The rack wah is very easy to setup. Plug it in, plug cable in, send it out, plug in TRS Cable to pedal, pick setting, fiddle EQ, and play away. A little bit of steps but you'll thank yourself for it.

I go from a Gibson Les Paul to a Nady 950GS, to DCR-1SR, DBX166XL, Rocktron Hush IICX, to MXR-10BAND EQ, to DD-5 Delay to a marshall. And surprisingly...NO NOISE AT ALL! The sound is always good. I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE Slash fan and bought it because I loved his wah sound However, I can't find good settings at least for me to emulate him. But,I can get everyone else, Hammett, Petrucci, Hendrix, Wylde, etc. This thing is awesome.

Dunlop has always been good, their stuff is built well and I trust them. I've gigged this baby without a backup before and would do so again, its perfectly reliable and safe, otherwise just bring a backup JH-1 Wah or something like that if your overcautious.

I play Blues, Classic Rock, Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal. This wah perfectly suits what I play. If this thing were lost or stolen, I'd probably flip out because it is discountined and I would not recommend buying the DCR-2SR. If this thing could have anything else, I know this would be asking a lot, but a sheet of artists settings, even though they care so much about them...

It's pretty simple. Pick from 1-6 different wahs, then adjust the built in eq if you want. The eq is a little annoying to fool with but you don't really need it anyway.

This is by far the best sounding and most versatile wah I have ever tried and I've tried a ton of different wahs. My second favorite wah, which was the one I had before this, was the Snarling Dog Super Whine O Wah. I loves it but it was kinda noisy and couldn't cover that wide of a spectrum. It was either you have the nasally sounding shaft wah, a mid range wah, or a bass wah. The DCR can handle them all at once in my opinion.

My only problem is the cheap stereo cable that comes with it. I think since you're spending about $400 on this thing they could still make a ton of profit giving you a high quality cable.

I'm into rock, blues, funk, progrssive, and many other styles. This thing works well in all situations. It is a great wah but is horribly overpriced. If it was between the $200-250 price range it would be great. Still the best wah I've ever used but $400 for a wah? Damn you Jim Dunlop!

Piece of cake. Plug in, send out, pick a wah setting (6 total), start eq all at noon (if you want it active), plug in expression pedal, and play. Can connect up to four expression pedals to the rack unit, each allowing up to 500 feet in cable distance. Expression pedal needs battery only for on/off lights on each; if you leave one on, you can run to another and activate that one and it'll automatically turn the other one off, make sense? Anyone can get a good sound out of it, try wah setting 3 or 4, 5 and 6 may be too bassy for some, whereas 1 and 2 are not too trebly, but applicable to certain situations. Manual is 2 pages, since there is basically nothing to tell you but "plug and play."

Guitar to Dunlop Rack Wah to amp. No tonal suffering when bypassed. Has a helpful buffered out. Overall super quiet. Effects variety is great, tons of range, like having all crybabys in one box. Easily pegs Petrucci/Hammet rhythm AND lead tones. Very nice pick attack and smooth scoop, great sound. Not as transparent for the lower gain and clean tones, I'd recommend an RMC3 here, more vintage-like but still very nice. This is perhaps the only reason it might get a 9, but then again, no other wah is a 10. It says crybaby all over it, very powerful sound, not disappointed, but might still ask for more transparency in the lower cleans. Awesome chunkiness in the mids, U2-like.

Great for ALL styles, and if you're super particular about a sound you are trying to peg, this one should be in the line-up, provided a rack unit would not be cumbersome for you. Been playing almost 10 years and own all high end equipment. Would buy it again if it were stolen/lost. Looks great, sounds great, has proof in recordings that it is awesome, live and studio. Chose this one 'cause I got a great deal on a new product, sounds awesome, and fits my style (rock, blues, progressive, alternative). Can't think of anything else it should have really. Feels natural to play, nice song writing tool.

Well, it's harder to set up than a normal wah pedal, but it's a rack effect!! Generally rack effects have more options than stompboxes. It's very easy to get good sounds. There are 6 presets, and a 5 band eq to adjust them to your own tastes. In my view the DCR-1SR compared to a normal crybaby, morley or any other shit wah on the market, is like comparing a thousand dollar bill to a one dollar bill. The quality of this thing is amazing. You can plug in up to 4 controllers and use them at different places around the stage, which is really cool.

I run my guitar through a korg rack tuner, through the dcr-1sr, to my volume pedal, to the Mesa/Boogie Mark 4. It's not noisy if you know how to use and setup rack effects properly. The sound is just amazing. No signal loss.

Well, it's a rack module. I have an ATA rack, so it should be alright.
Those are heavily protected enough for flight travel, so it should last in the back of my van. Well, seein's how it's dunlop in all, i'd depend on it. They have a good reputation.

I've emailed dunlop a couple of times, they've responded very quickly so they get a ten. Plus I asked them about a modification to an ernie ball volume pedal to use as a controller for this effect, they gave me the address for the custom shop, and they'll build me one, but I built one my self.

I got the best deal ever on this. I got two expression pedals with it, two cords, and the processor. duh. It was in excellent condition, and the list for the effect is 599US and the extra pedal is 129US. So I think i got a good bargain. I'm a Kirk Hammett fan, and I took the electronics out of one of the expression pedals, scrapped my ernie ball volume pedal, (i have two), and rigged up the electronics in the ernie ball body. It was hard to do, it took some trial and error, but worth it. Plus it's very delicate. Maybe the next time I do one, i'll get the dunlop custom shop do do one for me. This is VERY sweet. The sweep is much nicer and smooth on the ernieball, and I would recommend anybody to do this. I would rather the ernieball foot controler than the crybaby.
Plus the ernie ball looks cooler too. Now if I could only play like kirk.....
I wish you didn't have to make the mod to the ernieball volume pedal to work with the DCR-1SR, but you can't blame dunlop for only wanting customers to use their products. I could do without the modded controller, I only did it because I had an extra one. I wouldn't have went and spent 130 bucks on a new controller, and ruined by scrapping it for parts.
BOTTOM LINE!!!! This is THE top of the line wah. Dont get fooled by those shitty multifx processors. Get this one, if you have the cash. I dont have the cash to buy a new one, I was just lucky enough to come across this wicked bargain. So if you have a chance to get one, GET IT. They're hard to find. They're used by alot of the top guitarists, such as John Petrucci, Kirk Hammett, Joe Perry, Slash, I think Dimebag Darrel used one before he got his signature ones, but i'm not sure.
This thing is tres tres tres professional. I'd die if I had lost it. Cause i'd have to save up forever to get a new one again!!!!!!!
I cant say it enough!! THIS IS THE BEST WAH ON THE MARKET!!!

Its really easy to use, you have a choice of 6 wah sounds, they go from bass wah to the normal GCB-95 wah setting. The EQ is awesome for even further control. Also, another awesome thing about this unit is: you can have up to 4 stage locations, what I mean is there are 4 expression pedal slots in the back. I have 2 expression pedals and when I play live I put one stage left, and one stage right so you can play to both sides of the crowd. OH yea, i have a wireless too so that allows me to do this.

Here is where this baby shines. I play ALOT of metallica and this gets that Kirk Hammett live sound with the fat range on it from really bassy to trebly its exactly what I was looking for. Its fairly quiet I have alot of rack gear so my set up is a little noisy but its mainly from my tc electronics M-ONE i think. I use this with a Gibson Les Paul Classic thru a 5150 and its unbelievable wah sound. I love this thing. I also use a strat and you can get the SRV/Hendrix wah sound w/it to.

I think it's the best wha effect you can find on the market.
Low noise, buffered output, great EQ section, different wha ranges.
You can obtain every wha sound out of this device, with no sound compromises at all.

When you use a "normal" wha pedal, no matter you have a lot of fun.
But with this device you can have fun and a professional sound at the same time.
i'm always very critic about musical stuff. i worked for several years in music shops, and i developed a "hi-end" taste about effect devices. Some blinking lights not always means great sound.
This unit can provide you with the best wha-wha sound you can expect, both in studio and in live gigs. Besides, for live situations, it features the possibility to be remotely controlled by 4 (!) pedals, placed on different areas of the stage.
Of course it's not a cheap unit, but i don't complain at all about the price: it works great!

This is the highest quality wah, period. It's better than all those ground wahs. Because you can customize it. Not to mention, it's in rack form leaving for higher quality material(No space on JUST a Crybaby, so in a 1-space rack their is EQ and settings).

If you use wah, this is the best for any style. Simply the best. Highest quality material. Problem with this one is....price. For the expression pedal ALONE will cost more than a regular Crybaby. But, when you hear this thing, you'll understand why it's worth it.
