Three knobs, one switch. gain, volume and tone controls as well as vintage/modern switch. True by-pass. Booteek stompbox format. If you can't use this, don't play anything.

Alrighty, good part! I am literally in love with this pedal. I play a couple of stingrays, a musicman, an american Fender Jazz and a Jazz V active, SX P-bass copy to mesa 400+ with 1x15 and 2x12 extension cabinets. I have various pedals, mostly booteek and a couple of mass manufactured brands. I have nothing against boss or Ibanez, but I prefer true by-pass.
Anyhow.. I also bought a used Zvex woolly mamooth rigth around the time I ordered this one. First I tried the mamooth, to be frank I thought it would be better since I paid more than twice. I liked the mamooth. Then I plugged MessDrive Hybrid and WOOOW!!! After 10 min.s of playing, I find myself jumping around like a mad man! It is more alive and much more organic compared to mamooth, it has a nice personality to it. I actually felt like playing a bass. It growls like one. Thight!
I tried maybe 20 distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals and this one is one of the silent ones. tone control is effective, but the range is not that wide. But then again, all of the rotation is usable.

Full metal jacket, can definitely take the hit. I wouldn't need a back up, but I will buy another one in near future, just to have a spare one in case it is stolen or something.

I generally play active basses and my current band is a mixture of latino music in general and alternative rock. I buy in a heartbeat if it was stolen. I do like the modern channel and don't use the vintage channel. The LED is bright green. They have a website that you can hear the samples and actually see the knob positions while hearing.
I like this pedal!
