Ease of Use : 8
This is very easy to use. It came with instructions (although only one page) that pointed out what each knob's function was. Its as simple as plug and play. I always use my 9v adapter with any pedal, never the batteries--sounds better and saves money. I give it an 8 because its easy to tweak, but no manual.

Sound Quality : 8
I was able to find exactly what I was looking for--a flanger pedal. It isn't a chorus pedal, and it's not a phaser or tremolo pedal (though with small tweaking you can find those sounds) so I got what I wanted. The effects are great. I use it with my V32 Palomino 30 watt combo, in the effects loop. I don't use any distortion pedal or anything else right now because the amp sounds great by itself, I just needed a good flange. With the amps overdrive it sounds great. I give it an 8 because it's not the best pedal I've ever heard, but for the price and the quality (metal stompbox) its great.

Reliability : 8
I haven't had any problems and I've had it for a month now. I would gig with it without a backup. Of course I haven't tried to gig with it yet...so an 8

Overall rating would be an 8. I play pretty much anything from classic Led Zeppelin to Muse to Foo Fighters to Jack Johnson and any other soft guitar music. I've been playing guitar for around 6 years, I have a Gibson SG 61 reissue, V32 Palomino combo (great tube amp), occasionally use Boss OD-1, I'm mostly a down and gritty guitar player with not many effects, just the amp. If it were stolen I would probably buy it again. I like how it is rugged, solid construction. I hate how there is no manual to give you some ideas of some great sounds to use, but with tweaking you slowly find YOUR sound. I chose this because it was only 40$ at best buy. I wish it had a volume knob. Overall its a great pedal, and it gives you the flanger effect.
Good buy for beginner to expert looking for flang!

its easy to use just plug and play, theres no manual for it.

Sound Quality : 6
the sound was decent. nothing spectacualr, just lets off some static. and it has true bypass so that was a plus

Reliability : 1
When i got it it worked great sounded ok and nothing was ok. the next day i plugged it in and started playing and got NO sound from it what so ever, i changed batteries and even used the 9v plug from another pedal to see if it would solve the problem...it just gave a humm, its a piece of ****!!

Customer Support : No Opinion

Very easy to use. Ten minutes will make you a master at it. I didn't need to look at the manual, just plug and play

Sound Quality : 9
The sound quality really surprised me. I bought the pedal from best buy just to see what it was like. I paid forty dollars for it, but i could have spent well over a hundred and still have been happy. As soon as I plugged in the pedal i began hearing tones that sounded very, very familiar. I could get something close to a phaser, tremolo, or a chorus out of this thing depending on how i set it up. here is my setup: fender mexican deluxe strat>korg dt-10 tuner>mxr wild overdrive>EH small clone>starcaster flanger>EH small stone>EH holy grail> Boss DD-20>Boss DD-6>Line 6 dl4>Boss rc-20xl>orange ad30. This thing mixes great with other pedals, especially reverb and delay. The one band that came to mind as soon as i turned this on with my holy grail was red sparrows, or other shoegaze music.

Reliability : No Opinion
This is where i am not sure yet, i have had the pedal about a week and no problems yet, but i am figuring it has got to be too good to be true in some respect and this is the only area it hasn't proven itself yet. hell, if it breaks i will shell out another forty dollars.

never delt with customer support

This pedal really surprised me in every way thus far, i just hope it keeps it up.

-No. It's new out of the bubble wrap.

Sound Quality : 1
Very Noisy, however it does appear to have true bypass, from four setting knobs almost effect is heard. More of a lousy vibrato the a Flanger.

Reliability : 7
Built like a rock, but battery wire is too short (asking for a pulled out wire).

Customer Support : No Opinion

It's the worse pedal I've ever heard. Up till now the worse flanger I've heard was the Dano Psycho triple Flanger. At least the psycho made some useful noise.

The Starcaster is going back to Bestbuy tomorrow. It's a shame Fender put their name on such a lousy pedal.
