Lots of fiddling involved here. On one side of the pedal you have a presence knob which subtracts the amount of presence only,a bass switch which gives a hefty oomf to the bottom end,and high and low range switches. Theses switches are subtle but seem to alter the sweep range with a little more treble or bass. I found the wah sounds best with these on, but playing around for the right sound is necessary. The auto-wah o nthe other side of the peddle is tricky to use as it is interactive with the manual wah. On its own, the auto-wah is not that useful, but with the manual wah combined you can get some really cool sounds. There are two sweep settings with one far too bassy to be ptacticle. The other is quite useful as a standard wah.You can also adjust the 'q' and dial in some more user friendly wah sounds. As long as you know your knobs and switches you can use this unit live, but I think the studio might be best suited for it.

There are some great sounds to be had here. I have not used it combined with the auto-wah that much but as a standard wah, it produces a smooth, long-ranged wah with a very long sweep. Extremely quiet. I use it with an ac-30 and les paul/strat combo and this works perfectly. Not as much mids as my colorsound and foxx wahs which I much prefer. The auto-wah is quite good, sounding a bit like a doctor q but without the trebley swoosh. You also have to have a bit harder pick attack.

Built like a brick s*it-house, you have little to worry about.

I think this pedal is way overpriced and over-hyped. It does have some great sounds but the auto-wah in combination with a manual wah is a crazy idea which obviously never really caught on. Some of the wah sounds are really liquid and watery like, but there is a bit of effort involved with dialling them up.I much prefer a wah that you stand on and its instantly sounds great(like my foxx wah/vol). If you are a Hendrix fan or just like a cool wah, you can do a lot better with other wahs.
