As with most Wah pedals, there is very little to controling it. Great sound is there as soon as you step forward and engage the switch. I bought mine used in perfect condition, but there was no manual. If you can't figure it out, you may have a problem.

I use a Kramer Nightswan as my main guitar. It is Very warm sounding. My amp is a Fender Super Six Reverb, which I have built a 2 x 12 cabinet for. I Use a DOD Tec-4 for all of the other effects. The pedal was built to the specifications of Hendrix's stuff and duplicates the pedals from the old Thomas Organs. This unit has a much wider sweep of tonal range than the standard "Crybaby" Wah. It has a special pot that allows it to run from very deep muddy wah to high pitch screaming. It blends with the tube amp to give that overall warm sound I want. Yes, you can sound like Hendrix or Slash with this. The catch is that you still must be able to play like them.

I have used this pedal on stage a lot. It is just about as bullet proof as stuff gets. Pick one up and you'll find that it weighs quite a bit. The battery lasts a very long time, even when you forget and leave the cord plugged in. I see no reason why it could not be used without a backup.

I have not delt with them, but they do have a nice web site. Sorry I don't remember the address. Do a search for Dunlop+effects or something like that.

I play anything from 70's hard rock to Slayer and Megadeth. This is a very vesitile wah. I have played for almost 12 years. I would definately buy one again. I basicly compared it to the standard Crybaby from Dunlop which I had experience with. Shop around ! I almost spent $120.00 for a standard one, but I found this one used with the plastic still covering the nameplate!! Some kid bought it and never used it, so he traded it back in. These list for about $150.00 or so on Dunlop's website.
