This is incredibly easy to use. There is a Boost switch for on/off and one knob for the gain and volume. At every level it gives good fuzz.

For its size, this is a very powerful unit. It is noisy turned all the way up, but that's how it should be. Combined with good distortion, this thing can give you a great tone. When playing through a chord progression and when you turn it on, it gives a great kick to the distortion. I tried it with bass too, it gave me a low rumbly grind that I thought was great.

It is small and safe, I would be comfortable without using a backup. It is pretty strong like all Electro-Harmonix stuff. This unit is also working the exact same as when it was new, 20 years ago.

I think this pedal is great. It makes my sound great with my distortion (I recommend using it with that). This is totally different from most classic Fuzz pedals, I like it better. The only thing I wish it had was an AC input, I hate to use batteries. I recommend one of these to anyone that plays lots of chords, especially power chords and to bass players that use distortion, go and try one out!
