The on/off switch change from wah to volume too easily according to me, and the volume boost is hard to knock on or off every time you want cause it's really small and it's on the side of the pedal.

I'm using it with a G&L Asat classic->proco rat 2->mr. crybaby->Randall RG100SC. The wah is not bad but not smooth enough for me. But here is what makes this pedal unusable in my opinion : The wah sound is WAY heavier the normal sound. The volume boost does not affect the wah sound, but if you want to make the normal sound as loud as the wah with the boost, then you end up with an always overdriven sound (never clean) and the volume boost is then useless. So there's no way you can have an equal clean and wah volume.
And on top off this the volume is not smooth at all as many said so you can't make nice volume swells or adjust it exactly where you want.

I tought that this pedal was not so bad during the rehearsals because I only used wah for solo and lead, but it's during the first show I used it the problems began. The wah was so loud the sound tech had to cut me from the mix, leaving only my amp and it was still loud. I'd never by this wah, I'll go check for a vox instead

All right, it's a wah pedal ... press down hard for wah, L.E.D. comes on, convulsively swivel your foot, press hard again to disengage, and volume effect comes back. Obviously, you can see how difficult this is ;)
Only thing I don't love is that the volume effect is a little bit ... err, snappy ... volume's off, then on again. Work with it, you get better.

I used to think that this pedal was starting to get scratchy, after a few days of owning it ... (I did buy it used, off of eBay). Then I noticed it only was scratchy on the overdrive channel of my amp, which made NO sense, but I realized that with the Wah down, lower frequencies don't hum like the higher one's do, so it creates an ILLUSION that it's scratching, which it's not. Wah works perfectly, just the sound I wanted, for the money, at least. I think I might like the Vox's better, but seriously, when playing out, on-stage, YOU will be the only one caring that it's a Vox rather than Dunlop. These are built well, metal construction, no problems here.

As said, built of metal, nice construction. I don't like a bunch of plastic around me feet ... seems a little cheap to me, even though I don't stomp around on my equpiment. If you weigh 349 pounds and you stop on your equipment, save your money for some liposuction and take valium before you play your equipment. Treat your stuff like it is your baby and you'll be surprised how many wonderful, unmolested years of reliability you'll get from your equipment.
Only problem ... my input jacks don't hold the cords! If I pull on the cords wrong, then they just ... fall out ... watch out for this, but since mine's used, it might just be my own problem.

I play classic rock, Samick Les Paul copy, Essex Tele through this wah and into my Crate Vintage Club 50 (3 10" speakers, 2 '69 GE 5751's, 2 Mazda Ecc83's, 4 El84) and I use a dirty channel and the clean channel. Coming in the mail is a Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus to add to my little setup, and this is all I use, so I don't have any fancy E.Q. pedals to tweak with. What I plug into is basically what I hear, and I hear good sounds from this pedal. Certainly buy it, the volume aspect is a plus also.

A bit noisy (it is a Wha pedal, of course). I use it before all others pedal and Jmp-1.
It sounds really good. It is the best wha for me.
The problem is the potentiometer. In 5 years i have changed two times the potentiometer because is bad. It scrapes. And it is expensive.

It's easy to use just like all of the dunlop wahs. You push the button and it's a wah, you leave it off, it's a volume. Cool little LED lets you know that the wah is on. How hard is that?

The wah side sounds great. It's classic crybaby wah. I'm just running it in line with a line 6 pod and it works great. I don't ever use the volume boost. I just don't really have a need for it.
Warning on the volume side. If want a good volume pedal for doing swell effects or mixing 2 chanels, do not get this. I personaly think that volume side of it is horrible. If you want something just for the purpose of turning the volume all the way up or all the way down, then it's ok. The problem is that the swell rate is exponentail. What I mean by that is that it gets louder really fast, and then in the last 1/2 inch or so of travel, there is really no change at all. The major change in volume level probably occurs durring the middle 15% of total pedal travel. I'm going to sell the one that I got and buy a separate volume pedal.

The company is great (although I couldn't find a phone number). I exchanged several email messages with the service guy Jason Ocampo asking about changing do a different potentiometer that has a linear taper on the volume side instead of an audio taper in order to try to spread out the swell on the volume side. He was extremely helpfull and answered all of my questions in a friendly matter. Don't expect speed though. Expect to wait a 2 or 3 days for a response, but they always respond.
As as side note on the pot issue, he said that a linear taper pot would work, but here is the problem. The wah uses a stacked potentiometer (2 potentiometers, one on top of the other) that share a commmon shaft. This is a custom part that is made for them by a company called Clarostat, so it's not an issue of just ordering another pot. You would have to call Clarostat and get them to custom make you one piece. I've worked in high volume manufacturing and I can go ahead and tell you, they are most likely not going to do an entire setup just to run 1 piece and if they will, it will probably cost you a pretty good bit.

Overall it's good. Like I said, the volume side sucks, in my opinion for what I'm trying to do. Basically I have a G&L ASAT Classic with a GraphTech F.A.A.S. acoustic system in it and I wanted to save some money and just buy one pedal instead of having to buy a volume and a wah. I wanted to use the volume pedal to blend in some electric guitar when with the acoustic when I was running both at the same time. I think I'm just going to spring for the Ernie Ball stereo pedal and a Crybaby 95Q wah. That seem sto be the way to go for me.
If it got lost or stolen, I would buy something else. I don't really like this thing for what I do. I think it is a great idea but the prodcut

I play hard rock. This was a replacement for my original Crybaby. I use this with a Strat/Marshall setup. Thsi thing is a tank. The only thing is the lead boost is a novelty ' makes a lot of noise when on. Also this button fell out one time, never has since I put it back on!!? So much better than Morley products. May have to replace the pots in its lifetime.

Hamer Mirage II->Blackstone->Dyna Comp->Fulldrive 2->Boss Octave->Mr. Crybaby Super->Boss DD-5->Lee Jackson Booster->BBE 442->Fender Quad Reverb.
I've had this pedal for about a year now, and can recognize now that it wasn't the best choice in a wah pedal. It's not true bypassed, so it does add a bit of color (unwanted) as well as noise to my signal (especially with the overdrives on).
The high end (toe down) position really screeches--so much so that it can be very very unpleasant add louder volumes. The low end (toe up) becomes rather muddy, making anything you play indistinguishable. The mid range is the best for this pedal, and there is a definite break between the low and high end (sounds like switching from singing low notes to singing in falsetto). I have also noticed (as others before have) that strange things happen to my volume when I engage the wah. Sometimes there's a boost, sometimes a drop, sometimes nothing at all.
The volume pedal side of this unit is not so great either, like the wah, there is a break in the volume sweep as well. There seems to be a large dead spot when I start a volume swell, followed by a sudden jump in the volume by a significant degree. In other words, the taper is not very good. Its hard to tell when and how loud the note will sound. I also eventually took off the both the boost engage button and its knob because my foot would accidently hit both, causing me alot of frustration.
All in all this unit is "decent". If you are serious about getting good reliable equipment that isn't wal-mart grade, and serious about protecting your tone, don't buy dunlop. There stuff is shipped off to mexico and made with cheap parts; this is mass-produced equipment we're talking about here.

Not very reliable. I've only had it for about a year and already the pot is causing me pain. Towards the low end (toe up) position a horrible screech and distortion takes place now. I am certain that I did not cause this because I am extremely careful with my equipment (I don't understand people who trash all of there stuff in the name of rock n roll...I suppose they have more money than I), and I don't use the pedal all that much (only for wah-appropriate songs, which aren't many for me).
Again, bottom line, research your equipment before you buy. Hecho en mexico? I don't think so.
Save up the few extra bucks to get something decent. I'm going to start checking out higher-end wahs, starting with the Fulltone Clyde.
$300, but hey, if it sounds good, has true bypass, and will actually last for awhile, I'll save up.

Again, buy equipment based on how serious a player you are.

Very easy to use, tap down on the toe and turn the wah on and off, when the wah is off, it's a volume pedal. It has a small red side switch to give a volume boost for solos and a side knob to control the amount of volume boost. A monkey can figure it out.

The volume pedal works fine and sounds fine. The volume boost works and sounds fine. The wah has two problems that really annoys me and is the main reason for the lost points.
First, Overall, the wah tone sounds pretty good, better than other Crybabys I've tested. However, it is a little on the weak side and really doesn't seem to cut into distortion very well. It wahs fine on low levels of gain, but the more gain you add, the less wah you seem to hear. You just can't get that Jimi Hendrix fuzzy wah sound out of it, because the wah is cut by the fuzz so much. It's like the wah is more of an EQ pedal with high gain, but not a wah...though, again, it does sound good with less gain.
Second, the other problem I have with the wah is that it boosts your volume up when you kick it in. I suppose they expect that you're only going to use wah in a solo and the boost is good than, but I find it very annoying, especially when playing clean.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot...the toe tap to switch the wah on and off is very sensitive on mine and it's very easy to accidently kick the wah off in the toe position (or kick it in during a volume swell). I'm sure that's pretty easy to fix though, and I've talked to few other people who have the same pedal who didn't have that problem.
As a volume pedal with a boost switch, I probably would have given it an 9 and as a wah I'd rate it as a 5, when you combine the two you get 7, but I took an extra point because I think more people are interested in the wah than the volume.

I got mine used off of Ebay and the toe tap to switch the wah on and off is very sensitive on mine and it's very easy to accidently kick the wah off in the toe position (or kick it in during a volume swell). I've talked to few other people who have the same pedal who didn't have that problem, so I assume it's gotten worn on mine. I'm sure it isn't hard to fix though, but there is a lost point because of that (I won't take off more than one point because I don't know how long the previous owner had it and how he treated it.) The case seems very sturdy and I think I'd trust it without back up.

I went ahead and gave it a 7 overall...Considering the wah, I actually think it deserves and overall of 6.5, but since it does act good as a volume pedal and for a solo boost I went ahead and rounded up instead of down.

It's a Wah/Volume combination. Engage the switch for wah, otherwise it's a volume control. There's a boost switch on the side of the wah that I can't get to when it's mounted in my pedal board, so it doesn't get used. What's annoying is that when power is applied to the pedal, it automatically comes up in boost mode, and I have do engage and then disengage the boost. I'll give a 6, since sometimes I still forget to do that.

This is a very weak sounding wah. I've been playing for 17 years, but never owned a wah, and got taken in by the versatility of the wah/volume/boost combination. The throw is not adequate for either the wah or the volume, and I never use the boost. Maybe I should, because the volume drops when the wah is engaged. Save your money and buy a good wah! I play through a variety of guitars. My Tom Anderson DropTop is my main instrument, but I also have a Strat equipped with EMG SA1's, a 50th Anniversary Tele, and a '78 Les Paul Pro Deluxe with P-90's. I play mainly through a Crate VC3112. (Class A 30 watt tube amp)

I play in a classic rock/blues band. Needed a wah to play White Room and some Hendrix. I wish I'd tried out more before buying this one. Right now I'm about ready to trade this one in on a Fulltone Clyde (unless I can find a vintage Vox V846 first!). If it were stolen or lost, I'd probably have an easier time convincing my wife that I need the Clyde!

Using The Mr Crybaby Wah/Volume couldn't be easier; push the pedal down until it clicks, the red light switches on and then start wahing. The volume pedal is even easier to use; rock the pedal back and forth. The volume boost is also a great feature; eg. when you're playing a gig and you need that extra bit of oomph to get the intensity across...it's there!

The setup I'm using is a Big Apple Fender Strat with dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers (Awesome guitar) and also a Fender Jagstang (designed by Kurt Cobain)...not the greatest of guitars but thats a different story, and a 65V Marshall amp. My expectation may have been a bit high when I got this pedal, the wah isn't as great as I thought it would be but I haven't found a wah pedal that has completely fufilled my needs. I've found it hard finding the right place for the pedal; before or after my DOD FX50-B distortion pedal (Sweet pedal)/DOD tech 8 (S#IT pedal) It can recreate the sounds of Hendrix, Clapton, Gilmour etc but I try and find my own sound instead of ripping someone elses off. It sounds great running through my distortion pedal.

I'd buy another if it was stolen or lost. The whole pedal is an absolute credit to guitar pedals the volume pedal is the best I've used as is the wah and the volume boost is priceless. I compared this to the Jimi Hendrix wah. I took this one because it had the volume boost and volume pedal, plus the wah is a better quality on this model.

I think I heard a person say, easy to start with, hard to master. This is true. I haven't quite mastered this thing yet. It is hard to change from a wah sound to a clean sound quickly, but it is fast anyway. I haven't found the best place for it yet. I have switched it, between before the distortion, and after. I bought the optional adaptor, which I recommend, because you have to unscrew it to get to the battery.
Sound Quality
:

Again I haven't mastered it yet, so I am not very sure. You have to adjust the Eq, and the distortion to get the right sound. The wah seems a little bit less than expected, but still better than the effects processor wah that I had before. The volume pedal is awesome, the best I have ever used. The volume boost is a great feature, though when you are using the volume, it still clogs your signal like the wah does. Very crisp elevation in volume though

When I got it out of the box, it weighed a ton. It is a heavy heavy rubber like substance. I think if I threw it at someone, they would be dead on the spot. I would suggest this thing for a lady musician, doing late night gigs. After the show, bag up all your stuff, but carry your wah pedal out to the car. If some rapist comes up to you, wam him in the head, you'll knock him right out. Anywah, LOL, it is the sturdiest piece of equipement I have, and it would hold up. There is of course wear and tear. Wah pedals do not last forever, so after a couple of years, I will probably get a backup

i don't use wah all the time. I am into rock, and blues, so it does come in handy, but not for everything. I think that is the reason why I got the one with the volume pedal. The volume pedal is so practical, and I use that even more, so it all comes together. It will be in my rig for a time to come. If you use wah a lot, get something more expensive and better. Whether its a Vox, or a Budda, a Clyde, or even a higher priced Crybaby. I got it for casual use, and if that is how much you use a wah pedal, this is for you. If you use a volume pedal a lot, I suggest you buy this pedal. Because say you use a volume a lot, and you don't own a wah pedal. You get two-in-one, right there.
