Easy to install so long as you're handy with a soldering iron. I didn't get the board, just the pot & inductor. Took about 15 minutes from start to finish. I will not rate this since different skill levels will affect how easy it is or isn't.

A noticable difference. It has lost the honky, nasily sound quality that it had before the mod. The sweep is much broader and the wah sound is not as harsh as it was. The Vox 848RI sounded ok out of the box, but it sounds closer to a vintage wah now. Not exact, but close. (Installing the board would probably make a difference, too.)

These parts help this wah pedal sound a bit more like the old Vox wahs did back in the day. It's a nice upgrade that was easy to do myself and was cheaper than buying a Clyde. My wah pedal search is over.

I actually prefereed my Vox the way it was. I replaced everything and wish I had saved the parts. It sounds good but I liked the "growl" of the factory better. True bypass was worth it and maybe the better pot but the inducter I guess is what took away what I liked most about it. You may like it. Sounds more like my old crybaby. Not the nice sweep I was expecting. Tried adjusting it many times to no avail.

Depends on your taste. Sounds good with clean sounds but loses it when overdriven. I wish I had saved my old parts. Anyone know where to get a VOX inducter?

Couldn't be simpler, a wah is a wah, right?

Outstanding! I actually bought two of theese kits and after using the unit I trew away the Vox reissue parts. This is way better than any other wah-wah I've ever heard.

This is a hard one to answer, maybe if I get the question a couple of years from now I will be able to give an answer, 'cause all wahs work great when brand new! But so far it's working flawlessly (I've used it for 'bout two months). When installing the circutboard I also installed the Clyde pot, new in and out jacks and a true bypass switch.

I e-mailed Fulltone about a hum when using the pedal with an wallwart and I recived an answer the same day so I guess the customer support couldn't be better.

I use the pedal with an array of different guitars and amps including Les paul, Strat, Tele, Marshall amps(combos and different heads) Fender(Bassman, Super reverb) and a Matchless HC-30 together with my pedalboard(Fulltone Ultimate Octave-Tube screamer-Fulldrive2-Boss tremolo Voodolab Microvibe-Fulltone Choralflange-LINE6 Delay), and I'm always satisfied with the sound I'm getting. If You are like me, and prefer the classic look over that GIANT WHITE Clyde wah, this is defenitly the way to go.

It is very easy to get a good sound because there is a trimmer pot on the board. At first it felt funny because there is alot of wah range with his reissue pot and hand wound inductor. It almost felt like I could wah wah too much if I wasn't careful. But now I am used to it and would never go back to my vox reissue parts.

The main thing I like about the sound was that it didn't sound sterile. It actually felt like playing a real good vintage wah. The reissue vox parts I had were O.K. but the fulltone parts have much more wah. This kit is really warm sounding even with distorion, the vox parts always sounded thin to me not fat like the fulltone clyde parts. The only way I can describe it is "it sounds like a vintage wah without the scratchiness of bad pots.

I would definetly use it on a gig without a back. For the last year and a half I have been playing 3 times a week with my band and I beat on my wah wah like you woudn't believe and I don't even have the slightest bit of scratchiness in the pot. Mike fuller told me that in five years he hasn't had one scratchy pot come back. He also said that the clyde pots are good for 150,000 turns where the other pots are only good for 15,000-20,000 turns.

Mike Fuller is one of the most down to earth guys that I have ever spoke with. He is just a man enjoying guitar playing and owning his small buisiness of great effects to help him with his musical journey. He is so patient as far as any questions go. There is nothing like old fashioned service. I have always felt that he would never abandon his customers. Try to get that service from boss.

I play all differen't styles. I am kinda like Steve Morse meets, Jimi Hendrix meets, Jan Akkerman meets, Segovia. Could never play only one style.

I opted to buy the replacement kit instead of buying the Clyde pedal. Just plug in, step on it, and play. Silent on/off, true bypass, and a wide sweep.

This wah is the best I have owned. It's like playing a wah wah for the first time, think Hendrix's Electric Ladyland wah sound.

Don't know I have only had it for a week, but if it's as good as the other Fulltone pedals, no problem.

I can only give him a 9 as I have had difficulty getting assistance from Fulltone on a couple of occasions. But the man has a passion for his products, and it shows, they are the best. Hey Tommy (Speir Music in Dallas) I'm a believer.

I play different styles of music from Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir to Eric Johnson and I use the wah for quite a few things now.
