else Matters. It also does the grunge/Nirvana thing very well, and now the intro to Smells Like Teen Spirit is right on the money. The voice knob is the best part of this thing, because depending on your band, you can thin or thicken the sound to whatever you deem necessary, and I found this extremely useful for my Christian Rock band.

Reliability : 10
This thing is built like a boss pedal, and is just as reliable.

This is a good effect, but its just not me. I traded it to my math teacher for a Danelectro Daddy-O, just because my amp lacks a little character and the overdrive on that pedal is awesome. The chorus wasn't terrible at all, just not my thing.

What can I say, there are four knobs.. Turn 'em and feel the difference!

Sound Quality : 9
I'm currently using this with a Boss DS-1, occasionally a DOD Tec4x or a Zoom (not mine, wouldn't buy one). When the DS-1 runs through it, the sound is awesome, especially, when the level is maxxed, the depth is on 25%, the voice knob it turned halfway and the speed also. The sound is at that time astonishing, both at home where I play through a Fender X15, and at practice, where I use a 55W Marshall.

Reliability : 8
Hasn't failed on me yet. When I first bought it, it used a battery up in a couple of minutes, then the switch wouldn't work. After downloading the instructions from digitechs website, I saw that when Boss promise 90 hours of battery life for the DS-1, This Multichorus has 4 hours at most. And no wonder, the sweet sounds it makes need a lot of processing power. So please, everyone, USE AN EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE! And don't complain it being crappy just because of the ridiculously short battery life! Blame the battery manufacturers instead.

Customer Support : 9
Goto www.digitech.com, and get everything you need. The FAQ's tell it all, and what they miss is already in the downloadable manual.

It's a good tool for me. I play rhythm guitar, but like to occasionally do some fooling around. I get the backuping rhythm sound, as well as a freaky spooky lead "thingy" I use with all the knobs pretty much turned to the southeast.

Wow, what mixed reviews of this! I loved it when I tried it, but I didn't get to compare it with the Boss chorus. I can live with it. Settings are easy enough to figure out, but the stereo effect is strange. Almost like one channel is just is a dry out... maybe I haven't figured it out yet. I don't use the amp modelling, but you can only get it once you turn it on. I don't like how far I have to depress the footswitch.

Sound Quality : 7
Acoustic through some effects into this and out in stereo. I don't play through an amp so I never noticed the microphonic-ness. The chorus is digital, so if you like that sound it's awesome, WAY thick and that Xknob makes it WAY lush. Looking through a spectrum analyzer it looks like it uses a tremolo effect for the chorusing instead of a chorus effect! Maybe that has to do with the settings. But anyway, I like it for what I do.

Reliability : 9
Tough pedal. Do NOT USE A BATTERY, and don't give it a lousy rating if you do. That's the nature of digital. It draws about 70-80mA. If you have to use a battery, get an analog pedal.

Great for the price I paid. I wouldn't pay full price for it. I guess I haven't used it enough to say more.

this pedal is just fine and self explanatory. Easy open battery compartment is a great idea and better than the screws on the Boss pedals. My dog could figure this one out.

Sound Quality : 8
Right now I'm using either an ESP LTD V-250 with EMG-HZ's or a fender Mexi Strat with Tex Mex pickups. This pedal does almost everything right. Users have mentioned the microphonics, I don't really mind this as it can be avoided if you step on it respectfully when you need it in the middle of your song. I mainly bought this pedal to get a doubling effect when I launch into solos with my ESP V, usually at high-gain settings. I can tell you that out of my distortion pedals (DS1 and TS9) this Chorus pedal is noisier than all of them under high gain settings, even with the pedal off and even with my basically silent EMGs. I plan to get a keeley true bypass looper to take care of that. Otherwise it's awesome.

Reliability : 10
I would absolutely depend on this pedal without a backup, it's built like a tank

never dealt with digitech customer service

Overall Rating : 9
Awesome pedal. I play a lot of blues, blues rock, worship/church music, hard rock and metal. I just bought this pedal to have a doubling effect ready and it does the job great. I've been playing for 7.5 years and I would definitely replace it if it were lost or stolen. The only gripe I have about this pedal is the noise under high gain settings. I compared this to the Boss Super Chorus and Chorus Ensemble Pedals and they didn't seem to be getting fantastic reviews like this one was. I like it just the way it is and I would recommend it to anyone who wants it for the same purpose I do, as a doubling effect.

This pedal is very easy to use. Works like most pedals. Just turn the knobs to get the sound you're looking for.

Sound Quality : 9
I really like the sound. Espesially the Voicing knob. It gets a good rotory speaker sound too.

Reliability : 3
I find it hard to rely on. The battery goes bad about every third gig on average. Goes bad sooner if left in the truck over night in the cold.

Customer Support : 9
Sent it back once for what a felt was a problem with battery life. They told me to use Eveready batteries instead of Duracel. This makes no sense to me as both have worked well for me in the past. They were quick on returning the unit.

Overall Rating : 10
I play Classic Rock N Blues. Playing for 35+ years I use a Les Paul and a custom built guitar with P-90s. I use a Carvin Belair 50w 212 w/matching 212 cab. The pedal gets a good Beatles sound as well a good rotory speaker sound almost like a Lesly. I imagine it would work better with a power supply since I feel they really have a problem with power consuption. I also use a Carvin Chorus and have no problems with batteries using it.

It's fairly simple. I'm still figuring out what knob combinations sound the best together. The instruction manual could have had a few example settings, but other than that it doesn't take much to get this up and running.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm very impressed with this pedal. It can go from a light, subtle chorus to a warm jazzy sound, to even thicker. It has a great sound when played with a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal too.

Reliability : 10
I just got it, but it seems very sturdy.

Knobs are self explanitory.

Sound Quality : 8
Because it is microphonic, there is a hum when not used, especially when being used with distortion. Boss pedals do not have this problem. But the Boss Chorus isn't half as thick as this chorus. When up all the way to 16 voices, this pedals creates awesomely warm, thick chorus for the lighter lines in metal.

Reliability : 9
So far I've been fine with the pedal. I have had other Digitech pedals before and never have had a problem, so I would assume the same for this.

Customer Support : 10
I've e-mailed the company several times with questions, and there have been nothing but immediate responses. Always informative, these people know what they are doing.

Overall Rating : 9
Going with my style of melodic metal, and alternative rock, this pedals thick chorus is nearly unbeatable. The price was a little high to start, and there are several cheaper choruses out there, but this one is really worth it.

Easy to use. Read the booklet for a description of the knobs.

Bought new for $80.00 at Guitar Center.

Sound Quality : 10
Great sound quality! The real key is the "voices" knob. it adds multiple voices which increases the wetness of the effect without having to increase the speed or depth. That is the coolest thing. On choruses I've used in the past, you have to add a lot of depth or a lot of speed to get a noticeable sound. This sometimes gives too much of an out-of-tune sound or a rotating-speaker sound.

With the voices knob, I get can dial in a shallower, slower sound, but increase the number of voices for a wetter effect.

Following is my signal chain. Of course not all of the effects are on all of the time, and I'm in the process of adding and replacing:
Parker P-38 -> Digitech Main Squeeze -> Boss SD-1 -> DanElectro Fab Tone -> Digitech Multichours -> Korg Ax1G for (volume/delay/wah) -> Ampeg J12-R tube amp.

I usually have the amp on 3 and mic'd and get no noise from the chorus pedal. It's great!

Reliability : 10
You should never use batteries with pedals. That's inviting trouble. Get a "One-Spot" (what I use) or something similar that can power multiple pedals off of one AC adaptor.

Pedal is great. Had the Compressor for 6 months with no problems and had the chorus for 3 weeks with no problems.

On Sunday mornings I play 1-1/2 hours practice then 6 sets. No hum or noise from rig during sermons.

I almost forgot, I should point out that the battery access is much smarter on these pedals than Boss. The Boss thumb-screw works itself loose every couple of weeks and then it's hard to engage/disengage the pedal. It's a pain to have to remember to keep tightening that thing. Digitechs don't have that problem.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never used.

Overall Rating : 10
I play CCM music on Sunday's at church. Sort of a range from slow pop to hard rock. I would buy another if this was stolen. The voice knob is what sets this pedal apart.

Start with the settings they show on the pedal demos on their EXCELLENT website, then tweak to your tastes.

Easy enough to use if you can turn a knob...
This pedal is for the most part a normal chorus.....easy to figure out.

Sound Quality : 5
I use a 77 Strat or 70 Les Paul into a moded 1979 Marshall 100w through a 1969 Marshall 4x12 cab (G12M-25)..My amps has a fair amount of gain so noisey always shows up...this pedal showed up pretty noisey when on. Like another person here mentioned my pedal was also microphonic, tapping on it could be heard right through the amp.
If you could possibly overlook the noise and microphonics..it didn't sound bad at all. A Bit COLD for my taste, but lots of nice chorus too. Note: into the "CLEAN" channel of a TSL it sounded great with little noise.

Reliability : 2
I only had it for 1 set, and out it went.....

Customer Support : 10
OK, when I took it back to the store I bought it from...the Digitech man happen to be there. He was very cool, and listened to what I had to say. We plugged it in and he noted what I was talking about..Then, we tried all the Digitech pedals that were in the Digitech pedal display, through a high gain amp THEY WERE ALL NOISY...AND ALL MICROPHONIC!!
We then A/B-ed it to a Boss Super Chorus (CH-1). Hands down the Boss was way more quiet and sounded great.
I traded in the Digitech, and walked out with the Boss...never to return to a Digitech X pedal again....the Digitech rep was left with a lot to consider.

Overall Rating : 1
I play in a Classic Heavy Rock band, we play loud and we like it that way. I have been playing for 30+ years now, Marshall amps, Les Pauls and Strats. If stolen, I'm sure the thief would return and throw it at me for fucking up his gig too...When compared to a simple (main-stay)Boss CH-1 this pedal totally sucked.
If Digitech can make it quieter, un-microphonic it, and warm it up a little it would be a decent chorus. It was real nice in a LOW-GAIN CLEAN CHANNEL....I think they have a bad batch of buffer amps in these as all the pedals did the same thing from chorus to distortion.
just a thought.....
