Plug in one side out the other, then edit all the patches you want. The manual is very informative. I upgraded mine with the Hot Silicon Fuzz card. I don't know why some folks think it's so hard to figure out. All the jacks are there. It's just three effect boxes in one box with in and out jacks for each one. Dave has made so the player has an option to patch it differently if heor she doesn't like the order of the effects. A great feature!! If you like it plug in one side and out the other, easy enough!

This thing is far superior to the rest. It really nails the whole Jimi thing. The tones are amazing!I sold my other brands. The CC2 is quiet. I use it with Fender Twins a Siegmund Midnight Special and a Bruno Cowtipper 45. All three effects are the best I ever heard. I have owned many boutique pedals looking for that tone, this is it.

I love this thing. I gave it all 10's because it deserves it. The tones are rich, really the best I have ever heard! Robin trower should try one of these on his next album. I have been playing 25 years, listening and trying to get these sounds right. The CC2 nails it and then some. Waiting in line for the TZFlanger, man Hendrix studio sounds at your fingertips what a great life!!!

Lived up to my expectations and more. The Provibe blew me away, my ultravibe will be up for sale soon. Octave is the first octavia effect I've used and it's awesome, got "who knows" sound instantly! Fuzz is very fat with very low noise. I was plesantly surprised. And it cleans up like a dream. I ordered it with vintage germanium fuzz card.

Fuzz face - easy to get a tone out of it, use your volume on your guitar to clean it up a bit. Has pot so that you can set it up to work with your Wah-wah pedal. FoxRox sell a separate control for wahs, should have included it with package.
Provibe - easy to setup and get tone from this also. Prescription Electronics make a better product.
Octave - very hard to get good tone, lots of cherps, clicking etc. Junk

Blues, JH and SRV - fair match, going back to my other pedals.
Been playing since 1959!
If stolen, I would claim it on my insurance. Not buy another.

Very easy to use. I've been using Univibe FuzzFace and Octavia effects as long as I've been playing guitar (24 years) and CC2 is simply these three effects in one unit.
What really attracted me to CC2 is the fact that these three effects are in one box, and I don't have to think about patching them or powering them individually on my pedalboard. In, Out, and one power connection, and I'm ready to rock.

Fender relic, Marshall plexi.
The three effects are the best I've ever heard.
The Provibe is a wonderful Uni-vibe clone. A bit more high fidelity than the original Uni-vibes I've played. I especially like how it can go very slow without diminishing the effect.
Fuzz was a little darker than what I prefer. I contacted Dave Fox and got his "Hot silicon BC109C" fuzz card. I was able to swap out the little circuit card in about 10 minutes. Now that's more like it! Best fuzz I've ever used. Bright, fat and intense with gobs of sustain.
Octave is exactly like a vintage Tycobrahe Octavia. I ended up selling my Fulltone Octafuzz, which is also a great pedal BTW. It sounds very close to the Fulltone, but not quite as bright, which I like.

I've never had a guitar effect built like this. It's heavy and the box is rock-solid. I guess everything can fail at some point. But I don't expect any trouble from this box. There's nothing cheesy about it.

Dave Fox was easy to deal with. He even answered tone-related questions that had nothing to do with CC2. He's a professional guitar player, and I found his advice to right on. I expect that he would be very supportive if my CC2 developed a problem.

Great box! I kind of expected (or feared) a jack-of-all-trades, master of none type of thing. But I was pleasantly surprised. I can't imagine any of the three effects sounding any better. And holy shit! The owner's manual is like a bible on getting great sounds out of vibe, fuzz and octave effects. 20 pages crammed with pictures and text in a nice binder. This is classy stuff...

The manual is wonderful and helps you get a handle on things quickly. The VIBE is very sensitive to my amps tone controls, specifically gain and high end. Lots of interaction and experimentation needed there. It's easy to get great OCTAVE sounds but read the manual which has essential tips; the FUZZ is user friendly.

I bought this for the vibe but have been swept off my feet by the octave. Truly amazing. I like Michael Landau and this effect is a godsend. I love it! The fuzz is wonderful and quite versatile. The vibe is great: nails the "Dark Side of the Moon" perfectly as well as "Machine Gun" and Trower.

I play rock, funk, blues, metal, surf--just about everthing except straight jazz, country, and classical-- for about 22 years. This is one of the finer pieces of outboard gear I have owned. Very quiet with a great s/n.
I run two Sadowsky guitars--one hum single hum and one strat style with Kinman pups--into a Soldano X99 and Soldano SLO-100. My other effects are a Teese Picture Wah, Demeter Tremulator, Analogman Clone Chorus, Carl Martin Comp/Limiter. I record with a Palmer PGA-04 speaker simulator.
I have a CD being released July '02 at www.cdbaby.com and the Octave from the CC2 is promptly featured.

VoxWah(w/FoxRox-retrofit)>Line6-DL4>SuperHardOn>
2FenderHotRod-Deluxe(clean channels-only) I love it !!!
waiting on a bi-comp !!!
Noise is off my list of problems.... Killer Rig
The CC2 sounds great & mixes well with other effects...
I have always been a fan of Hendrix / Trower (big time !) etc.
I jammed w/ friends & just had fun - then -
I bit the bullet & gave AnalogMan the funds - & IT ARRIVED !
I live in a 1 bedroom Apt - so I was not cranking up anything but liked what I heard - then I took it to the jam & my life changed -
My friends were just raving about my sound & my playing -
I said that it was the same old me - but now this other thang has the control - The CC2 will tell you what to play - That Simple !
I have never been more excited about playing - I practice all the time & I give thanks to AnalogMike / DaveFox / & MikeFuller for changing my Tone Forever !!!

I play Bules oriented Funk Rock & Reggae Music - I am exploring
DUB music & this unit fits right into my vibe .....
15 years of playin - I am playing some melodihorn
(kinda like a melodica - Agustus Pablo) & I play some hand drums too
Bass is next - IT ROCKS !
STOLEN ! - Instant re-order(after the insurance $ comes) -
As previously mentioned in another review -
The CENTER CONTROL ON THE PROVIBE RULES -
my settings -
Provibe -
Voloume 50% / Width 50% / Center 40% ! / Speed 60% (i change it some!)
& I love ECS mode TOO -
Chorus is my normal setting -
but the High Rate Vibrato stuff is nice sometimes too.
FUZZFOOT - various settings sound good - but I Like -
Volume on about 30-35% & Grit 20-25% & Fuzz 50-100% I cannot decide
It all sounds so darn good - 10% grit 100% fuzz is Santana/Hendrix 15% Grit & 50% fuzz is leaning towards Page - High Grit settings induce Ovtave type sounds - KILLER FUZZ !!!!
Octave - I like 0-15% drive & 25% volume - SWEEEEET !!!

I use an American Strat with Lindy Fralin Blues +baseplate pickups into a 100 watt Rivera Quiana Studio head w/2X12 vintage 30s closed back. I love the sound of this unit, it has no equal. The new Fuzz card has a warmer more vintage sound, but with either, this is the best I've heard.

I?ve owned several Fuzz Faces, an original Unvibe and a Roger Mayer Octavia. I liked them all. The CC2 is just as easy as using those three effects. But the effects are in one box so in that sense it?s easier to hook up.
Sound Quality
:

I really love the way it sounds. The Provibe has a control that the original Univibe doesn?t ? Center. It works kind of like the Manual control on a flanger ? you can modify how the sweep sounds. This, alone makes it more desirable to me than any other Univibe effect.
The Fuzz is very warm and responsive. I have the default ?Hybrid? fuzz, but you can get other types and plug them into the circuit board. I can?t imagine it sounding better than this, though.
Octave is a bit warmer and less shrill than my Roger Mayer Octavia, but it sounds very similar.
I?m surprised at how little noise this thing makes ? with all three effects on, I can turn down the volume knob on my guitar and it?s damn near silent.

So far, so good. The thing feels so solid that I have no fear of a reliability problem. I?ll bet that the metal box alone costs more than most of the cheaper guitar effects out there.

This is a very classy box, and in my opinion, worth every penny. Lately it?s been the only box I take to sessions, gigs, jamming. I love it! I?ve owned it since 10/01, but after reading the ridiculous review Submitted by ?Guess_I'm_Off_His_Christmas_List?, I thought it was time for me to submit my own review. That guy obviously shouldn?t have bought it in the first place! Idiot! Take my word for it ? CC2 lives up to the hype! Actually, where?s the hype?? I don?t? see any hype about it. I think it?s the boutique effects world?s best kept secret!
