Boost Knob. Volume Knob. If this confuses you, I wonder how you manage to even play guitar. Didn't come with a manual...would have been a waste of paper anyway. Hell, BASS BOOST is written right on the pedal. Not like it's called BFX39 or sumthin'.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a crappy Strat with single coils and two 15W solid state amps.
My Orange Crush didn't respond as well to it as my Crate did. With the Orange the boost was clear and you could tell it was affecting the bass frequencies only. The Crate was rumbling something fierce! The floor was shaking, and keep in mind I have to play at fairly low volumes (roomate considerations) with small amps. I would love to see what it could do with some serious wattage!

The volume knob can also act as a clean boost...mine is set at the 12:00 to remain even with the overall signal. The sound breaks up a bit (almost overdrive) when both knobs are cranked

I run this effect at the end of the chain, and it only makes noise if I have noisy pedals before it since it's boosting the signal.

I was getting some good sounds with just this and a DOD Juice Box in front of it going into my little Orange. It also gave a hand to my "vintage" RAT.

I am a huge fan of the Pumpkins and HUM...this box gives me that extra rumble to accentuate the distortion.

This pedal is built tough. It's only weakness would be if there was a fire that melted the plastic knobs and "cute clear feet"

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have only had this pedal for a month. I emailed them and they wrote back really fast so I imagine they'll be around if problems arise.

Overall Rating : 8
I go from quiet to loud but my amps are pretty weak at low volumes so I got boosters to give them a hand. this pedal doesn't eff with the tone, but performs as advertised. I had just this and a Homebrew Treble Booster (not the Germania but some gold colored one) before it and that was quite an experience. I would buy it again for sure, after I had an amp that could do it justice.

I wouldn't change anything about this pedal. It looks pretty nice, too!

I give it an 8 overall because it is kinda pricey.

This easy to use! It has a boost, a volume and a switch. I just started getting really concerned about my sound and wanted more thump so I started searching for bass boost. After playing some vintage pedals and a nasty Boss thing that drained my sound it was up to the Thunderhead and the Hard On(the Zvex pedal. I went with the Thunderhead because I just the bass roll off more. Also it has a super cool white LED.

Sound Quality : 10
I have this pedal at the end of my effects chain at the suggestion of Mia who works at FRantone. It is true bipass with the led. I have a Memory Man, Ol' Fuzzface then the Thunderhead. Man it makes the whole club shake (not the people in it, but the walls).

Reliability : No Opinion
Just bought it. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Fast emails. Mia Rocks!

I just started playing with the Thunderhead and right now it is the bomb. Of course I am a little fickle, but right now I am into bass.
