Ease of Use : No Opinion
I had purchased an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi pedal(the Russian model; black housing), which does NOT come with any kind of external power supply capability. I kind of have a pet peeve about worrying about changing batteries in my pedals, so I hopped on the internet, and eventually came across Justin's services, and thought I'd give him a try, and I had him put an external A/C adapter jack on my pedal. Although not a very *exciting* mod, it has made my life a lot easier, so I am very appreciative for that. The work done was very professional, and from my correspondence with Justin I could tell that he treated even little jobs like this with just as much respect and care as the biggest and most complex of jobs.

Sound Quality : 10
Playing through a JCM 800 2203(reissue) with a '79 Les Paul Custom, the pedal, when powered by an A/C adapter, is dead quiet when the pedal is in the signal path, but turned off. When turned on, the pedal is surprisingly quiet; there is a little noise/hum present, but I think that is just the nature of this type of pedal(distortion/sustainer). Notably, however, when powered by an A/C adapter via the jack Justin installed, there is actually LESS noise/hum than when the pedal is powered by a fully-charged battery...

Reliability : 10
I've been using the pedal regularly for about a year since I had the mod done, and it performs every bit as good as the first day I got it back from him...

Customer Support : 10
Justin is very friendly, and he will work with you to find out exactly what you are looking to have done, which is a reflection of his high degree of professionalism. IMO, I don't think "customer support" would ever be an issue with him or his work, because he takes the time to get it right the first time, so we can all get back to what we love to do--play music!!!

Overall Rating : 10
I am very happy with the work done by Justin; his work is first-rate, and without question I will be returning to him if and when I ever need to have additional modifications done to my equipment.

electro harmoix memory man deluxe (blue face). i bought it used from cowtown guitrar's in las vegas. when the pedal arrived, i plugged it in and was received an awful buzzing noise. i called up mark and told him the problem and that i wanted a refund. he immediately copped an attitude with me and told me that it was impossible because it was demoed at the store before being shipped out. he told me to send it back and if it worked for him, that he would ship it right back. what an asshole, what ever happened to the saying that the customer is always right? any way i was in contact with justin because he was building me a fuzz drive deluxe and i asked him if he would take a look at for me. he told me no problem and to send a 40 with the unit and he would let me know what was wrong with it.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
sounds way better then when i first plugged it in, sounds clear and the only thing i wish i did was have him intall a true bypass switch.

Reliability : No Opinion

Basically I'm just making this submission because I am so pleased with Justin's work. I blew my vintage Mutron III in trying to build a power supply for it. I needed someone to repair it and to put in a true bypass. I also needed someone to get my Fender Blender to be as quiet with an A/C transformer as it was with a 9V battery. After searching around Seattle for a repair guy I realized the cost of this work would be too much to warrant the repairs and some so called audio specialists didnt seem to know what was up. (One had never heard of a Mutron III. Anyway, after contacting Justin he made me feel comfortable that he knew what he was doing and gave me estimated prices that were very resonalbe and made it posible for me to get the work done. I have had repairs done by other people before and have been disapointed by the results or by the time it took to get the pedals back. The day Justin received the pedals he e-mailed me several times with information (always asking if he should proceed with the work as it progressed). He sent them out as soon as he received payment a couple of days later and I was very pleased when I plugged those things in. The Blender is as quiet with my power source as it is with a battery. He put a filter in. The Mutron blew me away. Apparently I had blown the opamps(three of them). Rather than searching out the originals he put in the same type from TS-9 mods he had laying around. The thing sounds better than it ever did and the true bypass he put in allows me to set the effected gain volume to a different level than the bypassed signal. Couldnt be happier with his work so I figured Id post this so both he and some readers can benifit from my experience. I just sent him an Electric Mistress for a custom modification and cant wait to see how it goes. -Jay Braverman
