Fairly easy to use. The adjustable "wah" is a nice feature. I would like it better if the wire that holds your battery was soldered to the connection instead of just sitting there. If you accidentally pull this off, you may have to take apart the whole thing.

Sound Quality : 7
Sounds good on e, a, d, and g strings, but not very good on the b string on a five or six string. I assume it would still work great on strings higher than the g.

Reliability : No Opinion
Very reliable like all cry babys.

Haven't dealt with them.

Over all I like this pedal a lot. The automatic on/off switch is nice for saving batteries, but can be kind of a pain if you don't want it to turn off. But I would recommend this pedal. I think Jim Dunlap has designed this very well for the average jazz player. If you play a four string or don't want to shape your real low sounds this is a great pedal

Wah on bass is not for everything. This bass wah, I think, is the best one ever made. The controls are very straight-forward (volume, intensity). Keeps a good bass tone on the bass, doesn't cut it all out like some other wahs. Also, it doesn't have a switch like the guitar wah.. it turns on automatically when you step on it (which is easier, but some people would prefer a switch).

I can't remember if there was a manual, but I think there was... It was really generic, but it had some reccomendations for set-up.. and you don't really need it anyways.

Batteries are easily replaced by opening the small battery cover (unlike the 'take-off-the-plate' battery covers.

Sound Quality : 9
this is my current set-up (to be changed): Fender P-bass (american std) -> Boss Tu-2 -> Dunlop 105Q -> Boss PQ-3B -> EH Bassballs -> Ampeg SVT-II Pro head -speakon-connectors-> Ampeg PR-410HLF. It does not produce large quantities of noise, but some... it's not bad though.. if you set the 'Q' value too high, it'll cut out the bass.. if you set the volume too high, it'll have a big volume difference when you step on/off of it

I give it a 9, because it sounds good.. but if you have a bunch of monkeys set it up for you, it can be undesirable.

Reliability : 10
A big piece of hard metal. I can depend on it without a backup.

I think it doesn't sound as good when you have old batteries though.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea... but Dunlop seems like a company that stands behind their products.

Overall Rating : 9
I play a wide variety of loud music.. some soft music. It matches for only some stuff, but that's because it's a bass wah.. and bass effects aren't supposed to be used all of the time. You can get funky sounds out of it (which is usually good). I wish it had a position-lock, so I could put it in one position and lock it (because it just springs up).. but I don't really need it. I also wish that the DC power input wasn't so deep in the pedal.. .. I wish that it was true-bypass.. and I wish that it would make me sound better than flea.. but it doesn't.

Simple....step on step off...It's like a clapper for the foot!

Sound Quality : 10
WOW.

This is a KILLEr bass wah. It has a volume setting on the bottom which comes in very handy. There is also a Q setting which changes the tone...from a lot of highs to a lot of lows. Now I must admit that there a very few usable q settingas aside form 4-6, but when it's there it's sweet. I like the fact that you don't need to remove all the feeet and the whol,e bottom to put in a battery! I like the switchless, but am a little unhappy with the fact that there is a delay to turn off......I am just being picky though.

Reliability : 10
Oh yeah. It's a tank and a half

Don't know

This is the greeates bass wah I've used so far....I must admit I haven't used teh snarling dog bass wah so it may be better...but for me this is great....Plus the white casing looks COOL when stage lights reflect off of it.

It's a wah, you step on it with your foot or you can use your hands if you'd really want to(?). If you
can't get this to work, how the hell are you still alive? Oh yeah, don't forget about the power. I
recommend a power supply and that's what I use, so I really don't know about the batteries. Got to
get the "Q" right to sound good too.

Sound Quality : 10
Great wah I've ever heard, and my most favorite effect. My amp (epiphone studio 10) and
pickups (Jackson JS40 aren't the greatest, but it still sounds good. One thing I don't like about it is
when the bypasses. You can't hear it when your really playing, but when your just messing around
you kinda can. Even still, I would never replace it. I also play with a BOSS Bass Overdrive and I
like the sound that it make with distortion. it's really unique.

Reliability : No Opinion
It's big, metal and heavy- can't see it breaking anytime soon.

N/A

Overall Rating : 9
I play that slapping and popping style and the distorted heavy stuff, I say it's good for both. But the
you can't do it that many times like when your doing a metal riff. Good for that "funk" stuff.
Purchasing was a bitch. Everyone said its was like $99.99, but when I got there it was 130 bucks,
damn. Finally and Guitar Center I got it for 99.9, but only because they didn't price tag when they
upped the price. Also when I was there I tried that Morley Bass wah- It was terrible, my friend said
it sounded like a robot getting stabbed.

IT'S A WAH PEDAL!! Step on it for treble, rock the pedal back for bass. Bypass is automatic. If you can't figure it out, give up on playing bass.

Sound Quality : 8
Sounds good. I use it w/ an active samick 5 string and a fender bxr100. Sounds best w/ chorus, reverb. Distortion sounds bad as a wah-wah, but if you hold the pedal down, it adds alot of upper harmonic content to your sound.(who uses bass distortion anyway?) Just be sure to keep the Q varible on 5 or 6, or you'll get an overly-bassy tone when it switchs to bypass mode. Alot better then the old crybaby bass wah. As for noise, it doens't have much of a problem unless the battery is dieing.

Reliability : 10
Solid metal.

Never needed.

Overall Rating : 8
If you need a bass wah, go with either this one or the bass balls pedal by snarling dawgs. Put it in the front of your pedal setup. If it were stolen, I'd probly buy it again if i can find it cheaper.

Okay...press the pedal in and it's on...take your foot off...it's off. If you know how to work a wah, then you can work this. There's a Variable Q knob and a volume knob on the bottom. Very simple.

Sound Quality : 10
I had a straight Dunlop Bass Wah and this fixes all the problems with that wah. No click as you turn it on, simply apply presure and it comes on. Absolutely the best (bass) wah around. The volume knob let's you compensate for the loss of volume associated with wah, the variable Q allows you to tailor the amount of wah to your liking. I'm using this with a Ibanez SG-885 and an SWR Bass-350 running through a Ampeg 8x10 cab.
This wah always sounds great.

Reliability : 10
2 months, no problems. I'm pretty hard on my pedals, and I have no fears about this one going out. Solid steel construction.

Never dealt with Dunlop, never had to repair any of their gear.

Overall Rating : 10
Great unit, makes every musician I play with jealous. Great unit, nifty looking white case. I love it.
