Ease of Use : 10
It's easy to get a great sound out of it now. I had J. Everman do the true bypass mod on it. He also upgraded the jacks to Switchcrafts and changed the overload light to an on/off LED light.

Sound Quality : 10
I wasn't even using the Memory Man before I sent it off to J. Everman. The buffer just killed my tone, made it shrill and I lost sustain as well. I loved the tone but hated the tone suck when it was off. Now, everything is clear as a bell, even when it's off. It sounds less muddy when it's on as well.

Reliability : 10
I'm sure it will be dependable. The footswitch might go bad someday but that should be easily replaceable.

Customer Support : 10
All my questions and emails were answered promptly. They notified me when it shipped back to me as well. I'm very satisfied.

Overall Rating : 10
If you have an older Memory Man with the buffered footswitch. Don't hesitate to contact J. Everman and get this mod done. The benefits to your tone will be tremendous.

After the true bypass mod, this pedal became so much easier to use. My biggest complaint about the pedal previous to the mod was that EH did not install an effect on/off LED indicator. J. Everman wired the existing power on/off LED to the footswitch, causing it to function as an effect on/off indicator. Now I can finally tell on stage when this effect is engaged or not.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds phenomenal! The difference was immediately detectable. Part of the mod was omitting a capacitor from the pedal that caused the presence and the high end to cut much better.

Reliability : 9
Since I've only had the pedal back a few days, I'll have to see how it stands the test of time. However, I trust J. Everman's workmanship, as there are plenty of people all over the internet community who have used him and had nothing but great results.

Customer Support : 10
J. is incredible with customer support. He answers emails seemingly immediately! His communication was great, as was his professionalism and honesty. I'm sure I'll be giving him more business in the future.

Overall Rating : 10
This mod made a night and day difference in the EH Memory Man. The clarity improved, the LED now functions as an effect on/off indicator, and the overall sound is better. In addition to the true bypass installation, I also had the signal jacks replaced, based on J. Everman's recommendation. Over time, EH's jacks tend to crap out. So, it's like I've got a brand new pedal!

Before I sent this pedal to be modded, there was a power LED but no effect on/off status LED. I requested he change the power LED into an effect status LED (not part of the actual true bypass mod package)along with the true bypass and was shocked when he said the only extra charge would be the few dollars extra that the switch actually cost. GREAT GUY TO DEAL WITH!!!!

Sound Quality : 10
With the Deluxe Memory Man true bypass mod, I can now use it live without it trashing my dry tone...NICE!! Call me crazy but I also think it may have cleaned up the pedal's sound when engaged as well (maybe it just has to do with putting a different switch in there).

Reliability : 10
I've only had it a couple weeks now, but I don't see any reason to question his workmanship. The wiring looks neat and tidy. The only possible thing that could fail would be the switch and that wouldn't be his fault in the first place.

Customer Support : 10
This guy answers emails within MINUTES!!! He was very friendly and happy to accomodate my special request about turning the power LED into an effect status LED. We had emailed back and forth probably half a dozen times, often answering my ignorant questions, and he was always very friendly and professional. I think the longest it took to get a reply from one of my emails was about 45 minutes. Where else can you get an email response from the actual tech that is working on your gear in less than an hour??? Total pro and a good guy! A+++ all the way!!! I won't hesitate to use him again.

Overall Rating : 10
The actual true bypass mod was $45, but my additional mod was only $10 more (just for the extra cost of the switch). This is also shipped to your door. When I emailed him initially, I asked about turn around time, and he said he tries to get to the simple mods the same day they arrive. I've taken gear into the local repair shops and if you want them to LOOK at it within 24 hours it is an extra $75 "rush charge". NOT SO WITH THIS GUY! I sent my pedal out to him on a Friday and I got it back the next Wednesday. How fast is that!?!?!?! Do not hesitate to send your stuff to this guy. With his attention to detail, I am actually thinking about trying one of his custom pedals when I get enough cash saved. I will DEFINATELY be a repeat customer!!!
