Excellent machine I have had this one for 2 years and have had no problems with it. Very easy to operate, nice sounds. Records audio very nicely.Manuals are well written and easy to follow.I have nevey tried to permently edit patches but have experminted, easy to do and easy to screw up an all ready good sound.

I used this machine for playing backing track from my laptop. as stated earlier I have even used it to record vocals and guitars into Cakewalk. really simple to use excellent. good clean sound recently I added an Aphex 204 and a 31 band graphic eq to help round out the bottom end. The preset sound and effects are really good the guitar sounds super Vocal effect in the machine has too much echo. that can be fixed but I haven't had time to wotk on that aspect yet. I paly country and the steel guitar and country slide are a little weak sounding. all else are excelent. Hey I ain't getting any kick back for bragging this thing up.

I have had this for two years and it has not let me down at all. very reliable just plug it in and go!

The only time I dealt with the help from customer support was when I was in the process of deciding to buy which or what sound canvas I sent questions to all the CS people related to the machines I was looking at at that time. and Edirol came back first and they were very helpfull which led to the purchase of the SD-90. After I got it every thing the support people that help told the truth and the machine worked perfectly.

I play country and of course old rock & roll. I like the machine it sounds great. I've been playing for about 15 - 20 years started out with a Bass and 2 guitars and a drum machine then went to full band with drummer added. now due to club size has gottem alot smaller and the $ are not as good. so know I play a one piece with all midi backing tracks. I would rather have a full band again but would not have any places to fit it in. If I lost this thing I would probably get another one or one similar. if you want to have a good quality sound out of a box this is it.
