My setup is: Suhr classic strat, Blade strat with Fender vintage pickups and PRS custom (88'), Vox wah, Ibanez tubescreamer reissue (analogman silvermod), CAE 3+SE, Moogerfooger Mf104sd analog super delay, DynoMyPiano tristereo chorus 618, VHT two fifty, Marshall handwired 2x12 (Celestion G30H)
Is it noisy? Well Fulltone who is working on a tristereoreissue talks about "hiss" on his homepage. I understands what he mean, but if the signalchain is O.K. I don't think this is a big problem.
It sounds awesome on both clean and overdriven/distorted sounds. It sounds of course superior to the boxes mentioned under and of course all the digital clones...
It has a lovely liquid chorus sound that no other boxes will do.
I bought this for several reasons. I've always loved the sound of famous players like Dann Huff, Mike Landau, Steve Lukather, but wasn't aware that they all used this unknown little piece of gear. I think it have been an important tool for their sound in the eighties.
Now I can enjoy the same sound (I think the CAE 3+Se preamp also contributes)
I've searched many boxes, and I have quite an extensive collection of chorus boxes at home, I can mention Boss Ce-1, Boss Ce-2, Ibanez Cs-9, Ibanez Cs-505, Ibanez Rc99, TC1210 and Arion Sch-1. So what do you think? I love this box.

Hm... this is a hard one...
Well, if the Fulltone reissue will be a good clone, maybe I'll buy that one and keep the other in the studio.

If it will need repair I think it could be done.

I play all kinds of music except heavy-rock and hip-hop. I think this is useable for all styles, it depends on how you use it.
Iv've played guitar since 10 years old.
Some people ask me how it compares to the TC1210. They're different. I will keep them both. The Tristereo is more liquid, the TC1210 more hifi maybe.
Before I bought it I saw that Fulltone was working on a reiusse. That's cool. I hope he will succeed, but I think Fulltone will have a hard time recreating the unit.
These boxes are quite rare, I think mine is the only one here in Scandinavia. (People haven't heard of it here)
I was lucky enough to get one here in Norway, I bought it from some of the gentlemens in "www.vintagebua.no"
Something I like with this box: it looks quite innocent, and mine isn't just "mint", but it sounds fantastic!
I would like to hear from other users of this box if they have some tips or something interesting to tell.

ANALOG BLISS. If you are a fan of thick stereo analog chorus sounds, nothing beats the Dyno. I have played though a popular pedal that uses "digital modeling" to try to emulate the Dyno-My-Piano's sound and it's not even close by any stretch of the imagination. You simply can't get as rich and true a sound through a few chips.
No matter where you set the Dyno, it sounds great, especially in stereo. (Think "liquid but defined" not a "drier" sound like a CE-1 which is cool in it's own right) When I run it mono, it sounds really good too. From a slight waver to a full blown wacked chorus sound and everything in between, this thing does it all.

I bought this from a young wanna-be Nashville session guy who has since long moved away. It worked but he didn't like the sound of it... so I took it to a repairman who checked it over found one tiny part that needed replacing; that fixed everything. It has given me years of trouble free operation.

Almost every other piece of rack gear I've ever bought through the years has fallen in value. This has been the best investment of a rack unit I've ever made considering what they are worth now. This is truly a rare, timeless piece of gear. From the incredible sound, thoughful design and versatility to the retro flying piano keys logo, it rocks.

The Tri Stereo chorus is the best chorus unit ever made in my opinon and one of the rarest guitar / studio rack units ever made.It is very easy to get a good sound out of it. I own the Songbird 1380 S Tri Stereo Chorus, 1 rack space made in the early 80's but all the models of the Tri are the same in terms of look, sound and design. The only thing different on the various models of the Tri are the logos, mine has a birds head, some have flying piano keys and the Dytronics Tri has a lightning bolt.

The Sound Quality of the Tri Stereo Chorus is amazing, no other unit can even touch the sound of the chorus this unit produces. Its like liquid, very thick. It features on the front panel 4 knobs, 3 of them are to control the 3 chorus's left, center, Right the 4th knob is for the rate. There are 5 push bottons also on the front a db pad button, a Effect on and off button, a Stereo Button and a Manual button and also a preset button. The preset button cancels the knobs and gives the unit it preset capibilty. The manual button turns the knobs back on and you can make your own sounds with the 3 chorus's and the rate knob. Also there are two huge LED meters on the front, they are yellow. This chorus was and still is the main chorus for session players like, Michael landau, Paul Pesco, Dann Huff, Tim Pierce etc.. and is used in countless studios and has been heard on many many records over the years. No other chorus unit comes close.

The best rackmount chorus ever made period. This unit is a classic and much sought after piece. If you can find a Tri get it, because it will be along time before you see another one, these units dont come along very often.
