Ease of Use : 9
It's a small effect saled for synth, simple to use, no fuss. A one in one out, CV for external control (no midi), 24 dB analogue lowpass filter. No memory, if a setting suits you write it down. As there' s not a lot of controls (input gain, a simple envelope for amplitude, a LFO -depth and speed- for modulating the cutoff, cutoff frequency and resonance) difficult to mess up with. So easy easy thing. After a bit of twidling you have the idea.
Manual comes as a 2 sidse folded A3 page on one the manual for dummies with a small intro to filters, other side is a patch sheet with most settings blank so time to fill them in.

Sound Quality : 8
as it's pure analogue, it's not crystal clear, but noise need to be driven to max with gain to hear it really. As my inputs don't need to be driven louder than the middle position (the input is at synth level) I don't hear the thing.
LFO goes up to 25 Hz, it could have gone higher for me to be in the audible range but for most use it's ok . for price I can't complain. Resonance goes up to self oscillation, a strong one.

Reliability : 8
Pity it's mono, but the company has a stereo one in the pipeline. I use it on my digital synths, it smooth (if you can say that) the sound. it's build in metal case/plastic knobs and the optional bypass can be foot used (all metal). Pots don't feel flimsy, should stand some abuse.

Customer Support : 9
I ordered on the phone, they were friendly enough for me. I don't have a fax to order (got to send the order by fax or phone in) so I called them (in France).

Overall Rating : 9
In my synth set up it provides a diferent filter than the others I use. Not extreme as Sherman, not sweety sounding either. It's maimly on my digital gear, but when I want my MS20 to sound different, less diodishE I play electronica/techno, it's a match. I have it for a week, can't live without, it frees my sherman for doing something else more specific to it. I can leave it alone or mod on the fly. nice.
I'm waiting for the stereo one in the pipeline, but I'll buy it again, can't be beaten for the price. There's a CV in, I've still got to use it once I'll have the good cable (cv in is in minijack). There's a ringmod too and a bypass available now but I bought the filter only
