No different than dialing in your favorite radio station. Find the settings you like (speed, volume and intensity) and leave it alone. I bought the optional foot controller and had a problem with the patch cord hook up. Hey everybody, you have to use a stereo one between the main unit and the foot controller. There is only one short sentence buried in the foot control instruction sheet to tell you this and I overlooked it. Don't make that mistake or you will think your unit is not working right.

The only true Leslie effect unit outside of an amp on the market today. All the others (Voodoo Vibe and Prescription Electronics) are imitations. Chalk one of for Dunlop! My unit is really quiet.

I have had it for two months now but practice everyday and take it to my weekend gigs with no problem. I do not carry a backup but have never had a problem with the quality of Dunlop products.

I had to call about the patch cord problem I had. I think I talked to the head of production. Whoever it was he was pretty cool and very helpful. Easy folk to speak with.

Except for the patch cord confusion this is a great product. I am a long time player and have herd the original Univibe made in the 70's. This Dunlop unit is better than the original! I would buy another one and I am recomending them to everyone that asks.

The Uni-Vibe is extremely easy to use, as are most "stomp-boxes"

The Uni-Vibe is probably one of the most quiet effects of this type that I have ever heard. Also, it doesn't appear to muddy up your tone when bypassed.

This pedal is great! I would definitely buy it again. It sucessfully recreates the Hendrix/Trower tone that I love. The effect is also relatively subtle, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a dramatic effect. I had the opportunity to compare it side by side to the Prescription Electronics unit, and I thought it sounded cleaner, it was $150 less, you can add a pedal controller like the original, and it was made more rugged. This effects tone seems very authentic.

Pretty basic; three knobs, two footswitches.

It has a very good sound, seems to have a clean signal, and you can vary the amount of the effect greatly using the volume, speed, and intensity knobs. That's one reason I prefer it to my Rotovibe, which always seemed to be just a little bit too dry of an effect whereas this Univibe reissue can get very wet.

Seems to be built pretty solid, all metal knobs, housing, and switches. I've only used it live a few times so far and have had no problems yet.

I'd buy it again. I prefer it to my Rotovibe which this replaces. I checked out some "boutique" Univibes but I couldn't really tell what I'd get. I suppose only the really anally-retentive purist wouldn't be happy with this Univibe reissue.
Univibe's are probably the most over-hyped and expensive re-issued pedal by the various "boutique" manufacturers. All I ask of it is a good swooshy quasi-Leslie speaker old-Hendrix kind of sound, and this unit delivers.

To tell you the truth i was very disapointed with the Dunlop Uni-Vibe. Three knobs, intensity, volume and speed. this unit doesn't come alive until you put speed up to at least 4 or 5, even then you don't get that great of an effect going. The two switches, Chorus/Vibrato and Effects/Bypass. The effects/bypass switch just turns it off and on, the chorus on the uni-vibe is nothing great. and the vibrato is not to special either. This unit comes with an adapter but you have to let the unit warm up for a couple of minutes in cold weather.

Once again it sounds ok. its nothing great the chorus and vibratto are very lame.

its very very sturdy, you could throw it against the wall and it would still work

i would never buy this pedal again, in fact i returned it cuz it just wasn't doing it for me. your better off getting the dunlp rotovibe in my opinion, the chours on the rotovibe is very thick and juicy, were as the univibes chorus is very dull. same goes for the vibrato. this pedal is just not worth it.
