Easy. It tracks fine in my experience. I use it in low light gig situations and dont have trouble seeing the led's, or note indicator.

Its noisy when turned on. If you have any high gain devices nearby (like on your pedal board) you will hear buzzing when this unit is engaged (even if its not in the same signal path). Its spurious noise. Noise dissapears when unit is turned off.

Many others have listed the features of this pedal so I won't bother. It does its job so long as you don't try to tune below E, which is rarely an issue for me. It doesn't adjust as quickly as some tuners, which usually isn't an issue during a show as I don't come -that- far out of tune while playing. If you want to change your tuning altogether you should probably be bringing more than one guitar.

This pedal is true bypass. Disconnect it from the power supply and notice that the signal still passes through. It does not color your tone, and for me that is the most important aspect of this pedal. I play either a Danelectro U2 or a Telecaster through the following chain: Ibanez TS808 (modded for true bypass) > Keeley Compressor > Fender PT-10 > Zvex Box of Rock > Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octave Fuzz > MXR Blue Box > Zvex Fuzz Factory > Mid-fi Glitch Computer > Mid-fi Pitch Pirate > Ibanez AD9 (Keeley) > Boss DD-6 > EH Holy Grail. That all runs into my amp; a THD BiValve through either a 2x12 with Eminence Legends or a 4x12 with Celestions V30s. My tone is extremely important to me; if the PT-10 did not have true bypass there is no way in hell it would get anywhere near my signal chain.

There is no reason for me to own any other pedal tuner. This one has true bypass and the price is right. Of course it could be better, but for the money I really don't care.

I am having trouble with it bouncing all over the place when i am trying to tune it. Especially at gigs and as i use a capo from time to time the guitar can tuning can vary. It can take about 30 seconds to get a good tuning from it which is way to long.
It doesnt appear to impact the sound along the chain but i am sure there is some loss.

It's easy to use if there's enough light to see what letter LED is lit. If it's dark and you're close to in tune, it's also fine, but if it's dark and you're going to Drop D tuning or one of your strings is out a half step or more, you can't tell what note your tuning to. An LED lights up, but you can't see the letter.
It's also a little touchy...+- lights wander a bit, but it's still pretty easy to use.
Everyone was buying the Korg. I paid half for this. For my needs, it's fine...and it fits in my case better. Korg has a bigger footprint.

These pedal tuners should be required equipment in any band. You have to get one that you can see in the dark and that mutes the signal while you tune. It's nice also if you can see the note in the dark as well as the + - of the tuning function, but not critical if you don't change your tuning on stage.
This is a good solid tuner for a low price. Lots of people trade up for Korg or Boss aparently because you see them on ebay.

The one thing about this pedal is you can't see what tuning you are in. I've had to get on one knee to make sure I was correct. If you're going into different tunings, it's a total pain in the neck. Oh and another thing...you can't tune lower then C# with this thing. If I wanted to tune up my baritone, I'd have to use my Korg.

If you're one of those rockers who always stays in E tuning then this pedal will work for you. If you are changing your tunings on stage, you might have a problem seeing where you're at. I couldn't tune down with this thing. Wasn't accurate at all when I went lower then C#. Spend a few extra bucks and purchase the Boss TU-2 pedal. It's worth it...

I was tired of going, "okay, are we in tune," screw it. Get something that sits on the floor and tells me. This does it. Somebody said it's hard to read. Okay, that's true, but freaking look at it close. Once that happens if you can't remember then, you're not in tune. It takes some getting used to, but once done, bang, it's cool. Put it in-line and you have two options. Mute or not. It's cool to be in tune all the time now. It does take a while to register an E. But on the bass you can always go up an octave. I trust it to be my thinking machine.

This is very difficult to use for live situations. You can't see what note you are on unless you kneel down to look at it. I've come out of drop D tunng more than once and thought I had retuned to E for the next song only to find out I was on Eb!
However, it is easy to use at home or anywhere else but a dark stage.

I use: Fender Strat or Epiphone LP, through a cry baby, then a flanger. The pedal tuner sits between the guitar and the wah. Into a Legend 50w 1x12 combo. This works great -- the bypass is noiseless, and the leds are visible onstage from a distance.. the sharp led (green) is a big help too.

If it were stolen, I am pretty big and the stupid shit would be insane... but yes, should it get away from me, I would replace it. I do wish it had big led string letters on it, but the led lights are okay.

Not much to it: plug in, guitar volume up, step on the pedal and pick a string. It's about the size of any other one-button pedal. Easy to achieve perfect pitch with the smooth responsiveness of the LED's. Bright lights. Two output options: OUT1, un-muted through your mix so you and 400 hundred others can hear you tuning; OUT2, for silent tuning -- only mutes your rig when on. Works with one 9v battery or your standard wart-hog plug-in. I prefer batteries -- less to plug in, and there's no extension cord to fuss with. How much can a box of 9 volts set you back anyway?
There is an issue on a dark stage -- not clearly identifying the note. Easy to resolve. I string .011's on a Les Paul Standard in standard tuning. Hardly slips out of tune, but on the occasion it does, it's never enough for me to suddenly be tuning to a sharp or flat, so I don't have a desperate need to see the note. It's usually just a matter of some tweaking. A good fix is with glow-in-the-dark-tape or stickers. Cut little pieces and stick them above the notes you want see. Presto!

No sound mutation. No hiss.

Very reliable. Appears to be somewhat difficult in achieving pitch during two occasions: if you insist on never changing your strings, and when the battery gives up its charge. Simply remedies. And I usually check the battery's life before going live. Like I said, how much can a box of 9 volts set you back anyway?
As for the plastic clicker... I'm not carrying a 300-pound-gut, don't get excited by jumping on my pedals, and I don't play in hockey skates. It's plenty durable.

I like it. Bought it for the OUT2 mute-tune option, visibility, and price. Sure, I'd buy another. Some friends have suggested they're looking to get their own after trying mine. Does the job, simply to use, small enough to fit on your board, and heavy enough to stay put nearly anywhere. My suggestion: Try it. Most guitar shops do have a 30-day money back guarantee.

I have a high quality, hum free power supply which works great with all my other pedals but when I plug it into the PT-10 the tuner gives me a "howling hiss" on both out ports even when the tuner is turned off. When I run it on battery the sound is fine, no degradation in sound noticeable.

The thing is a big, sturdy brick of a tuner. But the plastic footswitch is a joke. The little claws that hold it in place under the metal frame pop lose as soon as you step on it off center and the switch spring gets the whole thing off the pedal. At least it is easy to reattach.

This "tuning arc" consists of 9 segment LED's with ranges of +/- 40 cents. The red lights indicate if a note is flat (left of center), sharp (right of center), or in perfect tune (centered.) When in tune, the green center light will illuminate. What I really liked about this design, is how very easy it is to see at any distance. Unlike some tuners that use dimmer lights, darker color schemes, or one of those thin floating needles that can be hard to read in their displays, the PT-10 display is easily readable from even a normal, upright, playing position. The PT-10 also includes on it's display face a Battery light. When battery power is low, the red light will begin to flicker to warn to you.

This pedal is first in a chain of 4, and it's followed by 2 distortions, so if I turn the pedal on with the two distortions still on, then I get a buzzing sound. This problem has an obvious solution, so it's not really that major. I always have it set to mute when I turn it on, so the sound quality doesn't really apply there. I can't hear any drop in the quality of my sound when it's in the chain either, so it must be pretty good.

It has some tiny problems, like not always picking up the low E straight away, or the fact that on a stage, in the dark, you can't actually see what note it's tuning to, but it was pretty cheap. All I wanted was a tuner and this is all it does. I spent all day looking for a BOSS TU-2 pedal, but nowhere had one so the last shop I went in, the guy showed me this and I took it. #20 cheaper and does the same thing. What's not to like?

Personally I hate Fender... I got a Redknob Twin, and when I e-mailed them about the part I need to fix the channel switching...well they just offered me a new Twin for $1200USD. If I wanted a new twin, or had $1200 to buy a replacement twin, I would...but instead I used my $3000 to buy a Vox AC30TB. :D
Anyways, I also e-mailed them about the pickups falling out of my Fender Fat Strat...that didn't go over very well... the local shop gave me my money back because Fender wasn't being nice to them either.
Anyways, dibs out on Fender customer support if this product dies.

I have been playing guitar for about 4 years now, and I've owned three different tuners. One of the tuner (which was stolen) tuned by vibrations, not by sound...which was an interesting concept, but it sucked so whatever... The other one is not a pedal tuner, but is incredibly good. I use it for tuning my bass when it's not sitting at school in my Sax case (yea, I own my own Sax too...) So this pedal was the best option for me. And since I wasn't playing bass much when I bought it, I didn't mind the fact it can't tune a bass at all....also it's right in my price range!
Id say if your just playing guitar, this is the best pedal tuner for yoru money. But if your up to buying a Danelectro Barritone, or wanna tune a bass with this thing...dibs out.

Like most electronic tuners it's pretty easy to use. Perhaps a little more difficult than your standard OD/Distortion box. It has a 1/4" jack in and two out. One of the outs mutes the signal while the pedal is activated, the other allows the signal to pass through. This is a pretty cool feature if you want to mute your guitar between songs. Across the top of the pedal there are two rows of lights one indicates how far off pitch you are and the other indicates the note you are tunning to. It also has a battery light to let you know when your battery is getting weak. I wish more pedals had this feature.
I must agree with one of the previous reviewers. Under bright or very low light conditions the tunning notes can be almost impossible to read and the lights don't glow bright enough to be seen well under stage lights. This isn't a big problem for me since I primarily use mine at home, but I can see how this would be very limiting in a performance.
Other shortcomings are that there is no microphone so that it can't be used to tune acoustic guitars, but again this doesn't really affect me. It would also be nice if you could access the battery compartment without a screwdriver (or at least a coin) to unscrew the lid.

In my setup I don't run my signal through the tuner. I use an a/b switch to select the tuner because it creates a noticeable hiss when it's in the effects chain. Even when it's switched off it's noisy. Another thing I've noticed is that it's worse when the pedal is used with an AC adapter. I tried several different adapters thinking that perhaps it was faulty or the resistance was wrong, but it made no difference.

I've had no problems and it seems to be solidly built. The heavy housing is comparable to a Boss product, but the plastic footswitch might be a little vulnerable.

Never had to call Fender.

Overall this is a good tuner. It grabs notes quickly and is as accurate as any of the other products on the market for under $100. It does have a few shortcomings, but if you're just using it for practicing at home or jamming in the garage with some friends it's more than adequate.

I use this with bass. Specifically, a Rickenbacker 4003. It works just fine, picking up all chromatic tones.

This pedal is very solid. The foot switch is well-made and in bypass mode cuts the signal immediately.

I have not dealt with Fender directly. I am certain that they would respond to any challenges I had with this pedal.

My wife gave me this pedal for Christmas because she was tired of me griping about the inconvenience of my Quik-Tune. It has proven to be a very reliable and valuable part of my rig. Yes, the letters are hard to read, but for me, this is not as important because a Rickenbacker bass stays pretty much in tune, even if you don't play it for a week or two. I like this pedal, and would replace it immediately if it broke or disappeared.

It's not that it's hard to use, but this is more of an ergonomic comment... You can't see what the notes are very when well standing up. It set up like the sabine music stand (or stick on) tuner where the notes are printed tiny C . D . E F, etc. and the LEDs are little dots right under it. I have better than 20/20 vision and if the conditions are very bright, I can actually see the letters, when I'm standing up. No chance if you are near sighted. But in a dimly lit room which is where it counts, all you see is the red dot, you have no idea what position it's in. Now, if your guitar is pretty close in tune you can assume you are always on the right note, but what about after a string change, or if you do alt. tunings?? You need to see the note. I'm sending this unit back to musician's friend, and have the Sabine NEX pedal tuner on order. It has a big LED complete with sharp sign. Then the usual lights: left flat, center tune, and right sharp to fine tune.

Yes, there is sound quality in a tuner, or perhaps I should say signal degradation... I own all true bypass pedals now, so leaving it in the chain is not an option. I can hear the difference now, I have a couple of cheaper mass produced pedals at my friends house (in case I don't have my gig setup with me)... it can make a boutique amp sound mediocre. I wish someone would make a true bypass tuner. Tuner on, no output to amp; Tuner off, fully bypassed. It would save real estate and money not to have an extra cable and A/B switch. I think there is a market for this... For now, when I get the sabine, I'll just velcro it to the board and plug/unplug.

It's a solid pedal. The tuner circuit tracks notes nice and easy, just like a boss or sabine. Giving it a low rating because of the readability issue. No rating on the bypass because no tuner company to my knowledge is doing this. It would be nice though. I cringe when I read reviews, e.g. my rig is as follows: A Boss TU-12 tuner, into a Teese RMC3, Klon, Fulltone etc... Ahhhhhh.
