Ease of Use : 10
This pedal is incredebly easy to use with just 3 dials to mess with. All of which have a substantial influence on the sound.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a Fender fat strat with a humbucker in the bridge through various amps in the studio. The pedal seems to prefer the single coils when it comes to tone however, those of you who rely on your power chords may require a humbucker. but this may be just on my guitar, this pedal is fantastically versatile.
Like all distortion pedals, cranking up the distortion knob will cause hiss, but this is no bother to me. It's not even worth mentioning to be quite honest.
In my eyes the pedal brought new life into my equipment and i had never come across a domestic distortion effect with so much BALLS! Whislt investigating the pedal it stressed on its brilliant deep, low tones. I took this the wrong way and beleived it to be a metal-heads pedal, however, it beautifully contrasts with sparkly highs.

Reliability : 8
it's built like a tank, im slightly concerned about the actual switch itself, but im sure with handbuilt European quality, it'll do just fine.

Havnt needed to call them so far.

I decided i could do with a valve amp, and trying to get valve amps with two channels will be twice the price, this is why i decided on the pedal. Upon looking at the market, it seems companies only care for metal-heads or boring, crackly Oasis types. I play alternative/pop punk and i bought the pedal irresponsibly with a blind eye. However, i couldnt get over how unbeleivable the type of distortion was, ive honestly never heard such a sound like this. It's growly but the mids still shine through. And for all you vintage punks out there, this pedal still provides.
Because of the versatility of this pedal i was able to dial in the exact sound that i was looking for. In a quandry about which pedal to buy? i suggest you definately give the Music Drive a go. Prepare yourself.
If it were stolen, i'd be running to the music shop to get another without doubt.

Very simple, has only 3 knobs (Distortion, Tone, Volume) - takes less than a minute to set up sound.

Sound Quality : 10
I do mainly use Strats or Les Pauls; the Music Dive, Boss OD-3 or TS-808, Boss CE-1; several Marshall Heads (non Master-Volume).
The Music Dive is a distortion pedal - and in my opinion, it's THE distortion pedal, that I've been searching for: It delivers a great tone, long sustain and smooth and warm distortion. But the Music Divea range is wider, you can get really sharp distortion-sounds (hard-edge ones) - depends on what you prefer. I use it as a booster for the lead-parts - woks great. Is it noisy? ALL distortion or overdrive pedals are a bit noisy, when they are turned up to the max - it's the same with the Dive, but no real problem. I did formerly use the wellknown MXR or the ProCo Rat, but I think, the Music Dive sounds even better and features a wider range of sounds.

Reliability : 10
Just like any other good pedal - solid as a rock!

Never got to deal with them yet.

The Music Dive is a handmade boutique-effect from Berlin,Germany. Of course it's more expensive than a Boss or Ibanez, but I guess, you would also not compare a Volkswagen with a Mercedes Benz. It looks really nice, sounds pretty cool - what else do you want?! I do mainly play traditional 70s hardrock and I've been searching for the right kind of distortion for a long time - my search is over now! THANKS to Dytone!
