Plug it in and step on it. That's all. No fancy knobs. Just a bypass switch. Your average Wah.

Sound Quality : 10
I think it has a great sound. It's fatter than most wahs that i've ever heard. You don't get as much highs as most other units either. But the travel of the effect is plenty. Sometimes the pot crackles because of dust, which can get pretty irritating.

Reliability : 10
It's real strong, completely made out of thick metal. Never had any problems with it. You certainly don't need a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed their help.

Overall Rating : 10
I'd buy it again. I lve the sound, especially with a clean guitarsound. Whenever you need some inspiration for a solo, this unit will bring it to you.

Couldn't get a simpler pedal than a wah wah although you have to kick pretty hard to bypass. I might raise the switch or file the rubber nobby things.

Sound Quality : 9
Great fat sounding wah just like a cry baby with a little more bottom end. I will eventually get round to doing a true bypass as the tone it sucks is noticeable if you A/B it.

Reliability : 9
Haven't had it for long but nothing wrong so far. I think with anything like a wah pedal that is very mechanical and gets a fair ammount of workout I would have a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed.

Overall Rating : 9
A great pedal that gives you a great wah sound for all styles. It helps to mess round with your EQ till you get a great sound. Get a true bypass mod done. When you bypass you actually get a click coming down the line. I'm fairly sure this is the same with all similar wahs but it probably can be eliminated by putting in capacitor to draw the build up charge to ground instead of down the line. I would buy again. If I had a second a would start messing round with the insides too. ie range selectors, reversing the pot, volume pedal mod etc.

Well, I think it's as easy as things get, you plug it in and turn it on. I think the only difficult part is getting the hang of it. There is a small manual-brochure sort of thing but it just tells you how it works and advertises other models and products.

Sound Quality : 7
Sounds great with no distortion, the WAH effect lessens as you add distortion. I think the bottom end is a bit too low, it almost kills the sound. Compared to the standard CRYBABY it has more of a "sixties" sound, where as the CRYBABY has more of a "Grunge" sound. (eg. Soundgarden, Pearl Jam etc.)

Reliability : 10
Solid as a brick... Almost... Made of really hard metal, could break it unless you dropped it from a long way up, or messed around with the inside of it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I'm in Australia so I don't have any dealings with Jim Dunlop what so ever.

Overall Rating : 8
This is the only WAH-WAH pedal I have used properly apart from the standard CRYBABY, and I think this one has a better sound. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has too much bottom end and not enough top end. Though I think this is fixable...? I probably wouldn't buy it again, though I don't know what I'd buy instead... any suggestions?

On/off, wah, wah. Can't get much simpler than that, folks.

Sound Quality : 8
Putting this pedal in my signal path cuts the trebles a bit, but everything you put in a signal path affects your tone. It gives a wonderful, warm wah without the high trebles or low thuddy basses I've found in other wah pedals. However, if you want the highs and lows, this pedal is not for you. It has very limited range, but within that range can be found many warm tones. WARNING: this pedal is damned noisy when switched on. I picked up some religious AM station on my amp.

Reliability : 9
It hasn't given me any problems so far. I can't afford a backup, so I hope it doesn't go wacky during a gig. However, the wah mechanism is starting to squeak and the switch seems like it could be broken if stomped hard.

I dunno...

Overall Rating : 8
It gives lovely tones, but very limited... I can't get the funky "wikki-wikki" sounds out of it. It also cuts the overall harmonics of the guitar, even in bypass. It's ok. I'll keep it, but I'm not buying another...

Back For Bass, Forward For Treble. It rocks. Goes good with distortion and chorus. Press all the way down and the button turns the effect off. It took me a while to figure that one out. I felt like kind of an idiot. But once I figured that out, it rocked.

Sound Quality : 9
When the pedal's all the way down its a little more noisy then I would like but its nothing too bad. Its a slightly higher pitch wah then the crybaby ( I think, I could be wrong) Which I like. Get a power supply, they're like 10 bucks, its worth it in the long run.

Reliability : 5
Ehh... One time I turned it on and it made me sound like I had my guitar set on 0 and my amp really low. But I just pressed on it a couple times and the sound came back. No huge problem, but it would have if it was in the middle of a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to do it

Overall Rating : 9
Overall, it rocks, it has its problems, but it rocks. Its not as good as an original crybaby, if you want to shell out the 150 bucks for one, go ahead. Thats if you're a real wah-wah fan. If you just like the sound, and want a decent peadl get this. I played the Vox and a couple of other ones, this one was the best.

Simple to use

Sound Quality : 1
I ordered this pedal and returned it because I was unhappy with the sound. It caused a loss of highs/treble even when the effect was off; as long as it was plugged in my tone was affected. I sounds bassy and muddy compared to other wahs and lacks the tonal range...if you want the "Hendrix" sound look elsewhere.

Reliability : 3
This is another reason for me returning the wah; when I opened it up to put a battery in it I noticed that the circuit board was held in place by the input/output jacks which in turn were soldered directly to the board. I could see the solder joints flexing and breaking with repeated use. I don't know why Dunlop chose to manufacture this particular pedal like this...there other wahs have the circuit board held in place by screws, and the jacks are connected to the board with wires.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I would never buy this product again. In all fairness to Dunlop however, I would buy the VOX reissue which is excellent and which has a much more authentic "Hendrix" tone and is constructed better. IMO Dunlop uses the Hendrix name to market their cheap second-rate products.

It's as easy as any other crybaby, rock forward for treble, back for bass.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds very good on clean channel, sounds good with distortion.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had it for very long, and I use an AC adapter, so I don't know of any problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have a 1 year warranty with the guitar store. So I don't deal with Dunlop.

Overall Rating : 10
I would buy it again. It's a great effect. I liked the tone of this better than the regular crybaby because it's a lower tone. If I wanted to spend more money I would by a Dunlop Crybaby 535 because you can select the tone, including Original Crybaby tone and Jimi Hendrix tone.
