The ease of use is up to the user. Can you feel the sounds or do you just move it from end to end? If you are looking for a pedal that just moves from point A to point B without your control, look elsewhere. If you actually like to contour your sound, this is the pedal for you.

Sound Quality : 9
Currently use a strat with a Marshall 1/2 stack, sound is great. This pedal allows me the entire middle area of any other wah, but also gives me the outer ends so that I can do what I want. All the way back, to the bass end, it serves almost like a volume pedal in that it can get so low that it fades. Great for sweeping my guitar sound in and out during a song. If you want just a super-controlled fade, get an auto-wah instead. If you are not careful, this pedal can get away from you. Buyer beware, but works for me.

Reliability : 9
Felt pad between the switch and metal got squished, which makes the on/off action more difficult. Umm, stick a new felt pad on and there you go.... No backup, I'm in a working-class band.

No dealings with the company. Even if it broke, wahs are not that hard to fix on your own.

Overall Rating : 9
Really like this pedal (if that's not obvious). It's a strong effect, especially given the variety of so-called wahs out there. This pedal can get away from you if you don't have a feel for the sound you need out of it. In other words, this is not the first wah to buy. I would definitely buy this again, it's an integral part of my sound. We play rock and roll music, hard-edged but simple. I've been playing for quite a while, and owned other wahs (including a Dunlop bass wah I used with my guitar) so my expectation of a wah's capability might be a little different than most guitarists. If you want a pedal with serious capability, buy this one. If you are looking for the basic "wah sound", look elsewhere.

Great it has much better sweep than Crybabys and voxs My setup is strat plus deluxe>danelectro daddyo>fender Roc.Pro 1000 It sounds great for all types of playing.

Reliability : 9
Yes I gig regularly with it and no back up it is unstopable

I play all styles except country. Every one says go with Vox the original, thats what jimi hendrix had,no his wah was from a custom shop its not like the vox reissue. As far as im concerned this is a great wah, but decide for yourself.

It is very hard to get a good sound - all the "wah" occurs in the top 1/4 of the pedal so for the lower 3/4 of the time, you just have a bassy crappy sounding rumble.

Sound Quality : 4
I use a Fender Squire Strat with 3 single coils, and a peavey bandit 112 amp. I returned this and bought a dunlop Crybaby Original - now that is a sweet pedal
Remember - always put your wah after distortion - otherwise it sounds like crap.

Reliability : 9
I only had it for a week, it did fine.

Just step on the thing and go wah! The only problem is that I usually play sitting down, and it can be hard to turn it on and off.

Sound Quality : 9
I put the wah after a boss hyper fuzz box, and the sound is absolutely amazing. It has an awesome range Which can sometimes be tricky if you want a smooth transition. Just need time to get used to it.

Reliability : 10
Just look at the thing! it is probably easier to break down a tank!

Overall Rating : 9
I generally play blues, and love soling my way over Eric Clapton. This wah just gives you that expression missing from the sound. It can make your solo's cry and your nice fat chords roar. Love Korn too, and can be usefull to make weiry sounds on that music. It is also good with clean sounds.

Click on and click off - nothin' else to it.

Good sound, but at low volumes I get a loud distorted type thing about halfway down. So I just play loud, so who cares.

Pretty reliable son of a bitch.

I like it. Even seems to bitch about the battery being hard to get at, but I don't mind the hassle. I still on the first battery 6 monthes later and I do play daily.

uhhhh...depress the pedal and blammo! Wah-wah! Pretty easy!

Sound Quality : 7
I bought this pedal because I wanted to get a little more bass out of the pedal -- at the very low end, it almost mutes the instrument -- this is my only gripe.

Overall Rating : 8
I like it -- it does what it says, very simple...however, I still don't like the very low end (very quiet almost muted bass), however I'd buy it again...I just don't play it all the way down.

Just stomp it ON and cry your heart out! I put mine as close to the guitar as possible and run my distortion after it. The DC input jack is a nice touch, but I just always use it with a battery, 'cause I HATE wall-warts (DC converters) I only wish the battery had easier access.

Sound Quality : 8
This one has THE "Classic" Wah sound. Even better than the original VOX and Vox Cry-Baby. (Hendrix had his customized!) I only wish it had a volume control, so I could set it LOUDER!

Reliability : 5
The case is really tough metal, I give mine a lot of abuse. The only problem I have is sometimes the pins which hold the pedal to the base get a little rusty and it sticks. I solved this by keeping a can of WD-40 around. I've never had an electronic problem, not even the potentiometer!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I bought mine used, and never had any trouble, so I can't say anything about support.

Overall Rating : 8
This is a "Must Have" item. Even if you only use it on one song.

Comparatively speaking, this out performs the Dunlop Crybaby. I enjoy using it; and I admit, this is probably the top of the line wah pedals one can find. However, I still think that someone could produce a better one. When I push the pedal down to the muted, distorted sound, the volume is extremely low and I cannot play the guitar simply on this setting. I have to change it back to the normal setting. I guess the range of sounds is so drastic on this pedal that one can't use the extremes. Overall I'd probably rate it as one of the easiest wah pedals to use. Hey, it's a classic.

Sound Quality : 7
As stated in the "ease of use" portion, I don't like the muted, fuzzy sound when the pedal is totally compressed. For one thing, I have a terrible amp but I am expecting to purchase a new one in the near future which should enhance the quality of the wah pedal. When not using it, you have to leave the pedal at its normal setting in order to receive a good, clean sound. Still, it is a great buy.

Reliability : 8
Yes, there you can depend on this pedal. It won't break down on you. I'm not sure how long the 9-volt battery will last in there. It won't be good when that thing runs out... Maybe I should switch to using an AC adapter. I think there is an output for that.

If you're looking for a quality wah pedal, this is the one to buy, especially if you are a huge Jimi Hendrix fan. One thing I forgot to mention was that I had an incredibly difficult time getting the battery in. First of all, you have to unscrew each screw on the bottom individually. That, in itself, took around 15 minutes. The screws were on there awfully tight! Secondly, the battery refused to snap in. It requires one 9-volt battery, and it took a decent amount of strength to connect that sucker. Nonetheless, I'd rate this pedal pretty high overall. Just a few minor problems won't effect my opinion of it.

Turn it on and of by pressing the pedal down...how hard can it be? If you got the right guitar and the right amp it always sounds great. It didn't come with a manual, but I can't imagine you'd need one. What's realy annoying is the replacement of the battery though: you need to unscrew the whole bottom, which you can't do during a gig and there's no warning light...that's why I use an AC-adaptor, especialy since I got my pedal mounted on a board wth the rest of effects, all powered by a home-made powersupply. (everybody should do this! It's so much easier!). I upgradet my unit with a standard (Boss-like) AC-connector, since the factory installed connector caused my fuses to blow........this is the reason why I rated this category so low.

Sound Quality : 8
It adds no terrible noise, just the noise every analoge pedal produces. The sound is a good funky wah. Jimi comes alive again. I think the sound is sharper with more treble than the other Dunlop models, but I like that high 'wacky' sound.

Reliability : 10
I've had to replace the pot, since three years of heavy use made the old one crankle and the effect became less stronger over time. But this went gradualy and I even got accustomed to the 'worn-out sound' it produced. The new pot is pretty expensive, but replacement is easy to do it yourself. No other failures occured since I bought it. It's housed in a heavy steel chassis, it holds my entire weight, and also that of my band members....

Never had to deal wih the company

Overall Rating : 8
I think I would buy it again. I like the sound better than the Vox and Morley-pedals and it's much cheaper, so good value for money. I've enjoyed using it ever since I bought it. As said, I hate the battery-replacement and I think this is a major draw-back, but I found a solution in using an AC-adaptor. I use it a lot in funky stuff to play and of course while immitating Hendrix. As said if you got a good guitar ( I use a US STD Strat) an d a good amp (I use a marshall and a Fender Blues Deluxe) then the sound is just perfect. When using heavy dist. on your amp though, it's better to use the effect-loop or to place a dist. box before the wah, otherwise things can get weird.
