Ease of Use

It's simple to use. It's made of heavy blue plastic, looks like a wah or volume pedal. There's an on/off switch on the front. Two set screws on the bottom control intensity and volume. Assuming that this thing functions as it's supposed to, the design is incredibly retarded. There is no speed control that I can find, so there is no way to vary the rate of the effect. The intensity knob on the bottom (how's that for inconvenient) makes the effect more or less pronounced, and the volume (also on the bottom) controls overall volume. All the pedal does is control volume, and you push the pedal all the way down to click the pedal on or off. Again, no speed control as far as I can tell, unless there's an internal trimpot.

The effect is somewhat Leslie-ish and swirly. I wouldn't call it a vibrato, it's more like a chorus or flanger or maybe a tremolo/phaser combination. It sounds pretty cool, but you're stuck with the rate, which is medium-fast. There's also a significant volume drop compared to straight through, even with the effect off.

I wouldn't use it on a gig because of the volume drop. It seems sturdy enough though.

Very weird pedal! It's cool for what it is though Just about any pedal is worth $35, and this is a rare 60's vintage pedal.
