I've check it only with the guitars, but i used many of them: fender, Squier, Gibson, Epiphone, ibanez... And its sounds great with Fenders. Its like Fender Bassman/TwinReverb sound.
With humbs its a good booster. Works fine on low and high gains.
EQ is simple and very sensitive - so U can really find what u lookin for.
The mix knob must be max on right when used as simple drive for guitar - but as a booster and bass guitar effect is very usefull. Mixing sound with drive and without drive.
So its a Fender soundlike guitar effect - no hums, no noizzes.
It's not for every1 but I find it use for Blues and Light Rock players.

Well i used it at home, for my effects experiments. Connected to Marshall tsl60 as booster and drive and i like to used it. IT turns my Marshall more into Fender sound - sometimes I need that type of sound.
I really can recomend that drive :)
