I was very impressed with the Epiphone EP-DD-90 GAS Series Delay that I picked up off of ebay a while back, very good quality delay for the price. So when I saw this Chorus up for sale, I had to try it out. It is a simple CS-2 style chorus effect, and is nice and quiet. My '83 Ibanez CS-9 was more noisy than this (although that is a great chorus effect, more versatile).
I am running this setup at the moment: Washburn WI-64 Idol Custom -> Pro Tone Kompressor -> Vestax OVD Overdrive (very nice, get it if you can) -> Effector 13 Soda Meiser -> Epiphone CH-70 GAS Chorus -> EHX Small Stone Phaser -> 83 Ibanez FL-9 -> Epiphone DD-90 GAS Digital Delay -> Mesa/Boogie DC-3.
The GAS Chorus is just what I need for a quality low price Chorus effect for the time being. I wish it had a third control for 'res' or 'decay'. It produces minimal noise, and is preferable to chorus pedals such as recent DOD, msome newer Boss and Digitech that I have tried. Why do companies make noisy crap? Of course remember that your pedal power makes a huge difference. I am running a TrippLite IsoBlock isolated filter into OneSpot 9V with daisy chain (which is basically a decent substitue for Voodoo Labs VoodooPower).

This is the weakness of the pedal. It has a cheap plastic casing, the battery panel tends to break (I just never use it, batteries suck). The switch can be hard to engage on stage.
I opened it up to check the jacks and pots and the board is not mounted to anything, although the quality of the components is above average. The board is just held in by a thick paper mount which is pinned to the input jack (weird, but it works).
If these pedals would have been made with MXR style enclosures, they would be worth a lot more these days. Don't judge the book by its cover, but handle the cover with care.

From what I understand, these G.A.S. series pedals are Epiphone's bastard child which they pretty much disowned. There is not any support or info for them. They barely admit they even exist!

I think this beats most Chorus pedals under USD $50.00. Absolutely destroys garbage pedals like Rocktek or Danelectro. I plan to keep it even when I upgrade, to use as a backup that I can trust.
