Really the best octave pedal (I had an old boss analogue octaver, octave multiplexer form EHX, fulltone???s octafuzz and often played on dunlop???s octavio which is very good too, definitely much better than the fulltone???s version). The manual says that it will shake the floor ..... hmm, it shakes heaven and underworld too.
I am very nicely surprised by the tracking and the sound quality. Octron works very well with boosters.
I have a tube amp and a bunch of boutique effects, this one is definitely a keeper.
Thanks Dave!

This thing is so simple to use you don't even need the manual, although it comes with a full detailed explanation of how to use it. Dave even sends it with a battery inside. You just have to open it up, remove the battery cover and plug in the battery, and you're all set. There is octave down, mix (for wet/dry), octave up, and bypass, with a footswitch for each one, which makes this octave the most versatile octave pedal ever! You can have it track with an octave down, octave up, both, or remove the dry signal and have only an octave down, octave up, or both.

Sound quality is the best I've heard from any octave pedal. It tracks fairly well over most of the neck rather than just in the upper part like most octaves. I play it with my American Deluxe Fender Strat through a Bad Cat Black Cat amp, and it sounds amazing! There is virtually no noise. This will nail any octave, octavia, or octavio sound with ease. Easy to dial in Hendrix, Trower, or SRV. It sounds best first in the signal. The only note here is that it only tracks well with single notes. You can't use it for chords or strung out arpeggios like most octave pedals.

Dave Fox knows how to build pedals. When you open this thing up from the back, you see how well built everything is and that it ain't going nowhere. As reliable as reliable can be.

Dave emailed me when I came up on the list, and I emailed him a few times to see if he was even still making the Octron2, and didn't get a reply, but he did reply when I had questions about how mine worked, so I'll give him that. Dave is very good about customer service though.

Like I said, this will dial in any octavia or lower octave sound you need. I've been playing for 8 years and use the same gear all time. If it got stolen, I would definitely get another. There is nothing to hate about this pedal. You will fall in love with it the minute it gets in your hands, and be infatuated as soon as you hear it. I like it better than the Octron because you can activate any option at any time. The Electro-Harmonix Micro-Pog sounds good but not anywhere near the tracking quality of the Octron2. It does however work better with chords. This pedal inspired me to write some sweet stuff. I would go with this amazing octave pedal. You will not regret it.

This octave pedal is so easy to use just step on the on/off for octave up or octave down of leave both of them on and you can turn on a direct switch on/off for boosted stuff and/or put effects in it's own loop. (Perhaps a fuzz) Sounds hard but it is easy to figure out. Dave sends you a nice little instruction book. It also has internal switches and control for the Octavia mode which is Hendrix/Trower all day long.

A great analog effect that tracks perfectly no matter how fast you play. This can nail every Jeff Beck sound, Deep Purple, Hendrix ect.
Just a total blast to play and you can use the on board Octave up fuzz to get Jimi's tone as well. Just what I was looking for.

When I got the unit I was having a problem with it...after sending it back it turned out to be my cable's (dang George L's) so Dave sent me out another unit the same day and I felt kinda dumb on that one. So Dave backs up his products 100%!
Great service even when the customer is wrong.

I play classic/prog rock and this fits the bill perfectly. Having two modes to choose from and a loop that you can insert effects and turn them all on and off with one switch is great. Having a on/off for the octave up, octave down, and Direct (Boost/Loop) is cool you can also dial in how much you want mixed with your signal of each type of octave. So it's about as versatile and easy as these get. The sound and tracking is what really wins you over, add in excellent support from Dave and the rest is history!
