There are 4 knobs, 2 stompswitches, 2 little hand switches, and no manual. This makes for the possibility of some confusion but it is not that complicated once you start playing with it. There is a definite learning curve for the pedal but it doesn't take very long if you just have some sense and patience...

The base fuzz sound is so fat, so thick, so fuzzy. I've read Devi Ever pedals are "quadruple silicon transistors" so there is lots and lots of gain. This is a mean fuzz, it has so much balls! That's why I love it. There are times when you want an NKT 275 germanium fuzz, and then there are times when you want this quadruple silicon beast. I'm using an American Fender Standard Strat with '69 custom shop pickups and a Trace Elliot Super Tramp amp. My other effects are currently a digitech synth wah and a Geoffry Teese Wizard wah. The Rocket is so completely, surprisingly silent when you're not playing. It's amazing to have a pedal with so much gain be so quiet!

Oh yeah. This isn't exactly pristine sound quality. But it deserves a 10 for being a ballsy, fat fat fuzz.

It also has 2 tremelo modes, one of which responds based on your pick attack. This is awesome.

Reliability : 10
The pedal is built like a tank (to use a too-often-used expression). It looks very solid and just emenates awesomeness.

I have contacted Devi Ever about many things in the past and he is always courteous and informative. I've never tried contacting someone from Boss or a big manufacturer like that, but I get the feeling that dealing with Devi is much more personal. A thing you will see a lot if you spend some time in the Devi Ever USA forums is "fuzz love". There is a reason for this...

I play rock music. That's a huge genre, and it includes a lot of good music, and a lot of crap. I would like to think I listen to and play the good kind. Muse, Mars Volta, Radiohead, The Strokes, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, the Doors, sooo many more=Good kind.

Nickelback, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco=Crap.

Like I said, sometimes you want a nice germanium fuzz, but for really high gain, fuuuuzzzzzy love, Smashing pumpkins-esque balls out rocking, this pedal is perfect. The base fuzz alone is awesome, then it has the tremelo mode which is a unique creative cool and has become a new love of mine.

Hmm, it is a little expensive, but worth every penny! If it were lost or stolen I would definitely buy another one.

This is the new version with 2 toggle switches.

This is a crazy pedal. It is kind of hard to figure out what it does at first. There is no manual with it, but if you Email Devi, any answers you have will be answered.

Sound Quality : 10
This pedal is awsome. It has a very big thick fuzz sound. The left footswitch controls a second fuzz mode. With the toggle switches in the off position, it is an out of control fuzz thats like nothing else. One toggle controls the tremolo mode for this side. the other toggle only works in tremolo mode and creates a different type of tremolo. It is a VERY inique and awsome sound. The trem can be set anywhere from a really cool trem thats speed is controlled by the volume or strength of the imput to a ringmod type trem. It has all the sounds of a Soda Meiser and then some. Its really interesting if you boost it also. The boost makes it react different in the trem mode and you can get some really cool sounds.

Its also very quiet. For a heavy thick fuzz pedal its abnormally quiet. It also sounds great with any kind of guitar and it doesnt matter where you put it in the chain.

Reliability : 10
Never had a problem with any E13 product. I do use it without a backup.

I have been playing for 18 yars and have gone through all kind of stuff. This is a truelly innovatove pedal and its here to stay. It doesnt really compare to anything else. The base fuzz sound is similar to a soda meiser.
