It can be difficult switching the CryBaby on and off. It is nearly impossible when you play sitting down. You need to step hard on the front of the pedal to trigger the switch.
For my taste the pedal could have a little more resistance, it moves quite easily.

Sound Quality : 6
Allright it has the pure wahwah vintage sound!
But it's very noisy when switched on.

Reliability : 10
I do not abuse my equipment but it looks very very sturdy.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 6
For anybody looking into the original Wah sound, this is the pedal.
It is noisy and not very easy to use, though.

kay, my setup is a dillion dse-533 deluxe into led modded ds1->CRYBABY->dano chorus->dano trem->holy grail reverb->arion stage tuner->fender silverface champ->sm57->presonus blue tube->p.a. or other reinforcement. if youre wondering why i have it after the ds1, its because it sounds awful with distortion in any place, so i put it where it looked best on my board, since i cant use it at the same time with anything. alone it is okay for rhythm work, but for soloing the upper midrange is hideous, very warbly, not vocal sounding, just painful really. sounds worse the louder it gets too. has a volume drop to it. it sounds wonderful for rhythm work, but anything else...no.

Reliability : 10
ive had it for two years, and the only problem ive had is having to reattach the felt piece that presses the switch. i had to clean out the pot on it also. no big problems despite many attempts to blow it up. solid!

havent needed them.

i got this when i first switched from folk to electric music. i figured, i want a wah, ill get a crybaby. like nearly every electric player, i am a huge hendrix fan. the thing is, i can cop some jimi, but i am NOT him, nor am i clapton, or any of those other guys. how do they make these sound good? by being totally assured and kick ass players. im just not that good yet, nor i suspect are most who buy this pedal, judging from reviews as well as seeing folks use them. im going to look into either selling this and getting a budda wah or a 535q maybe, or possibly making a project out of this one with new parts. im not horrified by it, it does okay for rhythm, but is too bitchy about its treble range for my playing. i got it because i didnt know any better basically. also, because i didnt realize that VOX actually made hendrix's pedal. oh well, live and learn.

stolen or lost? i dont think id lose it. stolen, im insured, bring it on.

bottom line, try it, try others, read reviews, know what youre getting.

If you cant use this, please don't attempt eating with a fork. After five minutes, I was happier with my guitar playing than I had been in years.

Sound Quality : 10
I, like most, got this pedal specifically to get that famous Hendrix (Guitar God #1) sound...and I got just what I wanted. It sounds great...period.

Reliability : 10
Only complaint is if I ever dropped it, it'd probably break my foot. Its definitely a tank...Cast Iron...what more do you have to say?

HOpe I never find out.

I've been playing sometimes professionally, but mostly for my own enjoyment since 1981 and I never bought a wah. I play a little of everything from Classic Rock to funk to Metal to classical. I Walked into my local Guitar Center last week and asked for one, and lucky day, someone had just returned one. It was "new", and only cost me $50, which is apparently a steal. Fact is, I, like most, got this pedal specifically to get that famous Hendrix (Guitar God #1) sound...and I got just what I wanted. This is also perfect for SRV, Eric Johnson, some Vai, anything from the 60's 70's. Nothing quite like that chuka-chuka funky shuffle shit...love it! Voodoo Chile BEGS to be played on this pedal. It sounds great...period. Unlike some above, I had no problem recreating the sounds I wanted, in fact, I was astounded at how easy it was to use. I'm more excited to play guitar than I have been in ten years...my only gripe is with myself...why didn't I get one of these earlier? DOH!

I've been playing Crybaby's for years and have found them to be a great means of expression. Having said that, getting a great sound isn't easy at first. It's taken me awhile to find those sweet pots and to make the connection between the sound in my head and those spots so that it becomes intuitive. Easy no. Worth the work Yes.

Sound Quality : 6
I play an Gibson SG Standardard-->Compressor-->Dist--> Super Reverb.
Be advised that, though I love this pedal, I wish it didn't suck tone as much as it does. So given that, and the fact that it is very noisy when coupled with distortion, but that that chuka-chuka sound still gives me chills, I give it a 6 for sound quality.

Reliability : 8
Built to take punishment. The only thing that needs servicing, and which I take care of every six months or so is the switch. But that's common knowledge with these pedals.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had the need.

Overall Rating : 7
Over the years I have owned several wah's - Dunlops, Fulltone Clyde's, Morley's, Boss V-Wah, etc... I have to say, for me anyway, the only pedal that creates that vintage 70's Waka-Waka scratch sound is the Dunlop. For Funk players looking for that vintage "Scratch" sound this is the pedal. For gain mongers I would suggest the Clyde or a Morley. Again, this is just my opinion.

WIth an Ibanez Gax370 and a 10 yr old amp, its good.....but there is less and more of everytthing, too much trebble tooo little bass wah, thats kinda annoying and the middle is hard to find......it kinda fuzzes on the trebble, and it kills a little volume

Reliability : 10
This is really dependable no prob

uhh it has no controls haha how can it be any easier?

Sound Quality : 5
for a 200 buck wah it's pretty good. great to start off with, coz there are no controls, you just stamp on it and it goes wah. but once you start getting a little better at guitar and you start noticing the little things, you begin to realise what the true capabilities of this wah are. i've had this wah pedal since i started playing about 3 years ago, and i've become a real fan of the dunlop wah sound. i don't really like the sound of vox or budda wahs, but i guess that using this wah for so long has been a major factor in that

the things i don't like much about this wah are that it has a lot of volume loss when it's in the heal down position, and way too much volume when it's in the toe down position. i've been told that it could be the order of the chain, but having this before distortion sucks the wah sound out of it. it sounds shitloads better after distortion effects. also, using heaps of gain can limit the wah sound, but if you need to use that much gain you obviously don't have a very sensitive ear for sound haha

the other thing is that the wah sound is very dramatic. almost ear piercing if you use it to forcefully in the toe down position. i'm going to have to try the 535Q, and tweak all the knobs

i'm using this pedal after a Zoom Tri-metal, and before a boss noise suppressor, and into a Marshall JCM900 Master Volume. my sound is almost there....would be better if i had enough money to buy a mesa markIV and some emg's, but what i've got now is awesome on it's own so i'll have to deal with it :(

Reliability : 10
this thing is a brick haha. you can't break it. well you could...but what kind of idiot buys something for 200 bucks and then breaks it intentionally? as far as effects go, this is up with the best of them as far as reliability goes

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
if only this thing had some controls for me to play with! but as a wah to start your guitaring with, this thing is the greatest. it's cheap, and it sounds pretty good, and you can't break it, nothing else you can ask for in a $200 wah pedal. but my beginnings as a guitarist are over, and it's time to move up the ladder

If you can turn on your computer, you can use this pedal.

Sound Quality : 10
Well, my setup is a Washburn WR150 (guitar) and a Marshall Valvestae 40V (amp). It sounds like classic hendrix and clapton when i dont uuse any distortion and when I use me Boss HM-2 heavy meatal pedal, It's nuts! The sound is great and u better beleive it sounds like Kirk Hammett or Zakk Wylde (ZW is better!,lol)

Reliability : 10
i just bought mine but it seems to be built pretty good. It can support my weight, so it has to be kinda strong.

Never had too.

I dont know, maybe it's because I am easily satisfied, but i think this is a great pedal. It's gret for the price and for the sound quality.

Simplest pedal i have ever seen, click the toe to turn it on, heel back for bass, toe forward for treble, click the toe to turn it off again. Simple. Although there isn't really a need for a manual, the one it comes with explains it's simplicity. So easy to use.

Sound Quality : 8
My current setup is: Samick Fat Strat copy > GCB-95 > Boss DS-1 > Peavey solid state. (I know that's a pretty weak set-up, but I'm working on it). I originally had the wah after distortion, but after some experimenting, i have discovered it is more effective first. It has a nice sound, but it's a bit noisy. When the pedal is off there's a bit of noise but not too much.

Reliability : 10
This thing is built to last. I would gig with this pedal without a backup any time. My friend has the same one and it's survived trips down the stairs into his cement floor in his basement, and there isn't as much as a scratch. My experiences are much the same.

Never needed to call them

Overall Rating : 9
I play mostly alt. rock and a bit of grundge, and this pedal fits pretty well. I've been playing guitar for about 3 years, and just now I'm really starting to get a good set-up going and I guarentee this will be the main wah pedal. I love the simplicity of this pedal and the fact it will probably last as long as any boss pedal out there. If this pedal were lost or stolen, I would probably replace it. I don't care what everyone else says, this pedal rocks!

It's a wah, that's how easy it is to use. You push your foot back and forth to change the treble and the wah effect. To turn onn and off you simply apply an increased amount of pressure to the front.

Sound Quality : 2
In short, this wah just sound. Like many other people, i bought it simply because of the initial feel of using a wah pedal to add theat classic sound. However, when I finally got this home i realised it wasn't such a great choice. The main problem with this pedal is that the effect is incredibly uneven. What I mean, is that the sound is extremely slow in changing up untill your foot reaches the middle where the trebble is suddenly increased giving you a sudden changing sound rather than a smooth wah. The second thing which is wrong with this pedal is the amount which it changes the tone on my amp. As there is no bypass in the off position, even when you're not using the pedal, you find that your distortion is cut and your tone weakened noticably. And thirdly,. just to finish it off, it'ss one hell of a noisy pedal

Reliability : 9
Ok, I'll give it that, i's pretty danm reliable.

Without any distortion at all, this pedal aint all that bad if you can excuse the noise. However, add even a slight bit of distortion and it just sounds awful. If you want a wah pedal and this is the only one you can afford, then just keep saving for that Morley or Vox. And don't be fooled by the name. It may be the original but it definitely aint the best.

I think we all know how to use one of this, don't we?
Now, getting a decent lead solo out of this thing is just impossible.
Good for stupid and boring chuka- chaka rythm.
I don't know about the manual because it's not mine, a friend of mine lets me use it, and I've played it for three or four months.

Sound Quality : 3
This thing blows, no joke. SO hard to make leads stand out with the wah on. No expression at all, the only time you can actually hear say it wah is when sweeping all the way from bass to treble so there's no way to articulate a damn solo. It pisses me off.
Maybe I am using the wrong kind of amp (solid state amp) and this sounds awesome through a Marshall or a Mesa, but If you are playing a solid state amp this wah pedal is gonna suck.
It goes from bass to treble and there's nothing in between, I think that's the main problem with it, no midrange whatsoever. Also the transition from bass to treble is not smooth at all. I just can't make it scream, not even when I turn the mids all the way up on my amp, and I'm playing DiMarzio humbuckers.
NO. I cannot make the sound of my favorite artists (Satriani, Vai, Hammett) because their wah wah pedals don't suck and this one does.
If you play lead and want to make yor solos scream and cut through the mix, then forget this one.

Reliability : No Opinion
I don't know but I couldn't care less, actually I don't give a shit if it's reliable. Yeah, it's that bad.
Are you crazy? I would never take this to a gig unless I started playing that worthless reagge shit and I think that's never gonna happen.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I'll try some other crybabys because this one was awful.
