to everyone who has complained about the buzzing sound of this unit:
BUY A SIMPLE LITTLE GROUND ADAPTER!!!

use some common sense. convert your 2 prong adapter to 3 prong. buzz is gone problem solved and everyone is happy.

Easy as it gets. I was expecting this thing to be much larger, heavier and bulkier. Its very cute and petit. Plug stuff in, it works.

Sound Quality : 10
I have a large chain of effects, and I had been using a Visual Sound 1-Spot. And the 1-spot is great, don't get me wrong, it is THE budget solution to powering multiple pedals. Its just that my cats have pretty much chewed through my current one, and I just happen to have one pedal that needs a ton of juice (Boss DD-20, which now gets the 1-spot until it dies), and two pedals which can run at 18V (Barber Small Fry, MXR Boost/Line Driver) and the DC brick caught my eye because it could power the rest of my pedals, and I could finally hear those two pedals at higher voltage. And the sound is outstanding. No extra noise, none of the weird **** or buzzing people have complained about.

Reliability : 10
I have a few Dunlop/MXR products, they're all super-solid. This seems to be too. It better be! I will be using with a backup, since I still have the 1-Spot. just in case. I won't go without my pedals!

Overall Rating : 10
Overall this little guy meets & exceeds my expectations. Power seems plentiful, its small and easy to use, and I love having the 18V capacity. I will have to find a 3rd high-voltage pedal just to make full use of the brick. I love it when gear can, all by itself, justify getting yet more gear. That's a winner in my book!

This a very good piece of equipment and very easy to use. Just find the proper connector and plug into a pedal and then the DC Brick and youy ready to go. It also has a mega-bright blue LED on the top so you definatley will know if your getting power

Sound Quality : 10
The power unit comes with power output for (7) 9 volt power and (3) for 18 volt power so all your power requirements are covered except for pedals with reverse polarity.

My chain is as follows Peterson SS tuner (9 volt)>Fulltone Full Drive 2 (18 volt)>Barber Tone Press (9 volt)>Roger Mayer Voodoo One (9 volt)>Roland RT 20 RotoSim (9 volt)>MXR Carbon Copy (9 volt)>Mid 70's fender Silver Face Twin Reverb.

No noticable noise or buzz with any of the pedals when using single coil pickups.

Reliability : 10
This is very well put together and very solid. This looks like it could last for a very long time.

Never had to deal with them

After reading most of the reviews and the problems some where having with the 18 volt section I was a little hesitant buying this. when it saw it online used I decided to try it out. I have been using a VS One Spot and though I had know problems I wanted something that could power 18 voly pedals. The only thing that the One Spot can do that the Brick can't is powering pedals with reverse poalrity with the required connector.

Very easy. Plug in the adapter on one side, the effects on the other. Just make sure you get the connections right. Great plus is the size, doesn't demand much pedalboard real estate.

Sound Quality : 5
As i started using it, i was pretty happy with it. Just using the 9 volt outlets caused no problems whatsoever. First thing that was slightly annoying was when i purchased my Fulltone '69. That pedal requires reverse polarity, and the dc brick cant cope with that. So i went and bought me a visual sound one spot, to power the fuzz. Not an ideal situation, because i wanted all my pedals to be powered by one power unit... But then i decided that i had to bring my trusty old Danelectro Cool Cat back on the board. This is the 18 volt model. At this time, the dc brick started acting funny. It messed with my sound. It became overly harsh, or shifted in volume on the most inappropriate occasions... This is when i decided it had to go.

It just works, no comment....

Great product, as long as you are using standard 9 volt DC effects, with negative center polarity.
I sold mine to a guitarist who uses nothing but these effects. He's as hppy with it as i was, in the beginning.
I use a VooDoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus now. It handles reverse polarity and you can combine two outputs to get 18 or 24 volt.
I have to power (in effects chain order); Fulltone '69 fuzz, Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Wah, Boss TU2 Tuner, EMMA DiscumBOBulator Envelope filter, MXR Phase 90, Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe, Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus, Ibanez TS9 Overdrive.

Very easy, just plug it in, then plug it in to your effects

Sound Quality : 10
I used to use a Visual Sound 1 spot which had a buzz when daisy chained. With this unit there is no noise. I use it with a Boss dd-20, boss 0d-20, Danelectro Fab overdrive, and a zoom g2.1u.

Reliability : 10
I have had it for about two months and played a few gigs. No problem so far.

Never had to deal with them, but there are some dead spots on their website which make finding replacement parts hard.

Overall Rating : 10
This works great. The only thing I don't like is how bright the on light is but a piece of black tape cured that. I would replace it if lost.

A messy tangle of wires...a pain of tangles from the get go...electrical speghetti...AND To sheild this crap from bleeding dc hum to the lines one needs to fidget with grounding tape or tinfoil and rubber cement....it's useless.

Sound Quality : 1
Creates HUM in EVERY PEDAL i plug it into...MXR's, DOD's, Dunlop Wahs, Electro Harmonix....EVERYTHING
Seriously...The whole rig is on a common Furman, NOTHING else hums.
I plug this thing in...and then EVERYTHING hums.
back to batteries...hum is GONE!

This thing is like blending a white noise generator into my signal chain...I HAVE a moog...if I want white noise...I'll use the moog.

....EXCEPT THE Roto-Vibe which already had PLENTY of hum and hiss
of it's own....hence why it's been evicted from my set up for a week.

I'm taking this peice of crap back.

Reliability : No Opinion
Not going to hang onto it long enough to find out...I'm returning it tonight.

Dunlop has effectively destroyed my opinion of them...they can't seem to get ANYTHING right.

their gear is PERFECT for 13 Slipknot fans...and useless to anyone who can still hear.

Overall Rating : 1
just another Guitar Center Bargain bin special...avoid at all costs.

Very easy to use, manual is clear and concise.

Sound Quality : 10
I use this power supply to power a boss dd-6 (delay), boss bf-3 (flanger) and a BBE Boosta Grande, with many more pedals on the way soon! With these pedals, there is no additional noise at all when compared to being used with batteries. I am yet to see how it copes with boutique type pedals, but i don't expect any problems.

Reliability : 6
Here are my few gripes. I do gig use it on gigs without a backup but it makes me a little nervous. My main concern i guess is the flimsy power cord connecting the "brick" to the power supply itself (the transformer). I can see it breaking very easily. Also, I wish the "transformer" was actually inside the "brick" and that there was a nice thick power cord coming out, never mind that the unit would have to be bigger.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 8
This unit does the job, but could be better. The 18v outputs are useless for me as all the pedals i use are 9v. 3 of the 10 outputs are 18v but I ask you, are 30% of pedals on the market today 18v?, i don't think so. Also, the flimsy power cable is too short. Anyway, i just wish this thing were more sturdy, especially considering the money i paid for it! But then i got ripped off by a locals store - ebay is the way to go for this type of thing.
If this were stolen, i would try to get one of the voodoo labs. Failing that (they are very hard to get as they are hand made) i would buy this again.

Absolutely dead easy. Couldn't ask for better in this area.

O.K. I've had this sucker for a year and it's performed flawlessly with assorted compact '9 volt' Boss and Ibanez pedals and a '9 volt' Dunlop (Fasel) crybaby during this time.
READ ON . . . .
I've recently purchased one of Dunlops new boutique 'Slash' Crybabys (think it's called an SW-95) at great expense. This Wah is differant than many of it's rivals as it boasts 18 volt current draw for "more headroom", which it has in spades.
As the Slash Wah is a Dunlop product (as is the DC-Brick) i thought it was fair to assume flawless performance . . . . . WRONG!
Powering the Slash Wah from any one of the thee 18 volt outlets in the DC-Brick (as it's intended) causes my amp (Marshall head and quad box) to hum like a swarm of bees. You just can't ignore it or 'eq' it away.
My rating of 5 in this category is because it works as the manufacturer intended it for HALF of it's functions . . . the 9 volt half.
I see other reviewers have had similar experiances with alternate pedals which command 18 volts of power.

Reliability : No Opinion
It's fair to say this item is pretty robust and would take some abuse to break it.
As detailed above i'd ONLY depend on it to power 9 volt pedals because, based on my experiance and that of other reviews, the 18 volt supply ports simply don't perform.

Customer Support : 1
Now people, this is the best part; bear with me here . . .
I contacted Dunlop customer support and explained this horrid humming noise to them. I assumed that it was the Wah that was defective because it was the newest addition to my chain and my rig only hummed when the Wah was engaged.
Through various emails back and forth between myself and Dunlop i detailed my set up and use of the wah within my chain so that Dunlop could might solve the problem for me.
The end result was the customer service rep just scratching his head and saying -
"Sorry, but this is highly unusual and we just can't figure out the problem".
I've since stumbled across the company who does warranty repairs for Dunlop here in Australia and they managed to identify the problem within 30 seconds.
They said that there's no problem with the Slash Wah at all . . . . . the DC-Brick is interfering with it! Something to do with shielding.
What shit's me most about this is that Dunlop didn't tell me. Why? Maybe because they know that their DC-Brick product doesn't operate in the manner with which it's described and it'd cost them a fortune to recall and repair them.
I won't believe that they weren't aware of the Bricks inherant defect either.

Overall Rating : 5
I've been playing intensely for 12 years now and are lucky enough to own some really nice equipment. Some of which is Dunlop gear which is terrific.
The DC-Brick, fails to deliver on it's promise to power both 9 and 18 volt pedals effectively.
The 18 volt function is pitiful as the humming is so over powering rendering it useless.
It's one of the most expensive products of it's kind on the market and i feel cheated as i folked out top dollar for this overpriced item.
Buyer beware!

The only way anyone could screw this one up is to plug a 9V into an 18V or vice versa. Otherwise its a no brainer.

Sound Quality : 5
Here's my set up. Maybe you can point out where I was getting the awful noise.

EB Vol -> Dunlop Crybaby -> Boss TU-2 -> Boss DD-6 -> Line 6 ToneCore Tremolo -> MXR Phase 90

This is where I had the most trouble with the power supply. I needed something that would power all my pedals and not add a bunch of noise to them. Well this thing had no problem supplying power, however, there was such a jump in the amount of noise I got from my rig that I couldn't stand to use it. Maybe they should add some sort of power regulator or something, but it needs help.

Reliability : 8
It's built like well a brick. But I'm giving it an 8 because the pedal cables are very thin and look as though they could break.

Overall Rating : 6
It makes noise like a madman. But I loved the compact size of the thing. My recommendation is to save your money and buy a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power. It's worth the extra cash.

9V outputs on front and 3 18V out on side

No hiss or hum from any of my pedal EXCEPT when I plug in my MXR-134 Stereo Chorus - It HUMS! I have been working with Dunlop to resolve this. The 18v adapter that comes with the MXR-143 Chorus works fine. So there has to be an issue with the 18V side of the Brick!

Reliability : 10
It is built like a brick but the power adapter that comes with it could be a little more thicker!

Customer Support : 10
These guys have been great. We are currently working to resolve the 18V hum issue with the brick and the MXR Chorus. It is not the biggest issue in the world but I feel like they care about the product and are trying to resolve it.

Overall Rating : 10
I have a Voodoo Power II and the only reason I bought the brick was for the 18v side. I am very please to power up the rest of my pedal with this - I use about 7 pedals on my pedal board and switch out 2 or 3 more. I give an overall rating of 10 because in the end I feel like Dunlop will try to fix this problem and we will all be happier when it is all said and done. It is a very good product.
