WAY TOO EASY!!!!!!! EXPERIMENT_EXPERIMENT

Sound Quality : 10
I have (and don'y use now) a colorsound octivider- MXR blue box and they are permanently retired to this pedal!!!!!!! I own too many E-H effects, but this is by far one of my favs!!! The octave down is insane, and the added fuzz switch takes things over the edge!!! I've used it w/ single coils - P 90's - and humbuckers and it responds well to all!!!!!!!!! If you don't want yours I'll take it!!!!!!!!!!

Reliability : 8
I buy all my stuff usualy broken (switches, IC's etc). Theese pedals work untill you break them, and when you do they are easy to fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer Support : 10
I've had no problems so far. If they don't make it now they won't repair it. But, They will suggest someone who can!!! I needed a small stone schem and they sent it to me free!!!! Give them a call -- It's more affective!!!!!

Overall Rating : 10
If you find one BUY THE DAMNED THING!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEN COMPARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine is the 5-knob version and it is pretty simple to get a basic meaty fuzz tone out of it.However,it has taken me a few months to really discover it's unique properties. No EH user should care about manuals. The controls are..sensitivity...fuzz...sub-octave...tone... blend

Sound Quality : 9
When I purchased it,I was playing a Les Paul through it..into a Fender Twin Reverb...I bought it.I don't even discuss the amp that I own.But I'm playing a strat and I think my favorite setup right now involves a Mole Bass Booster BEFORE the pedal. When using only the sub-octave it really produces a beatiful bass tone. With the fuzz going,it really gives it balls{I tend to get fatigued by treble}.I sometimes add a crybaby {again}before. It does sound great with a Polychorus but I generally dislike time delay effects with distortion{the sub-octave alone is a different story}. It's noisy and so what?

Reliability : 10
It's older than I am and I might crap out first. If it died I would just overdrive a tube amp for a different dirt. I've never had any fear of it even sneezing.

My style ranges from folk blues to electronic art music and this certainly falls within those parameters.I wouldn't use it with my semi-hollow 12-string or my theremin{maybe trumpet}so it's use is somewhat limited. But the world of solid-bodied 6-strings is now a better one for me.I doubt I'll ever be confronted with the opportunity to buy another one so I haven't even wondered if I would.I think the richness and integrity of tone quality sets it apart from similar products{I tried it next to a sovtek big muff and I wanted to rip my teeth out}.I wish it was easier to get a low and mid-rangy clipping sound with out other filters in the chain. But I'll probably appreciate it's other attributes later.

This is a late seventies octave divider. Has controls for the tone, low octave, direct signal, and a slight fuzz effect too. Has AC power cable and in/effect out/ and direct out jacks.

Sound Quality : 8
A little bit noisy, but most EH pedals are. The tracking of the lower octave tone is surprisingly good for a seventies pedal. Tracking is best higher up on the fingerboard and gets erratic below the 5 or 6th fret. The fuzz tone is a nice touch for mucking things up a bit. The lower octave gives guitars a cool synthy sound thats really cool for progressive rock like King Crimson and Genesis.

Reliability : 7
I have owned several EH pedal over the past few years and the only one that ever had a problem was a Memory Man that had a short and started making bad noise, but was repairable. I trust this will not crap out easily.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Well, the original EH went out of business in 84, but I've received help from the "new EH" New Sensor/Sovtek concerning old pedals and the new ones too.

Overall Rating : 7
I would probably buy it again for a lower price. It's cool for progressive rock or grungy type sounds but not a lot more.
