The unit is not in line, so of course it doesn't effect the signal. One problem is that, as the other reviewer noted, the echoes are drastically reduced in the attentuated setting. Since switching between two echo strengths is a big part of the attraction ofg the pedal, I consider this a considerable defect.

This is proboubly the easiest pedal to use. One knob (echo volume), and two foot switches( echo pad and cancel). YOU NEED AN ECHOPLEX TO USE IT!! It basically replaces the old standard echo cancel footswitch of the echoplex. Just plug in any 1/4" cable between the echopad and the echoplex. The echo volume knob changes the volume of the echo repeats. If the volume of the epad is turned down then it cutts the volume, and most important IMHO the amount of repeats. My seetings are loud repeats on the echoplex w/ about 4 repeats standard. The Epad is set to about 8-9 oclock to get a nice soft single delay. GREAT!!!. I would never use an echoplex without it. well almost never. I would however really like to try it with the new "THE Plex" reissue of the EP-2 to see if it works the same.

Great for any echoplex use. I would bribe Mike to make me another if it broke (not likely). They have been discontinued. I have #32 if any one is interested. Perfect in any sence. check out my fulldrive 2 review as well. Peace
