3 knobs; Dwell, mixer and tone. Very easy to operate. Never had the manual for it. It holds 3 12ax7 tubes and one 6v6gt. Supposingly you can do an easy mod swapping the 6v6 for a NOS 6k6 and some of the 12ax7 with 12at7 or 12au7. I don't really remember but if you do a google search there's no problem finding info on that. It's supposed to let the reverb even sound better. The silverface holds a tube more then the reissue's and blackface's. It's only flaw is is the size and the SPOINGBOING if you accidentally bump it or when it's not on solid ground. (or maybe thats part of it's charm?)

I have used it live with a Vox AC30, a Fender Bassman and a Marshall JCM800 (my main amp) and it sounds equally good with each amp. If you have a non-reverb amp, this thing really does magic to your sound. I even tried it on my Fender twin, and it beat the build in reverb. You can go from subtle reverb to absolute surf-heaven, whatever you want. It's recommended in front of the amp but to me it sounds equally good through a FX loop if your amp has one.(There's a little bit more hiss when you put it in front.) If you play surf or rockabilly this thing is a MUST. Even if you play blues or rock this thing adds the flavour to your sound.

Well it's over 30 years old and it's still working fine so no question here... It's even in MINT condition....

I play mainly rock and blues and like to experiment with some other stuff. This thing can do anything from adding a bit of flavour to your sound to reverb-drenched surf to space-age noise. If you can find one, it's worth the dough. I found them to sound better then the reissues myself. I will probably never sell it.
