No manual, but it's not needed. Volume, Tone and Gain knobs. Two switches for smooth/clean and Bass OD. VERY versatile overdrive pedal, love love love it.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a '78 strat w/ EMG pickups, lots of other pedals. I have encountered a little bit of noise with this pedal, but I'm looking into my cables. I love the sound, you can get great variations if you play with this pedal a bit. Makes it easy to hit partial harmonics if you have this and a fuzz pedal or big muff turned on.

Reliability : 10
Heavy duty pedals from ElectroniX.

These guys are responsive and very reasonable if you have any problems with their products. They exchanged a different pedal for me without even batting an eye. All it cost me to exchange was the $6 shipping back to them (they paid for the return shipping).

Overall Rating : 10
Great Overdrive pedal. I'm pretty sure my noise issues are in my cables, but if not the only time it was an issue was maxing out 5-6 effects at the same time.

It's simple analog pedal with some extra switches. It doesn't come with a manual, I don't see anyone would need one. Actually mine says USDrive (not USTDrive), but logo has a "T" like stuff in the middle. previous reviewer may have mistaken it with a T. AND USDrive makes more sense :-)

Sound Quality : 10
My intention was using this pedal for my classic rock rig (Gibson Studio with BB, fender ori. champ, weber speaker load, ada microcab and crown power amp). It works pretty well with the setup, especially I really like bright-open sound of it compared to tube screamer. It can also do the nasal tube screamer thing if you roll the tone control somewhere close to 3/4. It has more distortion available, which is almost always a good.

The switch labeled as foc./smo. is actually a sym./assym. clipping switch, a pretty common mod done by american pedal makers. I leave it at focus position. Ultrabass gives a bass boost as intended, but do not fatten the sound. I don't know how to describe what it does. It sounds like it adds a **** load of lower harmonics and some britle 2nd octave harmonics. The position of the switch lets you think it is associated with tone knob, but it sure is something different.

I tried it before an overdrived amp and I was blown two blocks away! THIS IS IT!, I said. It brought out what was missing of my tone, liveliness. Every single note was ready to jump out of my amp, especially with crunchy riffs and classic solos. I am not an authority of classic rock and pop rock (GNR, AC/DC, rolling stones. and more recent 3 doors down) being more of a hippie, but this pedal delivered.

Reliability : No Opinion
It has been only a week, but the paint job is well done. I looked inside (not that I would know what to look, but I always do that out of curiosity) and everything was assembled air tight. More pedals should come like this... Packing a lot of heat in such a small enclosure.

The reason I write this review. These guys represent the new face of American pedal business. They are knowledgable, nice and more importantly MUSICIANs. Not some jokers from what I understand who downloads schematics or hacks vintage pedals. They replied all of my 10 plus messages with courtesy and no bull****. They answered exactly what I asked about.

I hate it when I bounce between "customer support department", "technical support department" and "sales department" of big name companies.

Overall Rating : 10
I was hoping for a tube screamer with better built quality made by American people (gotta keep the money inside, especially these days). USDrive met all my expectations and much more! Not only I have what I asked for, but I also get pedal with many different possiblities. I can dial in what I want in seconds after I get to know the pedal. I am going to get another USDrive to put on my smaller board. I never take two pedalboards to a gig, so if it were stolen I will just use the other one until my replacement comes.

looks like a tube screamer--it can go there--but then it has other abilities. the smooth & focus switch i think plays with the mids. then you have the bass boost--for me, this adds alot of tonal applications. great for single coils, but for humbuckers, for me it gives a touch of a fuzz effect yet still retaining some overdrive qualities. i think of it as a baby fuzz. where a fuzz effect is just that, the ust drive isn't so blistering--you still have a sense of the chords when you back off the volume. then turn up for a lead--& you get fat in the good way. this may have not been the intention by the electronix guys, but i'm glad i found this drive

Sound Quality : 10
i like the effect. especially since it gives a hint of fuzz in the bass boost mode. it drives fine. i use a 2x12 jbl cabinet. real clean. divided by 13 ftr 37. no noise. this effect for me gives me a tone that you would get if you combined drive effects--i don't do that. but the ust drive sounds like that boosted. kind of cool. not too boomy. i say check one out--it's $109.00 on their ebay store.

Reliability : 10
i've had it a month. just don't beat on any pedal. it should hold up. i have an mjm brit bender--a very good fuzz. it really punches you with humbuckers--fantastic with a strat. the ust drive gives just a hint of fuzz boosted--a good in between fuzz tone. i like using les pauls for the most part, so the ust drive works for me. sounds good when i play "fool for your stockings"--sounds somewhat like zz tops live version--a bit clearer--gibbons loves fuzz's with the tops old stuff.

quick service from electronix. they are up front with their stuff. they are players--that's why they build effects. just looking for tones like all players. they're smart guys who can build equipment. this one works for me. i came across them on ebay--it has been a good buy.

Overall Rating : 10
i like the "just a hint of fuzz" when boosted with a les paul. this is a drive pedal. usa made. i have played now for 26 years. live playing & recording. i don't use fuzz too much, but this drive has flexibility. i would miss this effect if stolen. that won't happen. i was surprised with the fuzz ability, because it is not advertised as a fuzz. the boost is a plus. it all depends on how you hit your strings & set the drive.
