Two knobs, very easy!

I use this for Electric guitars mainly, but have also used it for a few acoustic gigs also. I use this pedal to fatten up my Strat and Tele. I have always had a problem switching from my Les Paul to my Telecaster. I run stereo, and didn't want to fiddle with two amps when switching to my Tele. It always sounded too thin and lacking output with everything optimized for the Les Paul. I tried the Acoust-A-Boost, and it really works perfectly for this application. First, I tried the Fulltone Boost, but It colored my sound in an ugly way IMHO. The Acoust-A-Boost is simply amazing, I have a hard time turning it off, because it makes my Les Paul sound better too. I have been leaving it on, and just boosting the Volume control, and cutting the Tone control just a bit when switching to the Tele. The tone that this pedal produces is nothing short of amazing! Oh yeah, it really is perfect for warming up an amplifed acoustic guitar also.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank, Handmade with true-bypass. Very clean circuit layout, and incredible craftsmanship. I have not had a single problem with this pedal in over a year of gigging.

Customer Support : 10
I never needed it, but I ordered direct, and everyone was very helpful.

Very easy to use.Input and Output.Volume and Tone.Just dial in the sound you are looking for.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Taylor w/ fishman through a SWR California Blonde.Very very warm sounding. It really adds alot of thickness to your sound. This pedal makes you sound as if you are playing through a very expensive tube preamp. You can also boost your sound if you want your solos to stand out.

Reliability : 10
Have'nt had any problems so far.

Customer Support : 10
Super company to deal with. Very nice and friendly.Spoke through email and by telephone.Very supportive and even held a pedal for me incase I couldn't find a dealer with one in stock

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've been playing for 20 years, mostly alternative and classic rock kind of stuff.I do mainly solo acoustic stuff now and this pedal really helps out. I use it mainly as a preamp which really fattens up my sound. It also helps when I play through somebody elses PA I can shape my sound myself. I recommend this pedal to anyone who owns an acoustic guitar, its like having a very simple easy to use tube preamp.

Simple and effective pedal, designed to give an Acoustic guitarist a boost for lead playing, or to be used as a preamp to warm up the brittle sound of a piezo pick up. Volume and tone and a foot switch. Pretty damn straight forward.

Sound Quality : 9
I play an Alverez acoustic with a fishman set up (pick uP)into a Korg acoustic processor, into a mackie blah, blah, blah. It is extremely quiet, I hear no added noise. It is a bit bass heavy, but adjusting the tone control, i can dial in the perfect blend of warmth and clarity.

Reliability : 10
No problems yet.

Frantone is a great boutique pedal company, they are supportive and easy to deal with.

I do solo acoustic shows consisting of originals, blues, folk and pop stuff. I have been playing forever. I also own a Frantone HepCat and use a Frantone Peach fuzz on Electric gigs. ( I play solo and in an Electric Band) I would like to think I inspired this pedal, for it was through a conversation with the Main Honcho at Frantone that the seed for the Idea Of the Acoust-A-Boost was born. I think the pedal is the best boost/preamp pedal I have used for acoustic work, and I have used it on some Electric gigs to fatten up my guitar tone to an almost jazzy thang. wild. I wish it had a Mute/bypass switch and an out put to connect to a tuner...that would be cool.
