This is a rack mount delay. No manual. Very easy to get a good sound out of it but took a few minutes to really understand to get it to do what i wanted it to do. There are five separate pedals you can hook up to change the settings, which are, respectively: turn the delay, modulation, feedbacks, and the hold function on and off and one wah style pedal to sweep the delay time.

I use it with a Gibson SG and a Sundown Rebel 100, and various other effects. It is a little noisy, but it sounds wonderful. The repeats decrease in quality like a tape delay. Turn the feedback all the way up and just let it go. Engage the hold function and sweep the delay time and the repeat either speeds up or slows down like an analog delay. I can get some really wierd sounding stuff with the modulation depth all the way up, the speed down and and longer delay with quite a few repeats. I can get good delay, flange, chorus, and vibrato sounds with it. The effects can be subtle or very dramatic depending on what you want. All the controls allow you to be extremely cerative with this effect, and you can tweak most of the controls with footpedals. Which is nice for live and practice.

I've only had it for couple weeks but it seems tough enough. I would have to gig with it and no back-up because finding another one would be impossible.

I love this effect. Well worth $50. Well worth $150. I play psychedelic type stuff and it is perfect. If it were stolen I would definately try to find another one. I havent been able to not play with it after I got it. I also have a Boss Pitch Shifter/Delay which is kinda similar as far as the modulated delays go although the Boss maybe easier to use,the Electra is much more tweakable.
